Man, I honestly thought dudes were gonna die a fiery death after that last lap destruction. Also it's always interesting to me how towards the end all the drivers bail on the inside lane opting for the outside, as you give up distance you end up getting out of the turn faster into the straightaway, which is not always the case earlier
I had stopped watching NASCAR for a few years and then started Radioactive on TH-cam and have gotten back into it this season. It was well after Midnight here when the race finally finished.
Watched the end live it was insane mcdowell just barely gave brad a push then brad hit logano tryna block then they got spun then mcdowell went on to win
Dude Loganos late block on Brad is what caused the wreck, McDowell and Brad had the run and logano came down when brad was already past his bumper, go watch it in slow motion

Welcome to NASCAR, mate. Logano is one of the rawest, most talented drivers in the series.. but he is very aggressive.. and a lot of people dislike this.. but if you aint tryin'.. you aint winnin'. Yeah.. it sucks.. but it is.. what it is. I'm a huge Joey fan. But it's 2 turns to go for the biggest race in NASCAR... if we're reversed... Brad Probably throws a block, too... and it's the other way around. Let's not get crazy, here, LOL. And btw, BOTH, Logano, 2018, and Brad, 2012, have won championships.. it's not like they're new to this. Logano was the youngest driver in history to win a race.. I think just over 19 years old. Circle Talledega on your calendar. WATCH IT. Talledega is the only track they race on that's bigger, and faster than Daytona. While this is still the crown jewl, most of the drivers consider Talledega just as prestigious. They asked Roger Penske after this, had he talked to Brad or Joey? He basically said... "We're all going to meet.. all of us.. the entire Ford family, and talk before Talledega". That's how serious they take these ones. Also.. the Bristol dirt race is going to be insane at the end of this month. Watch that. Vegas will be very good this Sunday, as well. Joey won this race last year in the spring, Kurt Busch in the PO's.
It would be interesting if he ever announced which one. I dounbt he would say it was his teammate but he did block him to try and win (and from my eye it the block what caused the crash) while he must of been happy with mcdowel pushing him to get him the lead? I may be way off but thats my guess
Fyi they didn’t do qualifying for the road course race they have a preset formula that determines starting spots which is partially based on the finish from the last race as well as championship points.
No three-peat but Daytona road course is next and he finished second there last year and after that is Homestead were he won last year he is tied for most wins at three with Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle.
Logono was in a lose-lose situation if you block brad with the run he had your gonna crash if you let him go you lose the 500 like I said it's a lose-lose

2018 Dayton 500 the 3 Went back to Daytona 500 Victory Lane Which Marked 20 Years Since Dale Earnhardt sr went on to win the race in 1998 in the 3
