    The start of your video is kind of hilarious to me just because all the rubber on mine is completely missing. Thanks for this! I'm waiting for this and a few other parts to get things fixed up on my 95 4x4

      Thanks for watching. And good luck on the repairs. Lucky you finding a 4x4. I’d kill for one.

      @@NickG Thanks! It was my grandpa's that he got new in 95. He passed away in 2016 so my mom got it and now I'm driving it for a while until the used car market calms down in exchange for fixing quite a few things it needs.

    How’s the Amazon bearing holding up now?? I’m gonna be doing this project sometime during the weekend and am trying to decided if it’s worth buying the “higher end” expensive part so I don’t have to do it twice but if yours has held up for two years that’s seems plenty quality!!

      Thanks for watching. It's been two years now and the cheap Amazon bearing is holding up well.

    Hey thanks for posting my 97 was about the same condition as yours and I have the drive shaft apart as we speak. Any chance you have that Amazon link to the one purchased? Thanks again for the detailed video tutorial, awesome job.

    I replaced my carrier bearing on my 04 pathfinder and I’m having some slight vibration from about 37 mph-50mph. only 2 things that I think could be causing it, 1 I put the bearing on backwards but both sides seem to look the same to me so idk if that’s causing it, and the next thing is I might hammered it too hard and i’m wondering if it might’ve bent the bearing? was wondering what you think…

    • @NickG

      Have you checked the U joints?

    • @navarra_rs5_
      @navarra_rs5_ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NickG there’s only 1 u joint on my driveshaft and it’s at the part that connects to the transmission. they felt tight, only thing that I could see is they felt slightly notchy when moving it around by hand. i’m not sure if that’s normal or not. are they supposed to move super smoothly?

    Did you notice any difference, mine has a knocking noise under the truck when I let go the gas pedal

    • @NickG
      @NickG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t notice anything different. I found out it was worn by accident while fixing an unrelated problem.
