    Anyone that thinks 70 is old is obviously unaware of how quickly time passes. 70 is the new 50! I plan on being Carnivore well into my 90’s.
    Currently 56 and thriving 😊

    Great interview. Thanks to both of you for your service. SMH over schools requiring a doctor’s permission for parents to feed their own children home-cooked food.

    Dr Baker, I'm a flight surgeon and all of my colleagues recommend and document a plant based diet. New to the job but looking to stir that up as a carnivore doctor surrounded by vegetarian ones.

      I’m suffering from carpal tunnel and I used to fast. I’m afraid to fast as I am trying to solve my carpal tunnel syndrome by eating more meat. Can I get some suggestions?

      @Lori Dukes eat strict meat and eggs. As much as you want. Make sure you get your electrolytes starting out in carnivore. Eat till your full each time. You can do that when you're strict with the diet

    I have known so many guys who were amazing in their teens and 20's who became unhealthy shortly after. Meanwhile a beanpole like me on a heart attack diet determined to kill himself with a high meat and fat diet My taste has always been for meats, eggs, fermented dairy. Sour, salty, meaty is what I enjoy. At 6'6" I never got heavier than 200 pounds despite hitting 6000 calories daily. Never get hungry but never get full either. No exercise, ever. Diet is more important when it comes to weight gain. Up until 2022 my diet was cheaper than anyone else I know! When I did eat out it was always at a buffet, and in the last 30 years I think I have eaten out a total of 60 times. The handful of times I went on a business lunch to a steak house it was a disappointment compared to home cooked.

      6000 calories would equal to how many lbs of meat and fat, would you estimate? I'm not one who tracks calories, but I'd guess around 2500 for me daily, as I eat around 2lbs of meat a day and around 10 tablespoons of added fat.

    I'm day 6 on full carnivore right now. Still lifting. I noticed with carbs I could lift heavier. I'm sure I'll adapt at some point. The satiety factor is worth it.

      @@TCAPRecipes The cravings is withdrawal. 4 major injuries with lots of opiates so I know about withdrawal. I hate withdrawal, I hate addiction more! Sugar is not as bad but seems to hang on longer.
      Here is what helped me. Fry up some realy good Bacon. I like the smokey stuff. Keep it around, refrigerated in a covered dish, in your lunch box ... always handy! When you get the sugar craving eat Bacon! Probably stalled the weight loss but the cravings were gone in a week or two. No sugar Beef jersey works too but I like Bacon much more!

      @@TCAPRecipes I've done carnivore on and off for years. I do still feel like I sacrifice a little bit of strength but the consistency of the energy throughout the day and mental health benefits are enough to keep me on board.

    Thank you for the gentle reminder that boycotting restaurants is one of many ways to combat climate change. The other industry that generates enormous amounts of single-use rubbish - and Dr Baker has mentioned this- is medical care. So, let’s all stay as healthy as we can for as long as we can. 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖

    Also if you are doing carnivore can't you lightly take meds to keep bad cholesterol lower? Does anyone have any info they can post on this?

    • @crisbowman
      @crisbowman ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Another study came out this year actually finding no correlation between LDL cholesterol and heart disease. Every cell in your body uses cholesterol and LDL is necessary to transport nutrients in the blood. It is only when it becomes corrupted by oxidation or other chemical reactions that it becomes a problem.
      They have found correlation between heart disease and processed food including processed meats, but unprocessed meats when isolated in a study have shown no correlation.

      No such thing as " bad " Cholesterol. Cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease, let alone an association to it. Inflammation does cause heart disease as well as many other modern diseases. Eating carbohydrates/sugar (along w/ fats) causes this Inflammation. Chronically engaging the glucose-fatty acid cycle ( or the Randle cycle ) is the culprit.

    • @ericstephenson145
      @ericstephenson145 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Medical “science” clearly has the whole LDL thing wrong. Why would a healthy person take drugs 😂
