Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the time you take to make and post your videos. You have given this RV DIY guy the confidence to take on item you showed me how to do, and saved me thousands along the way. Doing the job myself has given me the knowledge that I pass on to others RVers when they have the same problems.
Hi Darren, I just had my torque shaft drop from my 2018 Lippert system, guess however they crimped it didn't hold it up, rendering that side of the slide room non-functional. Lippert's only option is to sell me an entire new system for $1200 plus shipping, your video is spot on! I understand your philosophy of best to have all new parts to make it right from the get go, but as a DIY'er , going to try to finagle a solution to keep the shaft in place before shelling out the dough. I wouldn't have the confidence to undertake any of it without your videos! Thank you and your team at My RV Works!
Love your videos! I bet Lippert keeps changing designs because the previous keep failing. Schwintek is a horrible design and I wish they’d stop making it altogether.
Your videos are amazing. Well, I have a good one for you. My driveshaft came down off the motor/gears. I was able to push it back and it was working for a while until it came off again. I can see that you are showing a "c" clip. Is this something new? Can I add a "c"clip?
Great Video. My Tiffin bedroom is similar expect the bed is on the slide side and runs out a lot further. Question: I live in very dry climate and with my advanced age my skin is also very dry. I can NEVER complete a cycle on the Schwinkek w/o it stopping which probably messes with the sync. Do you have a suggestion for improving skin to panel surface contact?
We purchased an rv last summer. The slide room is tilted downwards. When closed the top of the slide is tight to the rv. The dealership refuses to see a problem instead their solution was to put rollers under the counters in the slide.
We are replacing the H column. When 1st side is completed the slide came in fine. When extending the slide piping sounds, trued little more and more popping, and little plastic from trim around the topper area came off. Found that the topper has more tension on it. Not sure why. How can I release the tension so we can get the slide out to finish the rest of job?
I need some help with the slide out floor tracks. I have 5 tracks underneath the slide out floor and 2-3 have come off the tracks. I lIve in my RV which makes it difficult to leave it somewhere for repairs. Do you have a video on how to fix this issue? Please help!😔
Question for My RV Works: The rebuild kit from Lippert has two small rivets and two plastic rivets which hold the bearing blocks in the H column. Why not secure the bearing blocks to both sides of the H column with four small rivets?? Is this a big deal?? The plastic rivets seem so flimsy. Please advise. Thanks.
How reliable are the aftermarket slide out motors? Someone commented on another video to try not to use the motors made in China. The Lippert motors are not US made either. Do you have a preference?
I ran into the same problem, bought replacement bearing block that had the upward fin and mine was the downward 😡 Can you only source the racks through Lippert? I need to replace all of mine, they’re chewed up from the broken spur gears.
Question, why would my slid room start to chew up the wood under the room. Only one roller and where the room stops when closing. Roller does turn. Thanks
The Biggest Problem is That The Factory Does Not Always Install Rollers Underneath . And When They Do They Don't Carry Any Weight Because the Slide is Not Installed Plumb with The Coach . When Properly Squared and Leveled With The Coach and Riding on Several Rollers .They Will Last The Lifetime of the Coach .
Thank YOU for another great video that will help change my schwintek CRAP!!! Unlike you, Ido NOT "Love" Lippert. I DESPISE Lippert for producing such sub-standard product which is purposely designed to fail so quickly so they can make stupid amount of $$$
What part of Texas? We started a business near Wichita Falls. Got tired of the 120° Summers LOL. Some of our favorite restaurants are down there though.
Vroom won't sell a kit directly to a consumer. I am in Alberta Canada and I would have to drive my 5th wheel down to Vroom Arizona and user MUST take their RV to them to get replacement. When I called them, they are booking for Sept 2024 right now and I was quoted $4500 for replacement kit. (3 times the price of Lippert) but I suppose if you never have to replace it every year like Lippert's crap, it would be worth it.
Darin have you ever installed a Vroom slide system? They are out of Arizona and replace Schwintek slide systems
I'm aware of the Vroom system, but I have not installed one nor worked on any.

Our pleasure!
Your commitment to a quality job well done is commendable regardless how terrible the Lippert design.. love your teaching video’s
Excellent stuff! Thank you for these videos. You've helped diminish any anxiety that I had about these systems. Camp on!

Excellent video. I now know more about that system. I had never seen how it worked or went together. Yes not lubing is stupid.
Great video Darren! Thanks for the detailed explanations along the way. I am a believer in the CRC teflon spray also!
Excellent video. Nobody better. Thank you.
Good stuff. I'm looking for the picnic table in your affiliate link.
Great video. Learned something even though my trailer has cable slides.
What you've learned is you're glad you don't have a scwintek system.
Great tutorial! Just awesome!

Great learning experience for me with a great view!
Glad you enjoyed it!

What size rivets do I use on my 2014 thor ace 30.2,or can I change to screws/bolts?

My thor ace 30.2 had rivets. But they go only into that thin outside skin. We drilled them out. Can I screw into wood board instead?
Great video my friend,
Thank you 👍

Thanks for the video Darin. What is the name of the RV park where you performed the work? It’s very nice.

I had a Tiffin in and the slide room had double racks on the top. What do you think you think they’re trying to fix a problem

Good video but another camera showing xlose ups of the work and maybe some footage from inside the trailer would be helpful.

can you come to Texas please...... LOL

Why replace it with a Lippert? They have proven inept. Vroom is a better design by far.
