Oh man, the Amiga takes me back! I managed to get a hand-me-down system and a big stack of bootleg games from an uncle back when I was a wee runt, the sound of the disk drive was burned into my memory. I wish I was smart enough to figure out those amiga emulators...
Never had one growing up (PC kid) but I've always admired the games. I love the A500 mini and being able to load all the games but I'm kinda disappointed that they seem to have stopped supporting the machine as only one firmware update was released around launch and norlthing since then.
@@Forever8Bit Doubtful. They updated the firmware for the C64 mini every couple of months but only once at launch fir the A500 mini and not all games work correctly when loaded.
I loved my Amiga to death. Though, there were alot of games that I mostly booted up to listen to the soundtrack. I must have spent more time in the intro screen on Lotus than in the actual game... Great list, though I guess it's impossible to make a list that would include everybodys favorite games.. I loved Lost Patrol and Monkey Island and Frontier Elite II
The music was incredible, wasn't it? Frontier Elite II is a beautiful game and a joy to listen to. It almost made the list. I think if the video had been about any Amiga with acceleration it would have been a must-have on the list. It's a gem.
@@Forever8Bit sure is. I had a lot of licenced games and arcade conversions. Let me see: Transformers: The Battle for Earth G.I. Joe Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom Roadrunner Robocop Double Dragon Alf Alien The Incredible Hulk (text adventure) Trying to remember if I had anything else. I remember I was so excited to get my 1541 II disk drive so I could play disk games.
Hello you. We Americans love the Amiga as well, it's just that they were kinda expensive computers and it was much cheaper gaming wise to get a console (but I sure did want a Amiga those graphics are gorgeous).
@@Forever8Bit Sweet, most of my friends had A500s back at school, I had an A600, but it's a criminally overlooked system. Do you own any other Amiga's? I bet you have a CD32 :D
Here's another great 80s computer famous for great games: ➡ th-cam.com/video/WAPiIqXvibg/w-d-xo.html
Best time of my life. There is an incredible amount of games to be loved.
Agreed! I will always have a place in my heart, and in my life, for this amazing machine.
YES!!!! So glad you are covering the A500! You keep rocking!
Thank you! I sure will. Glad you enjoyed the video! :)

Awesome! That's a great memory to have. Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Strange. I didn't know about the lack of firmware updates. Maybe it's just perfect as it is. 🤣

At least they have some custom firmware for the A500 mini.

Ooohh the Amiga. I was always a little jealous of those who had one. I just had a Commodore 64.
The 64 has a goldmine full of great games for it! That's a great system to have enjoyed.

Quite nice for an American channel to praise the Amiga for once :)

Thank you! I love it and always will. So many great games and memories of playing them with friends. Fortunately, I still have both. :)

Yes!
You're kinda like the "Gomer Pyle" of retro gaming. 🤔
Well, gollee Sarge, don't make me clean the latrine again. 🤣
Is there a silly soccer game?
I like the content but too much talking and I change the channel
Fair enough.
Amiga is overrated compared to the Sharp X68000.
If you need to be given reasons why the Amiga 500 is awesome...................
SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG WITH YOU
What he said. :)
