Sol is the twins Father. Calling it.
Can you guys do a behind the scene of how you pump out all of these theories out so fast? Is Disney sending out scripts?
Darth Plagueis is a Munn so we haven't had any signs he's in the show
It’s time for the Replacement Theory talk…
"Kill Sand" shirt should be "Kill Ben"
I feel like Screencrush finds a way to connect nearly every Star Wars thing back to "somehow palpatine returned"
Well unless they EXPLAIN how, then he will keep referencing somehow
But Palpatine was talking about Sith messing around with “unnatural” Force power stuff way before the “somehow Palpatine returned” line was uttered- so I mean - the lore was there now they’re mapping it all out.
I do think a major sub desire of all SW content is to help make the final movie make more sense. Flesh it all out so it seems brilliant (or respectable) in hindsight. I’m still here for all of it but I do think they take every opportunity to help that movie eventually.
Somehow Mae survived...
It’s almost as if lucasfilm is doing everything they can to try and explain that retroactively lol
Fun Fact: The name “OSHA” is a reference to the fact that Dark Force users refuse to install proper safety railings in their facilities. 🤪
Facts.
Light side too. I noticed that in every SW franchise.
Mae - Might annihilate everyone!!
I guess this is a hot take but I am really enjoying the show. I don’t see anything that isn’t “lore” already out there. Nothing seems “new” or changes how the force works etc. I think it’s well written and executed.
But the agenda of diversity and lesbians and such
Other than that @@boredape1986
@@boredape1986what about this show has that agenda?
Everyone knows when you shatter an oil lamp on a concrete structure that it instantly burns down an entire concrete dam
Nobody knows how the big fire came from the burning notebook or if it did.
Obviously the lamp didn't cause the fortress to burn, nor the witches to die, there's more at play, just wait, watch, and be quiet
Mae is the type of person who would burn down their house because it was too cold.
I'm glad you atleast perceived some characterisation in that... because I got NOTHING but forced, pretentious, disjointed diologue.
Sam MaeGee?
@@CrackedConker my take was there is something working behind the scenes still. Maybe the Sith in the helmet was there and spread the fire more than natural, killed the witches, and made it look like Mae....
There was some fight outside of that little fire…
Yeah I still don’t understand why she hates the Jedi…her sister sure…but from this episode the Jedi weren’t any more evil than normal
“What the heck is going on here?” My 9 year old son.
Oh this is brutal… 😂😂😂😂😂
All of us are your son
Good question
As a father you tell him, this is Star Wars for adults. Go watch cartoons, son.
You have failed him.
Nobody noticed that Torbin's face is hurt in the scene where Osha wakes up?
Same scars as he's shown in the last episode
I saw that too and I thought they were going to at least show the aftermath of whatever he went through, and they didn't.
Sol also looks hurt, he teared up while talking to osha
Same comment left on heavy spoilers. Boring.
I didn't catch that, whoa. I definitely got the sense that a lot happened off screen. I'm thinking the other mother might've attacked the Jedi then all hell broke loose
@@mhikoreyes7931 That's because Sol is the father of those Twins, and those Jedi killed those Witches
Your level of Star Wars knowledge is absolutely insane, and makes every single of your coverages worth watching, if only to find new ways to appreciate the show. It certainly comes as a breath of fresh air to all the other hardcore SW fan creators out there who simply 'hate' or 'love' these shows without looking beyond their original feeling.
Your content gives so much more depth to whatever it is you're covering!
I agree. In fact I’m finding it more worthwhile to listen to his show and then watch the episode before, so I have that much more background.
I mean this guy is brilliant! Village…Villain…pagans. Wow I never made that connection. Such interesting stuff in his videos and he makes this stuff so easy to understand…of course his adorable dog steals the show every time with his astute comments.
I agree BUT do not expect them to be critical of ANYTHING, if its bad and the BIGS tell them to make a video, they will.
I too appreciate the optimism ... buttttt... the cinematography, lighting, Lucas did better in Ep IV with a fraction of the budget and spfx resources.
@@congobongo2009 yeah haha the dog is the VIP guest of every episode

Spice Creams come from the Galaxy’s Edge cookbook. It’s a cookie recipe

It's not a recipe that the Jedi would teach you.....
Spice is a drug in stars wars universe writers never read a stars wars book in their life

Spice is a drug irl too, just like spices exist irl. The existence of one does not negate the other. @ZukMyZik
The mother says the force is not a power to wield as a weapon , then immediately wields it? That seemed dumb.
Did she use it as a weapon, though?
@@alexp601you know she did
Kinda like in episode one "an acolyte kills without a weapon" then the guy immediately lights up his saber while staring off at nothing before the episode ends
@@ZeSgtSchultzI’ve heard it explained like this. If you use a blade or laser to kill a Jedi there will always be more Jedi, but if you kill what they stand for….then they are truly dead. So that last scene in the 1st episode makes sense. It’s about destroying the reputation of the Jedi. Ruining their reputation can cause their collapse. Remember certain Jedi are trying to hide the deaths from the public for “political” reason.
@@SWOTHDRA Do you mean during the explanation of their powers, when she pushed against the other women? Or when she knocked the twins down? It's not really using it as a weapon to shove a couple of kids who were being unruly.
The “stone henge” like place in the episode reminded me more of the place from Ahsoka where they revealed the map to the planet that has Night Sister witches.
Also there’s a whole other perspective of that event on brendok we didn’t see. I don’t think its the last flashback
The reactor was tampered with. When they went to the ship the Wookie was working on the speeder with a splicer. Thats a clue. Yes Mae started a fire, the Jedi wouldnt allow these witches to live and do what they did again. But they wanted to save the children before they blew it too hell
Definitely. Feels just like The Last Jedi, seeing both perspectives of Luke’s interaction with Ben that pushed him over the edge.
There’s quite a few perspectives we haven’t seen yet. I don’t think any of them know the whole story except the Sith Lord I think set those entire series of events in motion.

Sol was WAYYYY too emotionally invested by the end, like he was crying and making promises he cannot keep... why didn't the other Jedi call him out for these emotional attachments?
Because he isn't a Jedi. Not by lore, but Ms. Headlamp doesn't give a F about lore.

@@revan.3994 Clearly you know nothing about lore
This episode wasn't great but the comments make me think the audience isn't that smart. Obviously something is off with the coven dying like that. You aren't supposed to take this episode at face value , it's still part of the mystery. From Osha's perspective they were just dead and Sol didn't even let her touch her mother to see her body. Mae was left behind and probably could see they weren't killed by the fire. This episode can't be the whole truth because why would Torbin have so much inescapable guilt about a fire and Sol saving a kid? They should have established perspective better, but I think later we will see what Mae really knows and her perspective which will fill in the questions. I personally don't like the tone of the show, it's dealing with dark subject matter but doesn't have enough of a dark tone.
I thought it was a beautiful episode showing humanity and love among witches, victims of the ruthless kidnapping Jedi. I loved the tone of this episode, but I agree that episode 1 and 2 needed a more badass cruel Mae in it. But let’s see what comes next.
Nobody knows how to digest shows anymore, unless they are just spoonfed information on screen. It just flies over their head. Like its obvious this isn't the whole story and that we will get another perspective of these same events, this was simply Osha's perspective which explains why she views her sister as the one who destroyed her family.
Can we talk about the “spice cakes”? Is the coven feeding the twins drugs?
Probably 😂😂
THATS WHAT I SAID, but it was "spice cream" not cake 🤣
Dune!
Hilarious 😂 brave to catch that Easter eggs.
Possibly
Im guessing koril takes over torbin's mind to have him attack the other jedi a fight ensues ,and the Jedi kill all the witches ,and pin it on mae.
why the fuck would the Jedi do that....They're Jedi. These are not Sith...
@@tonyg1011 because Jedi are flawed. They aren’t perfect beings, just trained to have a lot of discipline. That being said, just because someone is trained with a lot of discipline doesn’t mean they are incapable of breaking.
Me, personally, I like the idea that we are seeing a darker side of the Jedi because there were way more of them at this point VS the idolized version we get in the Skywalker films where they are fondly looked back on because they were an idealistic, fond memory.
@@tonyg1011 Something happened to Torbin because when Osha wakes up on the ship he's standing behind Sol out of focus but you can see the huge fresh scar on his face he had when he was older in the previous episode but didn't have earlier in this episode. He got that scar on this night during whatever he and the others likely did to the witches.
I believe Koril is the Sith Lord behind everything - she wasn’t on floor dead with the other witches when the Jedi took Osha - or there’s another that’s about to be revealed shortly.
I bet you still believe in Russian Collusion, too... LOL
Something I picked up on right away which I'm surprised you didn't mention is that the eclipse of the two moons; one red and one blue; in the sky or Brenock is the overlapping Os we see in the title. There's no way that's a coincidence. Also that the redder, darker moon is eclipsing the bluer, lighter moon, symbolizing Mae trying to block the light of Osha.
Another interesting detail that I guarantee will be important later is Mae finished her ascension ceremony, but Osha didn't. This might mean Mae has unique powers just waiting to be unlocked, and I bet the Dark Lord pulling the strings "I'm calling it now, he's Qimir" wants to use that power for himself.
Look everyone..this guy actually took notes and paid attention 😂🫨😂
I didn't pick up on this. Thanks for the info.
@@majinvegeta3181🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Still feel like Qimir might be a red herring, like how everyone was speculating about Marrok in Ahsoka but turned out to be absolutely nothing.
You know, the two moons are reminiscent of Ashla and Bogan in Legends, which is interesting I think!
Plot twist: There's 200,000 Mae clones with another million well on the way!

"He could even influence the midiclorians to create life" With so many unknown "covens" of force users other than Jedi in the Galaxy... the Sith Master at the time could of learned from one of the force using covens outside the passed down Sith teachings... "if one is understand the great mystery, one must study all it's aspects"
So the show established the witches can take control of Torbin. My guess is Koril controls torbin to intentionally start a conflict and justify fighting the Jedi to keep the kids.
No one cares. 😂
I like that idea
@@watchmesquatchAbout you? That's likely with that kind of attitude.
i think it was the jedi that started the fire to get the girls away from the witches. thats why torbin said 'we thought we were doing the right thing', and why he felt he should die. notice the scars on his face when sol rescues the girl?
I don't think so, whatever happened induced massive remorse and guilt in torbin. Being controlled would absolve him of wrongdoing
2 things I noticed. The “O” in the acolyte opening credits is the same as the moon shown in this episode during the ascension ceremony. The other thing was, that triangle notebook that Mae burned also appeared to have black and white pages.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to see theses I thought I was overthinking (which I definitely still am lol)
I noticed that also
Did you notice how of all the dead witches the oldest Alien woman with the purple headdress isnt there!.
One thing you didn't mention is that as Osha is waking up on the Jedi ship you can see Torbin in the background and his face is clearly injured . . . hinting at the Jedi's role in the Coven's demise.
This is practically the only Star Wars TH-cam channel that talks positive about the content
It's "access media", what else would you expect.
Waiting on New Rockstars to do a review am I.
You don't bite the hand that feeds you.
These guys rely heavily on access for content and money, they have to be nice.
Sugar coating a pile of S-t is still s-t..
My theory is that the twins are an attempted clone of their mother. That is why they are "unnatural" and the force split the clone in two, good side bad side. By going down the clone route this far back you hand wave away the Emperor's return later on. Oh and the sith is just the spikey head mom, no Disney+ show has yet to pull a big bad out late in the show. (Mephisto) It is always Scooby Doo someone we have already met.
I was thinking that, but then the Mother, adult Osha/Mae would have been played by the same person.
I replied to many comments but I'll just make my own post. THIS HAS TO BE JEDI MIND TRICK, I believe they wiped Osha's memories.
The jedi would not feel so guilty if they were just trying to save osha, Mae would not be out to kill those 4.
In the ending scene master Torbin has scares on his face that were not even present in the flashback.
Mae survived but in the flash back she clearly fell to her death.
Also Mae in the beginning seeing her sister and not showing any hate towards her that this flashback shows is very contradicting and she seemed puzzled at Osha trying to shoot her. she doesnt know Ohsa thinks she tried to kill her and she caused the death of her family, but it was the jedi and she is out for revenge for their crimes.
Biggest one of all, we know this power exist is because mae's assistant referenced it in episode 2 fearing the jedi would wipe his memory, just like Darth Revan's from Knights of the old republic.
Also the dead witches in the room have no burns, no cuts or anything showing how they died. I believe the witches rebelled or the jedi attacked the witches for breaking republic law and they defended themselves but perished. There is much more evidence just in the first 3 episodes alone but this is what I believe, still have no idea what this sith lord is in here for.
The "master" of Mae HAS to be the albino maul right
That’s the impression I got after this episode
No, if that were the case she wouldn't keep her identity hidden. Nobody knows who the master is
Not if the end credits of each episode mean anything.
She did seem a little too hostile towards the Jedi, I don't believe her corpse was among the other witches
I think they are hinting at how plagues used the force to "create life" and this is how he learned how I believe the book isn't Canon anymore but I can see how they might go down that path. This would make the master either plagues or plagueses master
Master Sol was trespassing and exploded their power core!
I love how there’s always a call out for how magic is spelled as if it makes any difference lol.
There is a difference. Chaos Magik is different than normal
Magic.
@@ninjaeddy1717 right. I’m sure all the night sisters are constantly correcting people in universe, “IT’S WITH A K!” It’s practically meaningless. It’s fun to know the technical aspects of Star Wars but do you think if someone is being killed or tortured with majik or magick they are gonna be like, “WHICH SPELLING IS THIS SORCERY!!??” lmao
"magic" is often used to denote stage magic, tricks and misdirection used to make it appear like something magical has happened, and "magick" or "majik" or really any other spelling is often used to separate actual magical capability from that simple stage magic.
@@chrisallen9638 and Todd refers to a Scottish chemist while Tod refers to a gay tennis coach with fabulous taste in shoes.
I feel similarly about when people are able suspend disbelief for some of the most fantastical elements of story telling or the inability to care about flawed science until some ancillary afterthought is used and suddenly everything is ruined. Now I totally understand the Spielberg philosophy of logic leaps used in storytelling so I fully get there is a point where you ask too much of an audience when you constantly expect the lack of logic to be ignored. I just find it funny that what tends to cause people to go off is almost always something minor.

Another thing that is safe to assume is when we get the POV that isnt Osha's we will see the Coven didnt have time to die of smoke inhalation or by burning in the fire. The fire was the Jedi's convenient scapegoat to explain everyone in the Coven dying. Since the true explanation is that they were the ones responsible for killing them. Which certainly would make sense as to why Mae is hunting the 4 Jedi and why those same Jedi were burdened by guilt and took up a solitary existence far removed from the day to day constraints & operations of the Order & Council. Now Sol is kind of the exception of that group since he does teach at the Temple, he is surrounded by any number of Jedi at all times & is very much connected to the day to day rule of the Order & Council.
What that could mean is it is not that Sol somehow was able to live with his actions or got over his shame rather he wasn't a participant in the slaughter. He may have been tasked with getting to the girls why the other 3 distracted the Coven. He may have been in the dark and kept in the dark since again the fire would been a highly convenient event so they didnt have to explain the deaths to Sol who likely wouldn't have been okay with keeping that secret.
Now in the first episode & second we do learn that for some time Sol had guilt over Mae's death and what happened with the fire. Yet I think his guilt is over his observing the girls then reporting what he observed to Master Indara. Then insisting both girls being tested. Which led to Mae's fear of being taken and the subsequent fire. Without that observation the chain of events that followed bringing his observations to the other Jedi he may have believed that Coven & Mae wouldn't have died. I also don't believe if Sol had a physical hand in slaughtering the Coven he would have attempted to make Osha his Padwan and train her. He doesn't seem like the kind of Jedi that would actively lie to Osha her entire life for his own sake.
I think the Jedi killing the coven would make sense to why Tobin felt so much guilt to the extent that he is willing to kill himself if it means Mae will forgive him.
So what was the plan if there wasn’t a convenient fire ripping through the building? Murder all the witches and the child that didn’t want to become a Jedi?
Did they know Mae was going to turn into a pyro and they could use her distraction to murder everyone? That doesn’t make any sense
The show is so bad.
Ngl Jason, you made this episode ab bit better. It was still bad tho. But u made it better !!🙏🏽🙏🏽

Nobody expects the jedi inquisition!!! 😂
What I believe happened is that the Sith Master brainwashed Mae into starting the fire, and then slew all the witches. Then his apprentice found Mae and began to train her as an acolyte.
i was gonna say that this was stupid. but the more i think about it.... why was sol in such a hurry to get out? could be cause the building was falling apart. but could be that someone else
attacked the coven when the jedi were gonna take the kids away. and sol and the others were trying to get out alive. maybe the guilt they shared was that they couldnt stop the other bad guys from killing the coven? or its because the jedi started the fire. one of the two
They have no father and Sol's special interest in Osha... much like Qui-Gon and Anakin

Paganus was also a term used by Romans to describe people who lived out in the rural parts. The villagers were also pagans.
The opening scene gave Garden of Eden vibes under a tree that is forbidden/dangerous for them to be near. Which could be a metaphor for Osha gaining knowledge of good and evil as she eats the fruit of her coven's teachings and then later the Jedi's teachings which lead her to reject both

Oh and maybe Mom is the one in the mask. Remember the black eyes? Osha and Mae suddenly had a connection after years apart. In the 1st vision Mae’s eyes turned black…..So maybe Mom “survived “, has continued training Mae, and uses her to get revenge on the Jedi, while trying to luring Osha back.

Maes eyes were black in earlier episode...under influence of a higher force user...dathomirian witch killed everyone else took Mae. She is the mysterious force user.
Screencrush always makes things make sense for those of us who haven't read all the books. So far I like the new show. I don't see anything wrong, but wow so much hate...
What the f*** did I just watch
A 35 min flashback scene that could've been covered in 10 min
The slow death of Star Wars
coup de grâce, I guess
i liked it
@@nexusentme too I need ppl to tell me why they done like it
I’m not sure what the uproar was about. Not sure how this “destroyed Star Wars”. The witches just use the Force in a different way. No problem with the all female witch coven either. For all we know, the witches could have conceived the twins by putting a man under a spell like they did Torbin. Also it didn’t break Canon in any way.
Yeah, it seemed like the people posting about this episode beforehand, had some kind of "gotcha," yet we've seen all this before in other ways.
It’s because it’s not actually about the show being good or bad. It’s become so bad faith if they even see a woman in anything they lose it.
My own personal conclusion but from what I've been seeing on social media & online, the uproar is because it is a female coven that conceived children (without the assistance of a man/men). Many also feel that the episode is an attack on religion (Jedi = Catholic Church/Christians). Of course both of these are due to Disney's wokeness (whatever that means).
@@Redrgon25And as everyone's pointing out that's Anakin (and Jesus)'s origin story too. So the lack of awareness is kinda funny.
@@mokiboyAnd you dont find it odd that one of the main factors in determining the chosen one is now reduced to a technique that an entire obscure cult can practice? How do we know anakins really the chosen one, whats the difference between him and these witch babies?
The stone circle in the beginning reminded me of something different than what you mentioned. In the Asoka series, when they use that map to chart the Path to Peridea they are on Seatos and the stone circle there, that helped them chart their perilous journey, is what it reminded me of most. I would be interested to hear if anyone else thought so or not?
These twins in this backstory remind me of Arcan and his brother from star wars the old republic mmo cinematics.
The kids were just.... Annoying.... Just me ...?...I like the coven angle....but disappointed...😑

You don’t want to sell us deathsticks.

@@mikeljackson9192 I don't want to sell you deathsticks. I want to go home and rethink my life.
This has to be the best comment in this string of comments. Bravo.
I love that they are setting up how Anakin came to be and how the Sith rose up again through Darth Bane’s principles. This witch coven is definitely Sith inspired and could be learning under Plaguies or someone tied to him. I’m excited to see who is revealed to be behind the mask and who is the master
I like the part where all the witches die because they were researching spiders in the amazon
“…ET dressed as Olenna Tyrell..” genius 🤣🤣🤣
it's little Tomlin Baratheon
It was Tommen but it was even him with a beard in the 2nd episode and I didn't notice till I looked on IMDB
The mother’s thread speech reminds me of obi wan’s “ it binds the galaxy together”
Ryan, youre the ONLY reviewer of this show that has mentioned the books.
No wonder Master Tommen wanted to kill himself before the release of this week's episode
that was king tommen, right?!
@@tooslow4065 You chose the correct user name 4065
I'd bet good money that they were created by Sith sorcery. Mother bargained with a sith, he then manipulated the Jedi into killing the coven (Master Sol "dont trust your eyes") and convinced both Mae and Osha that either one burned down the temple.
He (the Sith) only needed one which one never mattered.
Your breakdown is perfect. Really well done. Thank you.
Respect to Screencrush for showing the Ring of Brodgar, here in Orkney!. One of the most famous of them all. There is also an underwater stone circle here, let's see if it turns up aswell.
Brendok is named from starwars fan "brendok lake"
Funny that they are not identical twins as kids and then as adults they are identical lol.
They pretty much are though..... IRL the term "identical" twins still allows for minor differences.
@airfixx_8952 exactly and it goes the other way too for years on full house Mary Kate and Ashley were thought by everyone to be identical but were fraternal.
Clones is probably a more accurate description than twins, even if they were birthed, considering the context of the story and what they seem to be both drawing from, and building to
Loved this episode I'm definitely curious to see what actually happened really need to see a lightsaber soon
The events of that night could be coming from different points of view in future episodes and it opens up another mystery involving the creation of Mae and Osha which is reminiscent of Plagueis' plan.
