this is the first time I was struck with a jaw dropping awe, not from the delicious food, but chef's amazing hyper speed perfection from one burner to another. That guy is single handedly managing whole kitchen which is twice the size of a busy food joint kitchen itself.
The training for Marriot Hotel chefs in Asia is long arduous and thorough, graduates with experience are very high caliber chefs. Note that this guy's English language skills are also top notch. As an example, this man can completely skin and debone a whole chicken in less than a minute with a paring knife, and he learned that in his first few months of training, and probably did thousands of them. Marriot Chef graduates really really know their stuff.
I love Mark's enthusiasm. I'm struggling with awful depression and anxiety right now and watching his videos remind me there's something to live for. Places to see, delicious Thai food to eat. Thank you for your wholesome channel 🙏 you can't believe how comforting it is for me
I also have suffered with severe depression and anxiety, recently I took 2.5 grams of mushrooms (the special kind) and it has made a huge difference in my daily sense of self peace and happiness. I believe it's those hot peppers he eats. Father would eat onions and hot peppers with each meal. And stayed lean all his life but also stayed active all his damn life. I do believe the pepper definitely is a key to good digestion. I believe Mark knows this to along with ginger . Great herbs for digestion. Smart man does his homework👌. His mother had to work miracle s in their kitchen I bet...full of wisdom in they're family.

Normally when we see fire over our wok, we put it out. But this chef...no.. he just add more things in it. Not to mention, like any respectable southeast Asian, he cooks in his slippers! lol
Almost all those Marriot hotel trained chefs have huge skills, they are trained to know Continental cuisine as well as Asian cuisines. Really a top-notch training program for aspiring chefs. It's many years of hands-on training within a very successful worldwide Hotel chain.
I have such a love/hate relationship with this channel. I love the content and Mark's enthusiasm, but hate it cos it's like torture seeing all this amazing food being made and eaten when I haven't got anything like this near me 🤣🤣 I cant wait til Thailand reopens so I can go back and visit again, I'll be checking out some of the restaurants Mark has shown us here for sure 👍

Very tough guy, those hotel kitchens are grueling places to work, usually twelve hours a day working on your feet, running around, humping a lot of heavy stuff around, working over 600-degree hot pates, eye level broilers and on and on. Very tough to do what he's done in his life. But he toughed it out and now has his own restaurant. I'm very happy for him and will make a point of trying his delicious food. World class very high-quality meal in a laid-back atmosphere for$15 is a must do for me.

You can literally say that the food is incredibly delicious when the food pan used for cooking became black both side, it symbolizes millions of dish cooked on it..that chef is a legend!

Yup if I live there I would be one big boy with those good food, who can resist and the price, outstanding. Here for 30 bucks in the states wouldn't even fill you up in a good restaurant 😅
$30 usd for 2, about 4 dishes in a non AC is the average price here in singapore. Not crazily cheap lol neither expensive n actually might b expensive in thailand. But A whole fish or a couple of large prawns would cost 20 usd a dish. If 50usd for 2 at swensens or jacks place then thats crazy cheap

Yup if I live there I would be one big boy with those good food, who can resist and the price, outstanding. Here for 30 bucks in the states wouldn't even fill you up in a good restaurant 😅
$30 usd for 2, about 4 dishes in a non AC is the average price here in singapore. Not crazily cheap lol neither expensive n actually might b expensive in thailand.
But A whole fish or a couple of large prawns would cost 20 usd a dish.
If 50usd for 2 at swensens or jacks place then thats crazy cheap
