Glenn !! Your ability to explain techniques and tips is outstanding and your money saving mentality to all aspects of the trade is amazing, again thanks to both of you for all your efforts in putting out your content and as others are saying every time I visit one of your videos I learn something new.

These are a great idea and the possibilities are endless regarding shape. I've got a couple of live centres I never use so could make some dedicated ones

Thank you Glenn and Liza, I always learn something new. I love the soft touch. But I have heard so many say you can only do a scrape cut. I am glad you added in the shear cut demo. I have saved this for future reference.

Sheer mastery of the carbide Glenn.
Seems I’ve been expertly sheer scrapping all this time as (I’m going to blame my tools now 😮) my tool rest won’t physically drop down any further!
When it’s fully down my tools are on centre, I can’t drop below dead centre…
I have done as you were showing but my tool riding @10 o/clock; maybe that is still sheer cutting???
The video was cracking - definitely making one of those.
It will protect my elbow as well from that point

    Yet another learning experience.
I was always told to drill and use a tennis ball , now you have said this it explains the slight wobble I believe I was getting.
Will definitely be using Mt GT Chisels to make myself a couple of these.
    Thanks Fella.
Ps hello to Lisa and the dogs
Pps would it be possible to see the wedding ring box in its fully finished look.
    Thanks Ade
