When I’ve had my Fitbit on and I am sandwiching a quilt my heart rate goes waaaay up into the cardio zone. And that time count as an activity. So don’t think you’re not getting any exercise quilting.

Chain pieced 80 blocks, sewing the log on the wrong side. Spent the rest of the weekend with my seam ripper. Lesson learned.

I LOVE that you are not afraid of starch. Im fairly new to quilting and all the gals around me tell me to let up on the starching. Tip: I use one of those spray paint handles that pop on the top of the can. So I dont have to press that sprayer all day. Makes it a quick go with no discomfort. Thank you for your great videos.

This shows how quilting is NOT a sedentary activity. I get in a lot of steps getting up and down sewing, pressing, cutting.

What’s the benefit of starching?
I feel there is less shifting when cutting and sewing. Less unraveling for sure. Neatly presses. Easier to finger press too. Just crisper all around.
Starching helps Kimberly make accurate cuts and keeps her fabric stiff.
I am stitching up a lifetime collection of fabric and scraps... doing exactly this! Hope it inspires more to do the same...!

It was on fast speed so I didn’t learn how to use a jelly roll to make a lovely square.
I made a beautiful jelly roll quilt for Christmas with every other in red and green alternating with Christmas prints. Wow so easy and pretty.
