I think part of the privilege of watching you react to these fight scenes is not only the technical commentary but just the genuine, gasping-wincing horror of understanding how painful and damaging some of these techniques would be to an unfortunate person's limbs or entire body.

Nice to see someone with some martial arts training react to this. Granted there are a few moves that are for style/hollywood.. but a lot of these moves are very realistic and impressive. I love the roundhouse counters to wrap the leg into a takedown and the using the bend of the leg to trap a leg and bring them to the ground.. even the kneel to the foot to pin it and pushing on the knee as a takedown.. quite a few unique takedowns that I've not seen much of.

those whole series of scenes is incredible, one of my favourites of all time easily. The run up the stairs, that, then the giant and lady fight..... feels so much like one of the old double dragon/streets of rage video games working your way through to the bosses. Do them all together because breaking them up loses so much of the emotion and passion.

Very certain it took days, rehearsals, rests, body condition and skills, wheel kicks are pretty esp. when the artist has gymnastic skill and flexibility, very exceptional, recall seeing arm breaks of two individuals simultaneously decades ago in a branch of TKD. The Thai called this style "bo-rahn" (ancient). Your reaction is genuine (to me). Thank you.

I love Tony Jaa, but...stabbed in the abdomen, very, very active fight, ended a move with Tony full-body face down on the floor. His shirt has no blood, and there was no bloodstain on the floor. Sigh. Just a few tablespoons of movie blood would have kept selling the stab wound.

Here's my thoughts on the mind set of the last group of henchmen to come in...you see all these other guys lying on the floor...you're thinking...."okay...after all that he's probably pretty tired...I'll let a few of these other guys go first to wear him down a little more then...bam...his ass is mine." Mind you that last thought was immediately followed by a scream of extreme pain as some body part or another was either broken, wrenched from its socket or used as a lever swing said henchman around in a full360 arc before being rendered useless for the next several months.
