The Midnight Masquerade doll is lovely. Gorgeous details and the black and gold colours are perfect. So rich and vibrant, much better than the pale sickly yellow some of the dolls out there seem to have.
The anniversary one is inspired from her concept art. I feel like for the first designer series, they really improved from that. They look refreshing back then.
Belle is my sister's favorite princess. The 30th Belle's dress is based on early concept art, which is a weird choice especially since they've never done that with any other character.
My favorite is the Midnight Magic doll ;) I was about five minutes late, but fortunately you were just getting into the dolls. Great to see you doing these :)

I assume that beehive was meant to evoke French court fashion from the 18th century? (Even though in practice it kind of looks like she has a towel on her head that's made of her actual hair)
Yeah someone else mentioned that and I think you’re totally right. I think it didn’t click for me cause the dress isn’t really reminiscent of that era so instead of the whole doll looking like a reference it just looks weird 🫠

I want to see their ranking of the 90s mattel princesses... I wonder if nostalgia or liking certain princesses over others would sway the execution of the designs
I was going to get the last doll you put I was so close to buying it but I didn’t for the same reasons you said. I just couldn’t with the bottom of the dress I feel like if they had made it bigger and not in that shape I would have but that just couldn’t get past it I really hope Disney will eventually make a belle doll that I REALLY want But most of these are just okay and that disappoints me because I really love belle. :/
Belle isn't my fav Disney Princess but I do love her movies and her outfits. I do agree on some of the stuff your pointed out but I think I would have put the dresses you didn't like up more higher. Yes her having that Beehive was stupid!!
I think Belle is really interesting because it kinda feels that none of her dresses really 100% match what she looks like in the movie and I kinda think it's because they're playing into that French Racoco style with the poofy skirts and the beehive hair style. I think I find her more interesting than good if I'm being honest.
I agree that Belle's ballgown almost never looks great. And I say that as someone who's #1 favourite princess is Belle. She looks better as a doll in basically any of her other dresses. I have a lot of Belle in her Pink gown in my collection. And while I didn't agree with all your rankings, I think your Perfect tier is 100% correct. I really regret not buying that masquerade Belle.
Talking about Disney dolls is always fun, but you do need to be careful to make judgements based on one photo, especially the stock photos from the manufacturer. The Disney Store is pretty terrible with their product photography, and almost all of their dolls are way better in person. Perhaps when preparing for these videos, review multiple photos, including stock photos and IRL photos from social media? As for Belle, the skirt of her ball gown in the film is in fact ruched from waist to hem, creating what you refered to as ruffles. The original 2010 17" LE doll suffers from her skirt being too narrow and the ruching is too tight, but the 2016 deluxe 17" LE doll fixed that by adding two more panels and making the skirt more full. The sash they run around her skirt is usually applied awkwardly.

Bell was my favorite Disney princess as a kid but ever since I met Rapunzel bell kinda got thrown under the bus lol
