- NEW. Philip Elsmore is back to bring Thames to a mellow close after a busy day of fun and frolics but not before the Rev Peter Lewis reads an extract of a poem from a poet who went insane...! Personally I prefer Steve Race telling us to imagine we're a bumblebee snuggled next to a beautiful woman, but there we go. As the clock appears, we're serenaded by the dulcet tones of Barry Manilow.

My oh My how the world has changed lol. These uploads are sheer class, will show to my kids to let them know how lucky they are with their TV choices these days.
Barry Manilow... LOL!
Has anyone any idea as to "Sit Up & Listen's" theme music?
Indeed, re. another post here it's entirely conceivable that Peter Lewis might have introduced Peter Lewis, if you see what I mean, because all epilogues shown on LWT were actually made by Thames.
I rather enjoy the sort of weather being forecast here, and I think a lot of other people do - the only real alternative at that time of year is wet, windy and mild which actually *does* deserve Elsmore's gentle opprobrium.
Does anyone else think "Sit Up And Listen" is a rather abrupt name for an epilogue?
It sounds like something left over from the '60s.
@@kengeorgejones6855 It does, but hey, it could have been "Shut Up and Leave"
And you thought Philip Elsmore only handed over to Peter Lewis on Fridays, eh?
