The server admins can reward the booster the way they choose.

It gives that server more capability and u can get a role that gives u power

The more server boosts you get the more levels the server unlocks, the more levels the server unlocks the more perks they get (lvl 1: 2 boosts, lvl 2: 7 boosts, lvl 3: 14 boosts)
But what you get for boosting really depends on what the server owners want give you for boosting, personally I give my server boosters image perms, self promotion perms, a few custom channels, and custom Voice Channels they can create using the Voice master bot
Loosing a boost level happens when someone removes their server boost or their nitro subscription ends therefore their boosts get removed (I think) so for example of someone boosted your server twice and you're just barely hanging on 7 server boosts, but then that persons nitro subscription will end in 2 days the server will give you a warning telling you that you will lose a boost level, atleast that's what I know
The best features of all levels I think are :
Level 1: animated server icon, and 100 emoji slots
Level 2: 1080P 60FPS streaming quality, 50MB maximum file capacity for all members, Role icons (eg. Picture/emoji next to a certain role) a server banner, and a server invite banner.
Level 3 (over powered): custom server invite link (eg. Discord.gg/discord) 100MB file capacity for all members, animated server banner, 250 emoji slots, etc.
There's more perks for the server, these are just what I find to be the best/most helpful, this is from personal experience with my server (140 members) where the most boosts I got were 24 boosts.

FYI for newbies. If ypu suddenly wanted to stop subscribing Nitro and recently boost, you won't be charged but you will still be charged for the recent boost automatically. Unless you don't want to you can add another card that is little to empty balance so you won't loose your money, but you will eventually when you return to subscribing.

When I boosted my own server, after 2 weeks my boosts were removed! It said that I needed to boost 2 more times to keep my boosts, but that doesn't make sense! Is server boosting not permanent or what???

What happens if you have the 3rd month of the boost and you transfer the boost but you only boosted the server 1 time and if you transfer it does it reset?
