i first joined a lobby and asked how to run the track, someone said it was full throttle and i thought they were joking. i completely lifted both corners during entire race and got a 31.4 and qualified 4th, hopefully this knowledge i can go full throttle will really help me out
It's all personal preference but I dont like races where its hard to break the draft because skill matters less and aggression means more meaning more wrecks
It's all about keeping your wheels engaged while you're full throttle, because if they're spinning, it doesn't matter how much throttle is in it. So look for that and maybe your runup as well.
Do you ever do open tips I have a fast car setup for open but towards the mid of the run my car just bogs out and I can’t gain ground at all I just maintain where I’m at then the dude behind will catch but I’ll be faster then him but won’t be able to pass because the second I get around my car gets stupid loose because of the clean air
@@DJYeeJay yeah that’s really the only place I’m comfortable but long run trying to pass the clean air just kills my car normally it’s the other way around
Thanks for these guides! I always forget to change my ratio, etc. in fixed sessions. I wish iRacing would remember our latest changes! How much time do you think you would lose in your qualy with using the default 12:1 ratio? Also, what affect do you think the 12:1 ratio would have in the race, compared to your preferred 16:1. Thank you.
“I’ve been driving for 4 hours, that’s way too much time.” *sets TH-cam lap. I guess you need to do warmups for 4 hours every time.
Been waiting for this. Lost like 200 irating but have gotten 2 top 5s recently
Yeah had to run that race today to figure out a few things!

Seems every time I try to run the low line like that the truck just gets snappy loose about 75% through the corner and kills all my momentum
I’d like to see the whole race. Great tips and vid as always tho!
Thanks man! I don't know if I will ever record full races, maybe I'll stream these attempts eventually
You can see that race thru Gavin Lemons TH-cam channel, I'd be Gavin's perspective though, which is also good. Griffin2448
draft fest intermediate? why is that bad. Im noob

So there's a lot of drafting potential?
And drafting strategy?
Damn! I’m wide open on the bottom, cut through the apron in the tri, and still my best is 31.4.
What the heck!

I haven't tried any c-open unfortunately, maybe if your car is loose try running the top mid run?

Good video. One niggle, ya didn't put in title which track. You do name the track in your guide. Good laps. 👍
Hahaha thanks for telling me! Got to fix it early
@@DJYeeJay no biggie Justin. Saw you in Gavin's race, nice.
