It's actually criminal how this was performed on a semi-final rather than the Grand final.
Yep, this made the semi more enjoyable than the finale was. The finale just seemed a little dull and boring
I don't know, but I suspect that this would have been to much for Petra to handle in the final with her back problems, when she also had to do the voting. She alreafy had to sit down for the Jury voting as it was-
I could imagine that they couldn't show this in the finale because they had to present their own winner in the interval act

Petra Mede has always been my favorite ESC host. Humor on peak, the most entertaining musical numbers, and she produces so much energy on stage. I feel so bad for her after the dumpster fire that was the 2024 final.
This was the best host performance since love love peace peace. Petra Mede is the icon of eurovision, and while some people were upset about sweden's victory last year, we kinda forgive them with the great productions they give. Good job Sweden! You are the King of hosts in Eurovision!

Petra is great! But I always want to mention the scriptwriter, the director and songwriter ✨Edward af Sillén ✨ in the same breath, when people celebrate her (or Måns) hosting. He was the one created both this and "Love Love Peace Peace", "What is Eurovision?" in 2016 (and "Swedish Smörgåsbord" in 2013) as well as wroted the hosts scripts.
When someone say they love Sweden hosting, a lot of that is thanks to that man!

Better than the other song by a mile....especially better than the virtue signaling songs. The contest is held in Mälmö Sweden, which is one of the worst places to be for especially certain democratic while it was one of the safes in the 70s and before.

Although I loved the section of the Finnish half way show 😂 yup, that is how we would have done it! Yeah, I moved to Sweden and then one of the deltävlingar of Mello was held in our home city on my sister's birthday, so me loving Eurovision is definitely Sweden's fault!

Why was this not in the final instead. The interval acts during the final were so boring compared to the semi final.
Because they were more or less obliged to so *something* to commemmorate it was 50 years since Waterloo. The problem is that ABBA are _so_ done with that... I mean, the _youngling_ in the group - Agneta - is 74 years old. Björn hits 80(!) next year. Had it been in 2023 or 2025, they could probably have avoided it. But, alas, they had to do something, dragged ABBA kicking and screaming into it, and for that reason, we got that half-baked mess.
This should win the entire contest.
