I remember him well at Sheffield Wednesday. He used to come on as a substitute in matches, and he was incredible how he changed the game. Brilliant skilful player. Never forgotten.
I am a Southampton fan.. remember seeing him play at the dell... Great player.. May our good Lord grant him peace and a place on heavens team of angels.. R.I.P.
A very sad commentary on the life of a man who was presumed to have everything. Nobody knows how many people struggle with demons in their private lives. May he rest in peace.
I watched him from start to finish at St Andrews, he once said if you can't run you can't play football, he could run alright and he certainly could play football, another saying from his time at St Andrews was There is no Substitute for hard work, how true is that? our very popular saying was Trevor Francis can walk on water! What a wonderful player he was, R.I.P. Trev and Thank you!
So sad, especially with the loss of his wife, but what a great footballer and a nice bloke and his legacy will live on, especially for England and Nottingham Forest fans and of course Birmingham
I remember seeing him against Malmö FF against Nottingham Forest in Arvidsjaur, Sweden.. We were so disappointed, but we were in full admiration for a great player...
I remember him as being very naturally talented. He understood the game and was mentally several paces ahead of his opponents. He had the gift of making it look easy.
True gentleman true blue I went to st andrews at 7 years of age I was hooked trevor was my hero along with Bob Hatton thanks for memories trevor you legend k.r.o from inverness blues
Super Boy, when he started his pro career, that’s what the press named him, what a player, him and big Bob Larchford up front, it still sends goosebumps down my spine. The blues had a fantastic team then, very exciting, very attacking, just wonderful to watch. RIP TF

One of the most talented footballers England ever produced. Very underrated because he played for Birmingham.
🙏 Still remembered England international player Trevor Francis! Remembered him the most when he was with Nottingham Forest! 🙏 Thank You So Much Trevor Francis for your dedication & love to promote gentlemanly but solid British football to the World! 🙏 May Helen & Trevor Francis be blessed to a Better World & Realm together ... & be Reunited with Their Loved Ones in a Better Place in due Time & Space ... 🙏🌷🌿🌏⚽️✌💜🕊🇬🇧
I met trevor and helen many times he was a gent did not like the limelight. The hat trick against villa was the best i have seen and i am a villa fan. Proper man RIP
When I was a boy I had Trevor Francis's football card not the sticker but the proper card. I can't remember the other player cards but his a head shot in his Birmingham City kit. It breaks my heart that him and so many players I watched as a child on MOTD & The Big Match have passed away, may they all RIP. ❤
Simply the best of the best ! Not only a fantastic footballer but a lovely man who i was privaliged to speak to on many occasions ! I also met George Best in the Phene arms in Chelsea where George lived nearby , he said that Trevor was up there with the best he had ever seen . RIP Trev and thanks from all Bluenoses KRO
Who knows what he could have achieved if he never had so many injuries I support Nottingham forest and have done so since 1978 I was 12 at the time I was born in London and never got the chance to see Trevor playing I remember in 1980 I was fishing at Walton on Thames I always went fishing on Saturday with my dad and two brothers and always took my radio to listen to Sports watch on LBC or Sport on 2 on radio 2 and remember listening to Trevor scoring twice against Crystal Palace I was ecstatic but my mood changed when he was carried off the pitch with an Achilles Tendon injury that would keep out for nearly a year I was also fishing at Walton on Thames when he made his comeback against Sunderland in a 3-1 victory I was so happy I kicked my tub of maggots in the river Rest In Peace Trevor you are missed 🙏
Sad to hear about his passing. A great player and fun to watch. Bryan Clough brought him to Nottingham Forest and later was sold to Manchester City. He also played for Sampdoria of Italy, Glasgow Rangers and QPR. We were born ten days apart. RIP Trevor.
I remember watching score that header in the European final he was a very classy footballer for his time and another thing i remember he could cross a ball with either foot from any angle and drop it on a toe or someone’s head a true legend of the word they don’t make them like him anymore.
We all have loss & tragedy but you have to deal with it poor health comes with age and then we all sadly die so enjoy life where you can. But these bio’s are always wanting to give a sad story. This man was lucky to play a sport he loved, most people live in the shadows, he had a lovely partner too so it wasn’t all bad.
We're all human beings and some among us manage to go exceptional at what we do and get recognised for it. That isn't why you do it and Trevor was a humble guy from what we know. Up the Trevor Francis 👍🏼
still remember seeing him play for blues (brum) in early 70s, as a teenager, he stood out cuz the rest of the team weren´t great! just like bellingham you knew hed move for big money, which was a lot in 1978, 1st million pound transfer!
RIP Trevor, I met your mother by a swimming pool in Florida, only because i asked her why with a Plymouth accent she was wearing a Sheff Wed Baseball hat? She said because my son is the Manager there 😂 A lovely Lady by the way, and not some swanky hotel, just a run of the mill job 👍🙌
Daft really, but I was once caught in a traffic jam one Saturday morning on Hammersmith bridge , Trevor was in a Hackney cab in front of us and I remember wondering if he made the kick-off ! RIP sir you were some footballer .
Met him after his first game for Nottingham Forest against Exeter City. He parked his Jag on our street. I asked him for his autograph and what a decent bloke, not like Shilton who told us to fxck off, and pushed us aside and got on his coach. Bit of knob tbf. 45 years on and and I still have the thought that Francis was decent and Shilton a knobhead
6:44 I had the privilege of meeting Trevor in Luxembourg whilst he was on England duty in 1977.
What a loverly gracious quite man.
RIP GOD BLESS.
I remember him well at Sheffield Wednesday. He used to come on as a substitute in matches, and he was incredible how he changed the game. Brilliant skilful player. Never forgotten.

Saw him at Molineux playing for Forest. The best individual display i ever saw. Hopefully he is now with his beloved in a better 'world'.

As a Man City fan I was overjoyed when we bought him and disconsolate when we sold him after one season, what a player, very sad loss 🙏

Sad day for English football great man and a great footballer RIP never forgotten
RIP Trevor Francis 🕯🙏🙏
He was the shining light of our era before real greed took over
Yep, thats when I switched off from football completely, when sky TV came out in uk, I realised its just a business not sport, shame really😢
He was the first million pounder?
I watched his debut for Birmingham stood on the Tilton road end , he scored in the game.
Yes legend Trevor Francis - always in memory of even fans in the East like me.
this was sad but trevor was a super footballer rip
RIP Trevor, I met your mother by a swimming pool in Florida, only because i asked her why with a Plymouth accent she was wearing a Sheff Wed Baseball hat? She said because my son is the Manager there 😂 A lovely Lady by the way, and not some swanky hotel, just a run of the mill job 👍🙌

How very sad to hear of Trevor’s end of life
Saw him at Norwich aa1971 good player
On many occasions Trevor would be heard to say, “on many occasions”.
Trev is another example of how England wastes its talent, Francis, Currie, Hoddle, Scholes and now Fodden.
My football fantasy novel (just completed) carries a tribute to Trevor Francis.
Was a dam good footballet very skillful..RiP ...👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
R.I.P. He was a gun player....very sad end to his life.
Can toe nar? Cantona... He was ok at Sheff Wed for a time, but spent millions on average players that ended up being his downfall...
Very odd voice over made it a difficult listen. Eric 'Can tona' had me switching off. Didn't anyone check the video for errors before posting?
He was brilliant for sheffield wednesday
First 1 Million pound transfer !!!
Not quite Brian Clough paid just under
Missing your style of play Trevor,RIP with your soulmate Helen.
As my old dad would say “he was a good un!”
I remember when Clough sacked Trevor at a game of squash - it was brutal
RIP TF.❤😂🎉😂❤.
