I used to hate my Schwintek because it would stop working once a year or two (I travel full time), but after doing it enough times and watching videos like yours, I have no hesitation about just fixing it. I bought an extra motor and an extra wire harness to have on hand. I was thinking about buying an extra controller, but after this video I think I'll invest the money in vodka instead. Thank you.
Thanks Darren,(hope I spelled your name correctly). I have a Schwintek on our Axis 24.1 and so far it has performed flawlessly. I watch many of your videos and truly enjoy your technical explanations of how things work. I always link folks to your channel when they are seeking answers to problems on their RV systems. Kudos to you !!
8/4/2023 1800 hours. Thanks for this video. Just learned how to troubleshoot. 1 Grn 9 red, even when plugs are switched. Was able to extend and now I know how to retract overriding the safeties. Awesome video
I'm always amazed at your knowledge and ability to explain trouble shooting. I'm working on purchasing my first RV. I have been watching , learning as much as possible for two years or so. I will be purchasing several items from your store I have to get a motorhome first. I have purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee . I have put the Roadmaster towing and brake system . I installed them myself so the only thing I really need is the towing bar and I will be ready. You have taught me so much and I just want to say Thank You !
My neighbor in my rv park, his roof a/c stopped working, so i gave him your channel to watch lol, i looked at his unit and his fan motor froze up a bit.
I have watched your videos sinch purchasing our Motorhome. We are having a Schwintek issue now and the controller is saying a short between controller and motor, 8 blinks. the motor starts to run the quits. Seems like a wire harness but I can't get the slide out far enough to get to it. ordering a harness now. Thank you again for all your insight an help.
Hi Darren: My slide seems to be working just fine, going in and out with no problem. I am, however, getting the flashing code of one green and nine red lights. Any thoughts?

Thanks for making this and all of your other rv tech/maintenance videos, they are super helpful. I have a quick question - I was trying to diagnose a fault in ours - sometimes the slide just doesn't operate at all. I noticed 2 blinks - meaning power dropout. So I started diagnosing that. When I started to disconnect the input power connectors to test if it was getting power, I noticed the unit would flash. It seemed I had a bad connection probably at the crimp-on connector. It looked okay but I cannot see anything else that might be a problem. I pulled the cover just to make sure the connector to the PCB was good and it looked solid, so I re-crimped a new connector (both, actually - despite not being able to induce a fault by flexing the wire at the connection while measuring voltage). So far seems okay. But here is my question: I noticed that when I pulled the fuse for this - the voltage at the input power dropped from 13.4 (my float) to 12.7 - so it had some phantom power on it - probably not much amperage but I'm wondering if this is normal or not ? I kind of expected with the fuse pulled it would drop to 0. Thanks again for all the wonderful videos you make - they are very helpful for those of us that like to DIY.
Have a 2012 Grey wolf slide got hung up shorted the power wires together. All fuses are good but I have no power to the board. Any inline fuses you might be aware of? Slide, all Jacks and levelers plus awning dead. Thanks New battery
Currently experiencing an issue with motor #2 where it doesn’t go out. Am getting code 2 green and eight reds. Have checked #2 motor and pulled it out and connected to harness of motor #1 and it works. Isolated both harnesses and did a continuity test on each harness wires and #1checked good but #2 harness wires showed no continuity on the red wire so I have concluded I need to replace motor #2 harness. What do you think? Still need to figure how I am running new harness because it runs under floor from dinette area across to slide side. May have to run it exposed along walls. What a hassle!
Is an extension harness for between motor and controller? I'd like to relocate my controller to a spot with easier access....all I need is 4 feet to get to a better spot. It should have been built the way I'm thinking from the factory. 2016 Lance Model 2285.
My controller is having this exact problem in your video. 1 Green, 9 Red. I did the over-ride reset, and it seemed to fix the problem. If it keeps re-appearing what are the next steps to check?
This past weekend I moved my camper home for the winter and one of my slide outs is not moving on one side. It sounds like the motor is working on the side that's not moving. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.
I’ve got a 2018 Columbia Palomino. It has the Lippert One Control system. It has 3 hydraulic slides and 1 electric slide. Just recently when I try to open or close the hydraulic slides it blows a 30 amp fuse but only when I am using the app or one control panel. When I use the actual switch in the storage compartment, it works fine. Any clue what this could be?
I have 2 slides and the Schwintek controllers for them are mounted next to one another. If I suspect a bad controller I assume it is OK to swap them to identify a possible bad controller?
I'm having this exact fault on my slide-out today. I switched the harnesses and the code did not change. How do you clear the faults on the module? I ordered a new harness, but looks like I won't need it now. But now I have a spare. Can you use the recovery function in both directions? Thank you
Our power slide on 1999 prowler , will come in but not go out, when the problem started my hubby was putting in new water pump, and he did get enough water in compartment to get on floor of trailor, but he also was working on changing tires, I was standing outside and heard a noise, jumped on into trailor and the trailor was trying t o m o ve out I removed one holding bar, then tried to stop it by pushing in button, my hubby got bar out, finally out trail9r back it, it tried to move out again, then stopped, we moved it back in, then tried later to move it out, not working, the trailor now will not go out b u t it will come in, any suggestions? Is it the motor, one wire when tested has no power
I have a slide controller fault code: one green blink 9 red blinks - hall power fault to ground motor 1.... I have cleaned all the corrosion from the bus bar and the terminals. I also replaced the 20amp auto-reset breaker as it was grossly corroded. I get clicks in the motor and then reverts back to the fault code. I then swapped the terminal for motor one and motor two to see if I can get a fault code on motor two---- trying to isolate if it is the motor or wiring harness. The fault code remained on motor one (one green blink 9 red blinks) after the swap. Would this indicate a faulty control unit?
How do i get it to clear and reset code when I’m switching sides? Or put into mode where it will show codes? I had the exact error you show but when switching cables no codes are showing up at all The reset 6 times and hold on 7th does not help with getting slide to actuate Thanks!
I have a 2013 Coleman CTU271RB I cannot find the Schwintex controller. My Slide out is stuck in the in position. I was able to un-plung both motor and I still cannot push the slide open. where do you think the controller is located, i have look everywhere except the cabinet restricted with the slide in in position.
I have a 2021 sprinter and I have two slides sometimes it’ll work sometimes they won’t. I went on the side and reset the button. I still can’t get anything. I’m ready to shoot myself.
i have a 2017 Starcraft 21FBS Launch Ultra Lite travel trailer and when i tried to run out the slide the left side as seen from the inside would not move the right side moves some and stops, but will return. problem is i have gone through the thing and have not located the controller. anyone who is familiar with these and can give me a idea of where to look. that would be awesome.

Hi Jeff, thank you!
Thank you so very much! I had this code while camping. Was able to clear the code and pull my slide in. Life saver❤

Always enjoy your very useful videos. I call it my training session to keep me diy prepared. Good and easy to understand, please keep doing.

Do you have a video on levelling jacks? My controller stopped working. I'm coming to Washington this summer. I love your channel, great job.

Thanks just love these videos.
now if you could make a dimmer switch that will work on a Grand Design and easy to install that would be someone else.
Another great video. Very informative.

Thanks buddy, Great information as always. Very good explanation and detail. Keep up Great work. This helped out a lot.
I agree. These are pretty robust. I have only replaced one. Tons of bad motors.
