What kind of flooring do you have under the horse mats? I have corkwood and wasn't sure horse mats alone would be enough padding for deadlifts or a power rack. Thought I would have had to build a rack platform as well, now thinking I may be able to get away with just the horse mats?
@@ChaiBronz I have some old foam stuff from the carpet that was there but it’s super thin. Besides that it’s just the concrete and the mats protect it well with the bumper plates.
How much did you personally spend on this whole setup? (not how much it retails for)
@@Maverick-jn9ur around $5k
hey does it have to be screwed to the floor or is just the wall mount enough?
what holes do you need to drill in the wall?
@@Bromm412 I didn’t drill it into the floor and Its been super stable. Total of 440lbs on the weight stacks (it’s a 2-1 pulley ratio). There’s 8 lags in 4 different studs. It’s not going anywhere
thanks for the video
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
I've seen another video where the guy switched the whole stands and so the those cable handles are on the inside of the rack.
@@sirhCseyeR yeah some other folks mentioned that. I haven’t decided if I want to try it or not.
nice set up , That's about the same amount of room I have in my apt/home gym , I cant Drill into the walls though because I rent :(
@@dereknoland9975 dang, well my other option was to go with the bells of steel hydra rack. It’s pretty compact. Alex Leónidas has a video on his set up and I really liked it but it doesn’t have cables.
hey
ATX-WCR-600 Wall Cable Half Rack is not better? it have arms pulleys innovation
@@Master_T_hyperplasia_papya not sure. I didn’t look into that one. Sounds promising tho
what wall control did you purchase?
@@listentwice two of the black panels and I picked the attachments I wanted separately

@@WiecznieNieNasycony I didn’t like how small the seat was. Wanted something really stable. May invest in the freak athlete bench by the end of the year
@@waughfit This is unique seat for many exercises because you can put it very high on the bench and rest your chest on the end of the bench normal incline benches do not have this option
Nice, does the tractor supply mats rub off onto your feet or crumble?
@@NorCalDad nope, no crumble at all. Ive only had a white rag turn slightly black after cleaning the mats pretty aggressively but thats all.
I have being using those Mats for 10 years. They are in perfect shape after heavy use weekly. They do smell for a long time though.
can you use the pulley as a lat pull down?
Yes, I have an attachment that connects both pulleys and I put a plate in my lap while I sit on the floor. It works.
@@waughfit sit on the floor not ideal but I guess it works
@@stefanomancini6569 I do a lot of weighted pull ups so it doesn’t bug me too much

WHy you not buy
RX3 Tornado Wall-Mounted Rack? it looks much better eith that cable arms you have real x2 pully station
@@Master_T_hyperplasia_papya figured rep would have better quality and customer service. I don’t know if that’s 100% true. The tornado does look good 👍🏼
@@waughfit RX3 Have arms pully it is like real cage cable station 180 cm cable spread
you cannot do real cable fly on rep
@ ah I haven’t ran into any real problems with the width. That’s good info tho. Wish I would have considered the tornado more but I’m overall happy with my choice.
only issue I see is that if you are going to go really heavy on the bench, there is no room behind you for a spotter.
@@dbshaw-m5o true, but I just use safety arms. Think someone could kinda squeeze back there but it would be tight
Nice looking gym... I was going to purchase this peice.. but my wife said NO WAY!! "Your not going to connect that to our wall and sling weights and monkey around the bar.
