EVOLPOW M2A Brute ALL-IN-ONE Smith Machine Home Gym

- This is the review of the Evolpow All in One Smith Machine and more. It can be used as a Half Rack, Functional Trainer, Smith Machine, Chest press, pec deck, and Landmine station. It has a lot of versatility and does some things better than others sort of a jack of all trades, but master of none. They’re all all serviceable, but not as good as individual stand alone machines, but it does give you a lot of versatility in a small footprint. It’s a solid budget piece, but there’s definitely some things I would change if I was gonna keep it long-term. I go over those in the video.
Be sure to watch the drop video at the end where I show an issue with the Smith machine safeties. Nothing broke while I was using our testing it but it’s just something to be aware of that if shook or hit in a certain way the safeties could fall off.

@@TheKurtlocker Big Dangle Guy!
I bet that was a lot of work putting it together for the review. I like the idea of an all in one but I think I’ll always be annoyed by the trade offs unless it’s the Ares 2.0 or Rogue FM. I am Smith curios but would more likely go with the Bells of Steel removable type… even then I don’t know. Power tech has a pretty sweet Smith/high/low row but I’ll just stick with free weights for now. Thanks for the thorough review and it’s good to see other reviewers have guest spots on each others channel. See you at HGC
@@DerickCross34 I am with you on on that stuff I am smith curious as well. Not something “I need” but I also wouldn’t be mad if I had one with enough space. Yeah the build took like 5-6 hours total but it was spread out over several days because I was missing a few parts as well
Good looking Hoodie
@@keithhoneycutt2324 Solid. Highly recommend
You had me at “it’s not that bad” 😂
Yeah, you have to manage your expectations when it’s 14 gauge steel.
i feel like that chest press would be better with some horizontal bars but it might make it harder to get in and out of it. I can see how the pec deck, press can be nice to have in a home gym. keep the reviews comin Carp!
@@aptn22 yeah I agree. I know That’s why I mentioned getting rid of the chest press all together and moving the functional trainer to the middle. It would give me some more room and you can utilize the middle of the rack at the front of the rack cause right now it’s pretty tight in there.
Great job on this review! This product definitely needs some work. Having the Smith Machine on the front uprights is a terrible design choice since it prevents you front using the product as a half rack.
@@DesignBuildLift yeah that’s what I ran into the Smith and functional trainer was OK but the uprights are really not usable for Barbell work and I do a lot of barbell work. I really couldn’t utilize it like I would normally want to.
I've been looking at some budget smith machines but have been leary due to safety concerns and quality. I'm probably going to look at the Bells of Steel smith attachment once i upgrade my rack
@planetquarantine3473 yeah the Bells are still is a good option. If you already have a rack that you wanna attach it to if not, I would recommend probably one of the rit fit ones like the M1 version two or the rit fit buffalo. the buffalo is a little bit beef here it’s 2 x 3 steel. They both have a little bit more room between the front of the rack and the Smith machine makes it easier to use both at the same time.
Not the mug!!
@@RoryEllisMusic yeah there’s still a little bit of life left. Thanks the gorilla glue, but she took a hard fall. The drink spotter however, remained intact.
What’s happening allinone Carp?! What banks for the walkthrough
@@TheKurtlocker dance with who brung ya
Do the plastic pulleys have ball bearings, or does a thru hole in the pulley rotate on the bolt?
It rotates, but It’s all plastic best I can tell. Aluminum pulleys with bearings would be a nice upgrade and a lot smoother
@carps_gym I would use something thicker on the bushing suface like WD40 specialist gel lube.
Look out below…. Nice review

But did you die
@@NoFate247 I didn’t, but my coffee mugs certainly did
I’m sure there’s a scientific term for what im describing…but that machine seems very cluttered and would give me crazy anxiety in my small garage. But I can see it would be attractive to some people. I’m just a simple man I suppose 🤷🏽♂️
@@619_ER yeah that’s kind of my take on it like I said I would remove the chest press and stuff and leave that space open and just have a low row or something but yeah it’s very tight for me yet. 6’2 280.
@ definitely claustrophobic 🐣
