I think have I watched this at least 100 times. I LOVE THIS arrangement!!! Rossana and Federico swap the groove; the chord voicings are funky, sexy, punchy and tasty and the final outro chords are absolutely gorgeous in their development and progression against the melody. Great vocal tone and phrasing! She can belt it out and reel it in with quiet dynamics. Wonderful!! I would love to hear the two of them do more!!! Great performance chemistry, syncopation and synergy. This I think is a superb example of where players create a new composition as opposed to covering an original - Heaven! Most of this arrangement you could play on a four string too.
Malaman is a true bass titan, who has continually blown me away and inspired me immensely over the years. But, I had to throw some well deserved love to the singer.
It's nice to have independence between your thumb and your fingers. Thumb is playing Bass fingers playing chords at the same time. MR Malaman your right hand is a master of technique!!!
