Garrulous64 Could you possibly be able to re-write the villains in 06, it sounds like a challenge but they had cool ideas but just weren’t used right because, you know, Sonic 06
@@e.ggrollg.uacamole4156 Agreed, after that he can do Shadow the Hedgehog. If he manages to succeed in improving them both, then he deserves a Nobel prize in Literature!
I actually really like this script. You could really see Zavok, a calm and manipulative leader turn into a bloodthirsty monster, slowly pushing away his own family.
My thoughts exactly. I would totally try to mod this story in if I had the knowledge, 3D animation skill, and voice acting skill to do so. (Though I could probably do okay Sonic and Zavok voices, but idk about the other characters)
Also, one thing I really do like about this script is that it gives Zavok a _reason_ to be a recurring villain in the first place. In his eyes, Sonic cost him *everything* he had, and he is just itching to finally get his revenge.
Jaden Merced at first, he just thinks of Sonic as an easy target, but he goes to extreme measures just to prove he isn’t able to be beaten by a hedgehog.
God I love this plot waayyyy better than then original. Feels more like a real story with arcs compared to some cutscenes loosely connecting levels that shows a hint of that. Zavok is such a cooler villain in this too, it feels like it’s been pretty rare to have a villain with this much character detail in most of the sonic games.
You actually made the ending have a bit of emotional impact. Zavok, not valuing the family that was around him, ended up destroying it and having less than the nothing he thought he had.
I loved this. These characters actually feel like they have _purpose,_ which they were sorely lacking before. Zavok really should have beenthe final boss considering how little impact Eggman had on the conflict.
(SORRY BEFORE HAND THIS WAS ALL DONE ON MY PHONE SO IT WILL HAVE MISTAKES SORRY) In my opinion infinite needs to be complety rewritten as a character so this might be fanficish but who cares The real Phantom Ruby need to change, have it overwrite reality not just illusions, but still keep the idea that people created from it when not at full power do not have heart or soul, but creations at full power do have both heart ans soul plus they can feel love joy ect (this will tie in with the new back story) I forgot that the phantom ruby copys do not exist in the world at all. We can be show this by after beating him after a fight we damage his mask but though a lot of stress and power it is fixed and is still fixed even when He is standing in front of sonic without any glow from the Ruby So infinite's backstory is terrible he need a proper goal and emotions so here we go lets start with his reason for helping Eggman, he does not like to help Eggman but he helps in order to collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds the reason for this is simple. he lost his family to a shockwave (sonic's sonic boom) so he will help Eggy in order to later use the Phantom Ruby at full power with the Emeraleds for that with all 7 he no longer need Eggman to power the Ruby. With the Emeralds and the Ruby he cane recreate his family (or ANYTHING else) for that his only goal is to be with his love ones and undo all the damage caused by Eggman and himself He wears the mask with the voice changer because it is a mask he is using it to hid his face so that no one will reconiz him after his goal is done and goes to live with his family in a normal home Now let me talk about when sonic tell Infinite when and wear he first when sonic boom mach 1.1 he snaps and loses it almost to the brink of insanity he is quite until you hear laughter first near silent than louder and louder until everyone is forzen in fear even Sonic. infinite than looks up to sonic and with out even moving flouts up and back and state "The hero will not kill the Villion who has cauesd millions of death alone The hero losses nothing not even a single friend or smile The hero born with with near endless power The hero without care or worry Yet will cause so much pain and destruction all in the name of freedom" BUT I the "bad guy" Who sacrifed everything Losses it all my home my soul my heart Born without gifts in a wasteland Fought the entire world and won For the smallest scrap of hope to right not only my wrong but everyone wrongs even yours For peace without pain or suffering For than everyone will have hope joy For my love my family MY WIFE MY DAUGHTER Where were you for them?"
"I may not need anyone's help to stop you, but I wasn't about to forego the pleasure of seeing that broken look on your face when you realize what I did to your friend. I don't even care if he puts up a fight for you. I'll take pleasure in watching you have to go through him to get to me." Oh for god sake someone please hire this dude... I can't believe how good that line is!

@@Garrulous64 I'd love to see you do the same thing with Forces, and make Infinite have a much larger role, and not be so... well... weak. And again. I like Infinite lol
I always thought the The Deadly Six was representing the Seven Deadly Sins. Zavok (Wrath)- The most aggressive and hotheaded of the group. Tends to be the most confrontational and easiest to anger. Zomom (Gluttony)- The slowest and fattest of the group. Constantly associating others to food. Zazz (Envy And Greed)- Being typically the weakest he has a hunger for power and is constantly tired of being looked down on. Zeena (Lust)- Being the only girl, she typically seen as the prettiest of the group and she uses her looks to her advantage by manipulating others. Zor (Sloth)- He’s the most pessimistic of the group and doesn’t want to do work knowing that his work usually goes to waste. Zik (Pride)- The original founder of Zeti and typically the calmest. He’s holds the honor of Zeti above all else and is usually the glue keeping the team together.
I liked this a lot cause it didn't seem desperate to add more depth to Zavok, you were just concerned with giving the right amount that would elevate the story. Now why is it so hard for Sega to do the same? :D
I like how you changed the moral from a really unclear “Listen To Your Friends because Occasionally They Know What They’re Talking About” into a very clear “Take Care of those you Care About” (I only found the first moral of the story after a month or so of staring off into space during my free time. That’s how unclear it was. I still don’t know for certain that’s what I was intended to take away from that storyline.)
I loved how you improved the Deadly Six and Zavok himself! It gives the group purpose and their own individual personalities outside of their cookie cutter personalities; not only that, it shows how much of a threat Zavok would be if more thought was put into the Deadly Six. I would prefer Lost World to be like this but the end result is the end result. I would love for you to tackle Infinite and link his inferiority complex to his lust for power. Great video all around!
I’m mad now, how did Sega not come up with this?? You made me actually like the concept of these characters, and gave them some depth and purpose in the game
Plus having Zavok as the first boss also displays how much of an impact the machine would have, since it goes from the tough leader of the group unceremoniously being taken out to becoming final boss material
I have news, this version of Zavok you made is actually being proposed for the Pure Evil wiki which I honestly find to be a massive accomplishment, it means that your fan made content was good enough to be seen as worth putting on an official wiki platform, and who knows, maybe Mephiles, Eggman, and Infinite are the next characters that you modified that will get a turn And your Mephiles was also approved as Pure Evil.
I think I got a few ideas -make infinite have a family that he just can’t remember due to eggmans brainwashing -Actually show sonic being tortured and make his character more serious (he’d still crack jokes) -ORIGINAL LEVELS THAT ARENT GREEN HILL OR CHEMICAL PLANT -Make classic sonic a and tails come back, so classic sonic could have dialogue and basically be a fill-in of standard sonic -Make eggmans metropolitan base a ruse, and give him a giant base in the null zone where we find out more about eggmans plans (something fucked up, considering the rest of the tones I’ve got going on) -Make chaos come back and maybe other characters for villains (fang is re-introduced into cannon maybe?)
@@bedazzlebub967 Eggman brainwashing Infinite removes one of the best things about him. He is the only non robotic thing that willing serves Eggman in game canon and he does this because he was already messed up to begin with.
@@bedazzlebub967 More like actually make sonic being tortured actually happen since it was just something added in the english version for some reason.
I didn't like the conflict between Tails and Sonic myself, it felt forced to me. But I could forgive it if the Deadly Six were written this way. I was especially annoyed with Zeena's character -- or lack thereof (seriously, I thought in this century of strong female characters that we were past this trope). I like that while you didn't detract too much from their original personalities, you still underscored them with personal motivations and defined where they all fit as a group. You also found ways to push them to their limits, especially Zavok, to truly test how far they would go in their goal for world destruction. I feel like the conflict between Sonic and Tails as it was could work if Tails did actually fight Sonic a little at the end, at least until Sonic apologized to his face for being too impulsive and reckless. Great job on the rewrite, dude! You're the reason why Sega should hire the fans to write their games!
This is legitimately impressive man! Talk about putting money where your mouth is regarding character development. Seems like Sega could have benefitted with you in the writing room. More content like this, please!
The story you came up with is so much better than the stories of any of the last 4 Modern Sonic games. Like, if the stories were more like this, I probably wouldn't have as much problem with the current writing staff.
@@sonicrunn3r895 well that's cause unleashed story wasn't written by pontac and graff lmao 😂. I will agree saying it has a good story though, definitely one of the most consistent sonic stories with little plot holes.
This was an excellent rewrite of the Deadly Six, I love that Zavok has more of a presence and how he's way more of a threat than he was before, if Zavok was like this I wouldn't even mind if he popped up as side or main villain in future games.
I love the idea that Zavok accompanied the boss fights because he doesn't trust any of them to do it right except for Zik where he joined in to protect him. A 3 dimensional character can really make or break a few and the changes you made to lost world here would have made the game incredibly fun and more interesting. They should hire you or even fans to help create the stories for modern sonic games.
IF ONLY THE STORY WAS THIS GOOD! Wonderful job rewriting it, dude! Makes me really wish Lost World was like this. The whole tense moment between Zavok and Zick made me think of that one scene between Shifu and Tai Lung, haha! Your rewrites are always more interesting~
I think what I would change about the Sonic, Tails, and Eggman cutscenes is have Tails not come across as whiny. Like have Sonic and Tails acknowledge that they've worked with Eggman in the past, but also be a bit weary of him as well since he can be a bit unpredictable at times.
Woah, I saw a Sonic Forces Re-write video a while ago, and I thought it was gonna be that same guy (despite this one actually being in my sub feed ;oP) I was pleasantly surprised, since your voice is a whole heckuva lot more enjoyable to listen to for longer amounts of time
As one of the few people who genuinely liked the Deadly Six, especially Zavok, I must say thank you. You gave them the writing they needed to flesh them out more. Someone needs to write a fanfiction off of this.
Now this is how you write a Sonic storyline! Well done! Think you could do the same with Sonic Forces and Infinite? I just want that damn Phantom Ruby to warp reality instead of making “real illusions” as Tails describes it as. I know Forces is a fan service-y mess so if it’s too much, I’d just focus on Infinite, but yeah I’d like to hear your thoughts
I like that his power is illusions. It fits considering he's actually just a bully that uses a power that isn't his to compensate for not being able to beat Shadow.
Robert Wimms Infinite’s only motivation is the world was dead, and he’s such a baby he had a tantrum about being insulted by Shadow just calling him weak.
Haven't even finished watching the video, and yet the character personalities you described are more memorable than the ones in the actual game lol. Keep up the good work.
Gosh dang man, you really did fix the six. Loved your ideas. Only thing I’d change is towards the end. I think an actual fight with Tails would really up the ante. The fight could end with Sonic successfully snapping Tails out of it, and the story proceeds as normal.
Thanks man! Yeah I didn't want to mess around with that too much since I already shook up the bosses, but it was also because I wanted to give Zavok that extra little "you failed AGAIN" push right when he clearly didn't need anything else to be angry about.
I agree! Better, after the fight, Zavok would tell Tails to destroy Sonic after overpowering him, and then he does the big "Never!", and shoots back at him. This would then be the final straw for Zavok, pushing his insanity from 100% to 110%!
You know, you really gave it that nice slightly dark feel that early Modern Sonic games had. You even had it to where Eggman once again puts aside his hatred of Sonic to show his slight good side. Overall a nice change to the story and the Deadly Six, that has actual character development!
YOOOO I love the deadly six, listening to your version this story got me so excited lol, I love it! It's so much better than what we got in the game ahaha
They should all come from different timelines where they won. Shadow from the Dark Story finale of Sonic Adventure 2 or even Shadow The Hedgehog, Metal Sonic from the Bad Future of Sonic CD, where he did beat Sonic in the race, Zavok from a bad ending of Lost World, and Chaos before the events of Sonic Adventure, in the period of time related to Pacahamac and Tikal, making sure that Tikal herself couldn't get in the way, somehow.
I'm not a Sonic fan and the only Sonic game that I've played (properly) is Generations, but I saw this video in my recommended and decided to give it watch and I have to say... this is very well done! I'm not a fan of ensemble villains since they usually tend to be one-note and have gimmicks rather than personalities but you really managed to take a rather generic villain group and fleshed (most of) them out. Zavok and Zik especially feel like actual characters now, and I really like how you made Zik consider the group his family and feel disheartened by Zavok's actions. He may be evil, but by making him care about the others it really makes him have so much more dimension, instead of being a simple "wise master" stereotype. It makes him more compelling. You've shown here just how easy it is to give a character even the slightest of depth, and yet giving characters any real substance seems to be the beyond the capabilities of many game devs these days.
Sega, let this man cook! This honestly a great rewrite, you can see the relationship with Zavok and the rest of the zeti slowly deteriorate overtime, going further downhill after Master Zik's defeat. Here are some ideas I had for the other zeti, as the story goes on: - During the cutscenes before Sky Road, Zazz is growing more and more impatient. He was supposed to fight Sonic, but Zavok got in the way. He feels jealous of the others, who all get a lucky shot at Sonic, while he's been cast aside and forced to wait until he was literally the last one. During the boss rush, Zazz might immediately throw a wrench into his boss' plans by rushing in to kill Sonic. Despite not seeming to have a unique power like the others, he fights very aggressively, charging at Sonic while blowing up the terrain with his mech. - For Zomom, I was thinking of highlighting "Mama's right, I'm a failure" as for why he personally would leave with the others. During some cutscenes, Zomom actually provides some interesting information to Zavok and Master Zik, showing he's smarter than he lets on. For example, he warns Zik of Sonic using the wisps to traverse Lost Hex or even how he targets the animal capsules. While Zik does listen to his information and uses this for things such as the trap that let them kidnap Tails, Zavok just kind of shrugs it off, thinking Zomom is too incompetent to come up with something with good execution. So it hurts more when Zavok is calling them useless, because Zomom actually bickers with him. Because he actually offered his own two sense (on actual observations) and Zavok shut him down in an instant. - Zeena is quite envious of her boss and tends to keep trying to show herself as a competent strategist. She figures she can command the other zeti, since she tends to use them for her own schemes (Ex: The snowman mech that Zomom helped with) Over the course of the game, she notes how he keeps Zazz off the battlefield, using literally everyone else, including her. Zeena can tell that Sonic's string of victories is getting to Zavok and exposing his flaws as a leader. Just because he's struggling against a being from the world below, it doesn't mean they're all incompetent idiots who can't follow the simplest of tasks. When the plan to capture Sonic fails, Zeena suggests to Master Zik that they use Tails as a weapon agaisnt Sonic. And after Zavok tries to attack them with a fireball, she's made up her mind. Seeing how Zavok has devolved into a bloodthirsty maniac and how even Zazz tries to reason with him, she now has second thoughts about being the next leader.. At least, she can learn from Zavok's failures. - After being left for dead by Zavok, Zor is absolutely fuming. In his eyes, he was being hindered by his "almighty leader" during his boss fights, while being seen as "not pulling his own weight". While Zor couldn't care less about Sonic's world slowly dying, he notes that they now have the same goal: To take down Zavok, either out of revenge or saving others. So, during the journey through Sky Road and Lava Mountain, I can imagine Sonic might find shadows that he can homing attack to get to certain areas. Near the end of the story, it's revealed Zor had used these clones to help Sonic in order to get back at Zavok. Zor doesn't expect the others to forgive him for backstabbing Zavok, but the other zeti are sympathetic towards him. Now knowing that Zavok left him for dead highlighted how far he had gone, even before they left. - I would imagine that once Zavok decides to drain even Lost Hex of its life, if it means he can defeat Sonic, the zeti decide to fight Zavok. During each phase of the fight, each zeti helps Sonic attack Zavok in his mad frenzy. And yes, Zazz has his moment to shine by getting to bombard his former boss with attacks, lol. Even he has a limit.
I'd've added a part where you fight Tails because he really wants Zavok to believe that the Roboticization worked. At the end, Tails overpowers Sonic and is given orders to destroy him. This is when he shouts "NEVER!" and blasts him.
I REALLY love what you did here, but if you ever do it again may I suggest doing it a bit... slower? You were talking so quick at points it got a little har to keep up.
I'll keep that in mind, though I've come to enjoy the quick delivery. I feel like it might just be kind of my style. Are there any specific parts you can point out that you had that problem with? I'll look into making it easier to understand for next time.
Wow, honestly you did an amazing job. I especially liked how you wrote Zazz and the interactions between Zavok and Zick. Man, I wish the Zavok we got was as developed as your version.
i love how you just build off their genereic prosperity or trope and add depth to it. It could be a good advice for writing characters, starting with very generic or general traits and build from there.
I feel like Tails still needs work... The fact that he was never brainwashed always felt like so much of a cop-out. However, your additions to the story revolving that plot point make it work a whole lot better. Your changes with the final stretch and ending were the parts I liked the most. Zavok going completely insane, and Zazz, the craziest of all the Zeti, turning away from him... That was pretty good. I also enjoy how you removed the eggman final boss. It made no sense for him to survive and then immediately just turn his back on Sonic and fight him. Despite Zavok taking the spotlight in your version, it actually really helps characterize the other Zeti, and I especially love what you did with them.
Da Nintendude A guy named MeltingMan made an alternate ending to Lost World where Tails is an actual boss and Eggman helps remove the roboticized parts in the end.
@@Garrulous64 It makes me wonder... how did Eggman come back? Shouldn't he have stayed in the realm with no time, as of generations' post-credit scene?
To be honest you've made the whole story better, and outs a bit more story behind the antagonists (and definitely the main antagonist). It's really cool
I love this, I'm one of the few people who actually like the six, it's more design wise and I do wish that they were written better, it's nice seeing the six actually having a good written story and giving characters a reason to act the way they do, like Zor being depressed all the time
This rewrite makes a lot more sense. It probably would've saved the game if it was that good! -or not- Mind if I use elements of this rewrite in a comic adaptation of the canon I'm working on? I'll be absolutely sure to give credit!
You sir, have a bright future in story telling! I really wanted to like the six, but aside from dialogue that made me laugh from time to time, they were so one note. You made these characters likable for me again! Sega needs to take notes from people like you!
The real deadly six 1. T-series 2.fortnite 3.Big chungus 4.people who stretch there videos to 10 minuets for more money 5.TH-cam rewind 6.Demonitisation
Small headcannon: If all 7 Chaos Emeralds are collected before the final boss a slightly different cutscene will play leading into a slightly different final boss: Instead of the boss battle beginning as Zavok yells his final threat like it was implied, the camera cuts to Sonic who runs up to the now fairly massive Zavok to try and attack but Zavok let's out a flurry of fireballs out towards Sonic which forces the hedgehog to stop in order to evade them. Sonic looks up in the nick of time to see Zavok's massive fist brings itself down on top of him and appear to crush him, the camera cuts to Tails as he screams out a "NO!" as Zavok laughs maniacally in the background, it cuts back to Zavok who lifts his hand back up, with a large amount of dust kicked up from the impact preventing Sonic from being seen, he remarks on how "he expected a bit more a challenge from Sonic" as he reaches his full, massive size... "Hey! Big, Red, and Ugly!" Zavok turns around to see Sonic floating behind him, the 7 Emeralds orbiting around him. The Emeralds begin to orbit faster and are absorbed by Sonic, transforming him into the iconic, golden form of Super Sonic, The Zeti roars at the top of his lungs: "You think this new form will stop me?! I will crush you pathetic ant into powder!" Super Sonic dashes forward, the culminating shot of the cutscene being a close up shot of his eyes: red and determined. I don't have any good ideas for how the boss fight could be made harder to compensate for Super Sonic's invincibility but I do have 2 ideas for just general additions: 1 simple and the other more extra: the simple one being that the "Dr. Eggman Showdown" theme from Lost World's OG final boss could be recycled here: Now renamed to the "Mad Zeti Showdown" the other... If you run out of rings during the boss you'll revert back to normal Sonic and the camera will fade to black, when the camera fades back in you'll have been brought to a new area, more akin to a standard level, and are tasked with collecting 50 rings while running away from the massive Zavok behind you. If you collect 50 rings you'll turn back to Super Sonic and will be brought back to the normal arena with the fight continuing exactly where it left off.
You know what would be an interesting in this? If instead of the Zeti ditching Zavok and there being no boss rush, there’s a certain item that could be used to really show how far gone Zavok is. The Magic Conch horn! His subordinates are all about to up and leave, but then he says, “So this is it, time for my last resort” and pulls out the magic conch. That’d be kind of deep, to say that like he’s become like eggman that only used the Zeti to get revenge on sonic. Zavok after his final fight with sonic could finally see how far he’s fallen right when eggman betrays sonic.
This is actually a really good script, it allows the characters to have a meaning in the game, especially Zavok since you don't get to know much about him during the game and cutscenes. I was hoping to know more about Zavok when I had first started playing the game, so I totally agree with your thinking!
This is so much better than the original story! I love how all of the Deadly Six feel like characters, partly because I'm a personal fan of villainous teams that care about each other, at least to an extent. I also really like how Eggman isn't the secret final villain, which was a dumb twist that ruins the interactions that the heroes had earlier.
This video is SO GOOD. The ideas shown in this videos are very original and are a good take on the story. I guess Mania mods have actually been holding you back huh. One thing though: was it intentional that you didn’t talk about the random disappearance of Tails’ robot suit? It was one of the weirdest thing in the entire game so I thought you would change it. Also also can you do Sonic Forces next? I’ve been thinking of some ways to remake the story and I think you would have some great ideas too!
I didn't really think of the robot thing. If I actually had the ability to make new visual content for this, I would have left the enhancements on him until the credits rolled. He'd be back to normal in the next game of course.
If there's one thing I'd add it would be an actual boss fight with tails to make all that build-up not feel wasted, they could either play it straight where you hit him in his gizmos and that snaps him out of it or they could do something emotional like Sonic refuses to attack Tails and all you can is dodge for awhile until he snaps out of it on his own cause he doesn't wanna hurt Sonic, it would also Parallel what happened with Zavoc, Zavoc belittled and struck his family for the lightest of reasons, but even with potential death and the end of the world on the line Sonic would not strike Tails, something something friendship speeches... Really though I thoroughly enjoyed this, if Sega was still willing to be ambitious with their Sonic games then maybe we would've gotten a Deadly Six more like how you described, ah well, assuming they don't show up in any more mainline games I'm just gonna run with this interpretation as Cannon :p
This was incredible. I may not have the same level of disdain for Lost world or the Deadly Six like seemingly most do, but both help bring up a huge sense of frustration at what more could have been done. Your rewrite sounds great and bit more thought out than the actual product. There are some salvageable parts of Lost World and I really appreciate you not entirely scrapping those elements. I myself had my own ideas on what could have been improved upon and it differs vastly from yours, though instead of Zavok and Zazz being the only remaining Zeti near the end, it was Zavok and Zor. It still had a sense of inner group turmoil, however, I enjoy the way you went about. I like how Zavok is a greater presence, but the other members still get a little bit more to them. I had in mind actually of leaning into the Deadly Six's characters traits and using them to reflect in the levels. One of the complaints of I've seen for Lost World is that the level themes weren't very creative. I would still keep the base themes as they are and boss order, and add some more personal touches. For instances, since Zazz is the wild and crazy punk, he would like to spray paint. The once pristine Windy Hills progressively gets a covered in graffiti, as well as the sheep, which I actually want to touch on the animal's role a bit more later. Speakers and artificial lights are put up everywhere and turn on in the act that goes from sunset to night. Zazz's boss fights still has the mechanical moon, but it launches sound waves, perhaps in place of the stars and sprays paint to obstruct Sonic from getting to Zazz. In the Desert Ruins, there would be a whole section of desert that is actually a desert full of desserts made by these Egyptian like bee inhabitants. Candy cane obelisks, pixie stix sugar like sand, gummy bear palm trees around a soda filled oasis. Though since this is Zomom's domain little touches like chunks being bitten off would littler the level. Each level you see the bees gathering what seems to be honey and carrying towards a giant cake pyramid. They are largely a background detail until you come across Zomom, but other small details like hieroglyphics of the bees detailing Zomom's takeover are on the inside of the pyramid, but is a neat detail for those who take a moment to stop and look. His first boss fights works as it did in the original game, but the face thing Zomom uses appears later in the Act 4, stuck inside a giant vault with globs of honey pouring in. This vault takes place in a giant cake pyramid and is seen at the end of Act 3 and where Act 4 is located. The honey could act as an obstacle for Sonic as he can get stuck like in the cave levels, but also used to distract Zomom, opening an opprotunity to attack. There would be more things like this, such as background details of penguins pushing ice blocks and work in the Frozen Factory. That ice being used to erect a ice statue of Zeena in a frozen over casino. It reflects her vanity. Zik's islands would have small wooden huts everywhere and since Master Zik is the mentor of Zavok, him having fruits and in particular apples, as weapons would tie to the whole visual of teachers having apples on there desks an the like. Zor would have replaced a lot of the jungle relics and replaced them with more gothic architecture and statues. The ones he didn't bother with are covered in vines and other foliage. Lava Moutain could see claw marks all over and wore down, as at that point Zavok is fed up and his anger is getting the best of him. So much more I could write on that and I really didn't mean to take away from the great job this video did in fleshing out Lost World just a bit more. And that's the thing, Lost World didn't need heaps of complex character depth and lore, but something to give you a well rounded cast of new characters and an interesting new locale. The Zeti could have been a group that took the population of animals already on Lost Hex and instead of the flickys, pockys and rockys, what could have powered Dr. Eggman's Badniks were the new animal buddys and original inhabitants being sheep, bees, penguins, owls or what have you. It gives Lost Hex a tad bit more, but nothing that is too in your face. The Zeti show they are a menace by the levels communicating that to you and now they want to destroy Earth (or Sonic's world? Idk). Some ideas I've had since this game came out and this video helped me think about them a bit more despite it not being as articulate or fully formed as this video does.
overall, quite good but here's ideas for personalities for Zeti expanded even more. Zomon: he looks and sounds dumb, but he's actually very smart. Origin of idea: first of all, he outsmarted Sonic's "word" of advice (those WERE 3 words) and second of all, why not. Zeena: she would talk stuff like wondering if Eggman, as a Human, tastes good, or should she pick Sonic or Tails for her new scarf. she would also be implied to feel something for Zavok until Zavok is gone from being himself. Origin: literally none. Zor: you've expanded him enough, but i would add that he actually sees purpose in honest life instead of Deadly Six member, and if he survived, he would help Sonic. Origin: none but he is Most forgettable so making him into an Ally later would maybe make him more memorable. Zik: you've expanded him enough, but maybe he would look for new students after Zavok's lost. Zazz: add signs of him being professional psychopath and make him stronger then he looks and it's enough. Zavok: you've expanded him enough.
This is very solid, you did a great job trying to give an appropriate amount of depth to the Zeti and their dynamics with each other. Zavoc still doesn't work for me here, he really needs more compelling motivation than "Sonic drives me bat-shit", but again, you've done far more than Sonic Team did. All in all, good video! I love thinking about how to rewrite stories, so I'm glad to see people doing that on TH-cam.
This is great! I loved the “let’s fix Zavok” video, and I love to see my favorite Garrulous friend making great video’s like this! I still hope you continue with your gaming video’s, but I’m pretty sure that’s the case.
I like how you foreshadowed a lot of it. Nothing was left to be pulled out of nowhere and I really like that. I especially like the build-up and the motivation.
If you do one on Infinite, I’d have something in there about him being insecure about his mask, and Sonic knocking it off before or during their final showdown, showing how Sonic is finally getting to him.
Holy shit this is so much better than the original! I loved the emotion that you gave to the zeti's it made them feel more alive. I really liked how you made it to where the Zeti's really didn't like Zavok and where Zazz has a part of him that's sane. If only you wrote Sonic games 😭
I genuinely loved Sonic Lost World but this is so much better. You did a great job. The only thing I would've changed would be to perhaps give Zor a little more screentime after his defeat, for example him being saved by the other Zeti in the ending sequence.

@@Fighter_Builder plus he realisticly survived to return in team sonic racing.in lost world,he kinda disappeared,so i guess we can call him dead lol

That’s probably because eggmans the villain in most games. So there’s not as much chance for a villain to have a good character
Frfr
You actually made the ending have a bit of emotional impact. Zavok, not valuing the family that was around him, ended up destroying it and having less than the nothing he thought he had.
I loved this. These characters actually feel like they have _purpose,_ which they were sorely lacking before.
Zavok really should have beenthe final boss considering how little impact Eggman had on the conflict.
(SORRY BEFORE HAND THIS WAS ALL DONE ON MY PHONE SO IT WILL HAVE MISTAKES SORRY)
In my opinion infinite needs to be complety rewritten as a character so this might be fanficish but who cares
The real Phantom Ruby need to change, have it overwrite reality not just illusions, but still keep the idea that people created from it when not at full power do not have heart or soul, but creations at full power do have both heart ans soul plus they can feel love joy ect (this will tie in with the new back story) I forgot that the phantom ruby copys do not exist in the world at all.
We can be show this by after beating him after a fight we damage his mask but though a lot of stress and power it is fixed and is still fixed even when He is standing in front of sonic without any glow from the Ruby
So infinite's backstory is terrible he need a proper goal and emotions so here we go
lets start with his reason for helping Eggman, he does not like to help Eggman but he helps in order to collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds the reason for this is simple. he lost his family to a shockwave (sonic's sonic boom) so he will help Eggy in order to later use the Phantom Ruby at full power with the Emeraleds for that with all 7 he no longer need Eggman to power the Ruby. With the Emeralds and the Ruby he cane recreate his family (or ANYTHING else) for that his only goal is to be with his love ones and undo all the damage caused by Eggman and himself
He wears the mask with the voice changer because it is a mask he is using it to hid his face so that no one will reconiz him after his goal is done and goes to live with his family in a normal home
Now let me talk about when sonic tell Infinite when and wear he first when sonic boom mach 1.1 he snaps and loses it almost to the brink of insanity he is quite until you hear laughter first near silent than louder and louder until everyone is forzen in fear even Sonic. infinite than looks up to sonic and with out even moving flouts up and back and state
"The hero will not kill the Villion who has cauesd millions of death alone
The hero losses nothing not even a single friend or smile
The hero born with with near endless power

Yet will cause so much pain and destruction all in the name of freedom"
BUT I the "bad guy"

I thought people who liked Sonic Lost World were just a myth... like Big Foot.
So Zazz is kind of like Starscream from Transformers...
tbh i thought that their name was just a pun on it and thought only a few of them were actually based off the sins
Honestly this makes them slightly more interesting at least. I accept this headcanon.
That'd be interesting.
I’ve had this thought as well but I’d say greed is actually Eggman since he is the final boss
I liked this a lot cause it didn't seem desperate to add more depth to Zavok, you were just concerned with giving the right amount that would elevate the story. Now why is it so hard for Sega to do the same? :D
Probably because their writers really like the Baldy McNosehair line and that's the overall tone of most of their stories :P
And thanks dude!
How about you can try rewriting Infinite.
RidersDX I agree plus it could’ve made look like a non-red bowser clone
Cause they didn't care to start with.
This game was directed by the writters of Happy Tree Friends, so what did you expect? I'm actually surprised there was no gore.
I like how you changed the moral from a really unclear “Listen To Your Friends because Occasionally They Know What They’re Talking About” into a very clear “Take Care of those you Care About”
(I only found the first moral of the story after a month or so of staring off into space during my free time.
Totally agree on infinite!! Pleaaaaase!!

I have news, this version of Zavok you made is actually being proposed for the Pure Evil wiki which I honestly find to be a massive accomplishment, it means that your fan made content was good enough to be seen as worth putting on an official wiki platform, and who knows, maybe Mephiles, Eggman, and Infinite are the next characters that you modified that will get a turn
And your Mephiles was also approved as Pure Evil.
Please for the love of god do this with infinite and sonic forces, this is sooooo good and i loved how you rebooted lost world
I would definitely watch that
I think I got a few ideas
-make infinite have a family that he just can’t remember due to eggmans brainwashing
-Actually show sonic being tortured and make his character more serious (he’d still crack jokes)
-ORIGINAL LEVELS THAT ARENT GREEN HILL OR CHEMICAL PLANT
-Make classic sonic a and tails come back, so classic sonic could have dialogue and basically be a fill-in of standard sonic
-Make eggmans metropolitan base a ruse, and give him a giant base in the null zone where we find out more about eggmans plans (something fucked up, considering the rest of the tones I’ve got going on)
-Make chaos come back and maybe other characters for villains (fang is re-introduced into cannon maybe?)
@@bedazzlebub967 Eggman brainwashing Infinite removes one of the best things about him. He is the only non robotic thing that willing serves Eggman in game canon and he does this because he was already messed up to begin with.

This is way better than the original story
Ken Pontac and Warren Graff should have played The Sonic Games before.
What story
The people that defend the story of Sonic Lost World (all the haters of AntDude’s review of ALW like Timothy Roehm) are the hypocritical haters.
This is legitimately impressive man! Talk about putting money where your mouth is regarding character development. Seems like Sega could have benefitted with you in the writing room. More content like this, please!
Thanks Jack! Heck, i thought people were gonna hate this, i'm so glad i'm getting so much positive feedback!
The story you came up with is so much better than the stories of any of the last 4 Modern Sonic games. Like, if the stories were more like this, I probably wouldn't have as much problem with the current writing staff.
Thanks dude! I had no idea how people were going to respond to this so i'm glad people are finding some enjoyment here!
Completely agree. The new writers are fucking horrible.
I mean, Unleashed's story was pretty good in my opinion
@@sonicrunn3r895 well that's cause unleashed story wasn't written by pontac and graff lmao 😂. I will agree saying it has a good story though, definitely one of the most consistent sonic stories with little plot holes.
This was an excellent rewrite of the Deadly Six, I love that Zavok has more of a presence and how he's way more of a threat than he was before, if Zavok was like this I wouldn't even mind if he popped up as side or main villain in future games.
I'm only a few minutes in, and already the characters are an improvement
I love the idea that Zavok accompanied the boss fights because he doesn't trust any of them to do it right except for Zik where he joined in to protect him. A 3 dimensional character can really make or break a few and the changes you made to lost world here would have made the game incredibly fun and more interesting. They should hire you or even fans to help create the stories for modern sonic games.
Jesus man, I never thought I'd like the Deadly Six. Wish this was what we really got!
Why didn’t sega come up with this. It’s 10 times better than what they presented
I wish I had a time machine so I could go back to Lost World's development and tell SEGA this masterpiece!
I’m just gonna pretend this is how Zavok is

Think you could do the same with Sonic Forces and Infinite? I just want that damn Phantom Ruby to warp reality instead of making “real illusions” as Tails describes it as. I know Forces is a fan service-y mess so if it’s too much, I’d just focus on Infinite, but yeah I’d like to hear your thoughts
I like that his power is illusions. It fits considering he's actually just a bully that uses a power that isn't his to compensate for not being able to beat Shadow.
shupasopni it’s not so much whether or not that his power is illusions as much as it is why it wasn’t clearly explained
the problem is that its just not interessting and zavok speaks,so the rules arent even consistant.a good story needs to have a ground to stand on

Ah, that's a good point.
Would love a tails fight.... But still the writers Wish they were This good
Thank you for my new canon 🙏

Umm.... I started a fire didn't I? 😅
Well read the Japanese script
i can really imagine shadow working for them just to screw them up in a vital situration because he was always a good guy
Already personally liked Zavok, but damn this so so much better for all of them.
Same
Sega, let this man cook!
This honestly a great rewrite, you can see the relationship with Zavok and the rest of the zeti slowly deteriorate overtime, going further downhill after Master Zik's defeat.
Here are some ideas I had for the other zeti, as the story goes on:
- During the cutscenes before Sky Road, Zazz is growing more and more impatient.
She figures she can command the other zeti, since she tends to use them for her own schemes (Ex: The snowman mech that Zomom helped with)
Over the course of the game, she notes how he keeps Zazz off the battlefield, using literally everyone else, including her.
I would like to see this kind of video for multiple series/ other games. You should call this series games/ characters rewritten
I'll think about that!

This was amazing, you actually managed to make the story and characters interesting
i love how you just build off their genereic prosperity or trope and add depth to it. It could be a good advice for writing characters, starting with very generic or general traits and build from there.
Why don’t more franchises do that more often
Thanks man! I'm glad it came across like I envisioned it!

Instead of the boss battle beginning as Zavok yells his final threat like it was implied, the camera cuts to Sonic who runs up to the now fairly massive Zavok to try and attack but Zavok let's out a flurry of fireballs out towards Sonic which forces the hedgehog to stop in order to evade them.
"Hey! Big, Red, and Ugly!"
Zavok turns around to see Sonic floating behind him, the 7 Emeralds orbiting around him.
Character development: I’d like it!
I think you just redeemed Sonic Lost World in my eyes. I seriously would love to see these ideas evolve into a fan comic or something.
"YOU'RE GOING HOME IN A BOX" BEST LINE IN THE GAME
This is so much better than the original story! I love how all of the Deadly Six feel like characters, partly because I'm a personal fan of villainous teams that care about each other, at least to an extent. I also really like how Eggman isn't the secret final villain, which was a dumb twist that ruins the interactions that the heroes had earlier.
Missed opportunity to call this "The Deadly Fixed"
Great job, you have a knack for character development. I hope to see this series in the future, even in a non Sonic game
I like this. How would rewrite Forces’ story?
Great rewrite! Love what you did with the character dynamics between the zetis, good job! ;)
Renigade68 that’s a really good idea too. It’s sad that Sega didn’t make a good story in this game, because there’s a lot of potential here...
thiswasa well done video,I like how you put it together plus your edits to the yetis story made me sense and it seemed better
Huh. This sounds interesting.
Oh my god... You're making me like these characters!
Awesome work, m8! This is writing I really aspire to achieve!
This is actually what I wanted from them.
Zavok being the delusional leader while the others are being less vocal towards him
Man, this was great! Fantastic work, and I hope you keep doing what you want because you really do well with this sorta stuff!
overall, quite good but here's ideas for personalities for Zeti expanded even more.
I love thinking about how to rewrite stories, so I'm glad to see people doing that on TH-cam.
good ideas yours is canon in my eyes.
Not gonna lie i saw your let`s fix infinite and holy balls is it good and part 2 also was really good your the best Garrulous64 i mean it dude.
Loved this. Just wish Zeena had A BIT more to do in this version of the story, but that would be it
This. Was. GREAT!!! I loved it! Good job man!
They are the deadly sins!
Zazz = Wrath
Zomom = Gluttony
Master Zik = Pride
Zeena = Lust
Zor = Sloth
Zavok = Envy
This is great! I loved the “let’s fix Zavok” video, and I love to see my favorite Garrulous friend making great video’s like this! I still hope you continue with your gaming video’s, but I’m pretty sure that’s the case.
"I don't know if I could make it better."
This is ten million times better than the actual version, man.
Glad you liked it!
Deadly Fix
This was really well done and thought out. You created better characters, better dialogue, and better boss fights. I'm really impressed
Wow if only you where the writter of sonic lost world btw great video
I wouldn't want to be in charge tbh. It's fun to muse about it though!
Garrulous64 do you an animation site that you can use on mobile because I want to make a animated version of this video
@@Garrulous64 well in that case can you make a video about fixing infinite
I watched both the "Sonic Forces fix" video, and this one, you are really good at this, SEGA should hire you!
You should rewrite Sonic Forces too. I personally like the game, but I’m sure you could make it even better!
I genuinely loved Sonic Lost World but this is so much better. You did a great job. The only thing I would've changed would be to perhaps give Zor a little more screentime after his defeat, for example him being saved by the other Zeti in the ending sequence.
