Videos like these are so relaxing and I love opera cakes they are to die for and I’m not that big of a coffee person either but to see there is another flavor besides coffee in opera cakes made me wonder how many more flavors can be produced for these cute little musical cakes! Also this helped me sleep last night cause it was so relaxing so I didn’t finish the video till now. Can’t wait to see more!

the way the powdered sugar is so precisely placed is lovely. I usually don't care for powdered sugar on desserts, it's so...powdery and too sweet and usually covers the top of the desserts so thickly that the beauty is hidden. Thank you.
Another winner. Historically, I never associated Asian/ countries/cultures with baking, Most Asian people I know use the oven for storage of pots and pans, never once thinking about that burner. Nor do sweets arouse great interest at family meals. In time and after many TH-cam searches I am seeing another side. I am awed by the artful craftmanship involved in these confection creations. Sometimes it is style over substance but often the taste is nearly as good as the look. I frequently research and reference recipes and concepts in baking. I came to find more skilled Asian bakers than I'd ever expect. Taiwanese baking interests me most because these bakeries have been around (NYC) all my life but it took too long for me to go in and explore the offerings. Taiwanese are masterful, unparalleled flaky pastry crust makers just as Mainland China is with noodles and Japanese with sushi etc. Again great video, Cheers!

I love your work, I'm a pastry chef in Hinckley, England. When I'm looking for creative inspiration, your the first place I go. I always brother's me, that you don't apply your glaze in the mold. If you apply you glaze before removing it from the mold you waste as much and can control how thick you want the glaze to be. Again big fan and please keep up the videos. ❤️

Maybe I’ll find a simple cake to start with and work up to this lol! It looks doable despite all the steps, and I badly wanna see what it tastes like!!!
When I worked at a NYC bakery for a year, opera cakes were my most favorite cake. The layers would practically melt on the tongue. Gotta give this a try!
I'm so glad I found this recipe. I used to love this blueberry lavender opera cake I got at a Russian bakery years ago. Its not the exact same, but looks amazing, and I will try to make this one day! Thank you for entertaining and fun content :)
As someone living in Nova Scotia where blueberries grow wild, I really appreciate how he didn't use the big cultivated GMO blueberries he might have been able to get fresh from Chile. The really do not taste the same. I prefer the way he used blueberry jam and powder.
