I’ve actually built a draft of that deck hahah :). With Bitter Triumph too. Although I think the 3 mana one where you gift to get 3 2/2s back may be more practical, cause you still get 15 power back I think!
Crazy cards in this set. I really was happy with the current meta but this and UB are gonna shift so much hopefully still feels like the standard we love
If you double Aurelia's extra combat triggers, it doesn't untap them for the second extra combat. This is because it untaps them then creates an extra combat immediately
This set has me wondering, with Zombify and the new demon, if Sultai Emergence will stay the go to reanimtor deck tweaked a little bit, or if it will go mono black/golgari. I think Emergence is better lined up against Domain with main deck Jace, but G/B can have good answers, too. Also, Maelstrom Pulse is going to be a sweet 1/2 of and/or sideboard all-star.

That banner of kinship is gonna make ghost vacuum and song of totentanz kinda insane. Either of the combos get +2 and haste from enduring courage and then just get stupid with the banner😂
In my opinion just the Bloodthirsty Conqueror and probably Koma can be a central part of a tier 1 deck. All the other mentioned cards are not good enough because of some reasons. They sound good but will not work fast or constant enough.
I think you're being too pessimistic. Ya, of course 90+% won't see play, cause u can only fit so many cards in a deck. But there are certainly more than just 2 from this video. An easy one u missed is llanowar elves.

I was so hype for the abyssal harvester but the target has to die the turn you use the ability so it has to stay on the field a lot longer before it sees value. Still nuts when it works though
Nah, you just self mill it or discard it! And if opponent discards any creature card you can steal their thing instant speed :). Definitely need to build your deck around it with mill or discard though to make it very good!

Probably like 10 will be super relevant like Boros Charm which will go in any Boros. Will depend on which colors are reasonable. And then another 30 probably relevant at some level. And another 100 on top of that can probably make a showing in a fun deck that is still good. Just guessing, but like 400 plus new cards! :)

Fynn was my favorite card! Uncommon too can’t wait to see what you do with it. Also in my opinion Hare Apparent will better in limited than standard but if anyone can make it a banger it’s you!
Yeah Flynn probably will actually be good this time! And I’m definitely trying Hare. I have some tricks up my sleeve and it’s a step up from the Ooze guy! :)
There's actually a pretty disgusting combo with another card in this set. 4 mana white card that resses ALL 2 mana dorks from your graveyard. So just turbo mill and BAM, for just 4 mana you have 100s of rabbits.
I think I'm going to wait until foundations comes out before trying for any new decks. I'm hoping to get into using decks of each color. Lately have only been running red, green, and black. Can't seem to get into the blue and white. Also haven't played red in a while due to the stigma plus my red deck had the leyline in it which is now gone. Also, green and black are much more fun. Looking forward to the next skeleton deck.
Don't be afraid to try different colors. Lots of fun can be had in each. Everyone has there preferences for certain colors of course, but still. Also, you don't have to limit a color to a specific archetype. So you don't want to play red aggro cause of the stigma? Try red control or midrange, or even combo (there's a cool one with artist's talent for instance). You'll be surprised at how fun these off meta decks are.
@stebobibo OH I've played some multi colors before like Rakdos, Golgari, and Abzan but the primary color is mostly mono with a little sprinkling of the other colors for either defense or destruction. I'm still a noob who doesn't know when to mulligan. Only been playing MTG for about 2 months and only on Arena. I used to be an old Yu-Gi-Oh player who started when the first set came out.
@@CMyers73 I see. Well it's good to stick to mostly 1 color decks when you're new to the game. The starter decks the game gives you are pretty decent for learning too. As for mulliganing, here's general advise: Know your deck and how many lands you want to reach in a game. Rarely keep 1 land hands. If you're multi-color, never keep a 1 lander unless you're aggro and the land taps for both colors, and your hand is mostly 1 drops. On the draw you can keep riskier hands because u draw turn 1. Optimal starting lands is usually 3 or 4. Some fast aggro decks like mono red prefer 2. Never keep a 7 lander. But a 6 lander can be keepable if you're a late game deck and some of the lands let you scry or surveil. Still rare tho. If you know what you're playing against (in BO3 match), that will influence ur mulligan a lot (deciding if your hand can win vs opp). Most of time your mull decision is based on if you can reasonably reach lands to cast the spells in your hand, and if you have early plays (but some matchups don't require early plays, like control mirrors).
@stebobibo Thanks for the info. I tried playing the starter decks when I first got on, but they weren't very fun and very frustrating to play due to the way I learn. I'm a very visual learner. It's why I like decks on TH-cam so I can see how to play it. Mythic Mike is by far my favorite because not only does he come up with budget friendly decks that stomp the competition, but he also explains how the combos work in a way I can understand.

It's funny I've actually been considering running this lately. The red decks are so fast. Being able to slow them down with unconditional removal for 1 mana is sick. The prob is it leaves behind a 2/2. So I see this card as a stall tactic u use to get you to your temporary lockdowns or sunfalls.

There is a 3 mana viper that does it in standard currently (gets anything from graveyard) but you have to pay mana. This one keeps doing it but you have to set up a bit more. Give it haste and something that auto-mills and LET’S GO!
Yeah, it's so scary. Not just because it's a reanimator, but because of how versitile it is. Any trade in combat you can res something. Any time you or your opp uses removal on another creature. Plus it can act double-duty at a hate card vs reanimator decks. It's pretty nuts.

But,what do you think about this: Archangel Eslpeth,this Ajani and Oozolithe the Shattered Spore. Maybe throw in Innkeeper's talent. Let's say you have a 2/2 out there. Dunno what,maybe a coppercoat wangard or anything. Suddenly he is a 5/5 or more flying angel with double strike...I like the hydras from this set,I have a stupid "Hydra Tribal" deck,they would fit in flawlessly. Aurelia,hmmm...Maybe some kind of Naya Angel surprise? Sigarda,Font of Blessings, Aurelia the law above.this Aurelia,Smuggler's surprise...I do no know if this would be viable,but it looks cool (at least in my head)...Maybe I will give it a try....Do you think there will be viable elf and/or dragon decks?
Weird it was removed! Yeah, it will have to go in a very specific deck that ramps with lands, but I’m gonna try! :). I think dragons and elves may be close, we got a shapeshifter and colorless guy that comes in as any tribe too!
Something I've been waiting a while for too. Also I think the curiosity card would be a great addition to this deck (although sadly not a flyer itself). One last piece for the deck would be a finisher like rally of wings

It’s generally Standard. A few Jumpstart cards not on Standard too. I actually think power level will be ok! Many of the good reprints have been in Standard before, so assuming Wizards didn’t miss some busted combo. But we’ll see!

How many foundation cards do you think will make a difference in the standard meta? Just curious if you had a guess. I know lots will make fun decks.

I like the idea of a "Naya Angel surprise" haha. Definitely can work, easy to get an otk with aurelia. Elf much more likely to be viable than dragons.
