Hi Thomas and thanks for watching! The came from Jawel Paints in Birmingham. All mail ordered. They give you a complete guide to mixing with the paint. I used all 2k paints, so you the paint, the activator (which is like super glue so you don't want to inhale it!) And you'll need 2k fast thinners. Get mixing cups, sticks,, tack cloths and degreaser (anti silicon panel wipe) as well. Get it all from the same place so you know the paints are compatible with each other otherwise you'll end up with lots of pain.
There's a lot of videos on painting cars so have a hunt around. There are people than me to learn from on technique etc.
Another thing I learnt along the way was needing different nozzle sizes for primer and final coats.. worth a bit of research. I used 1.8 for primers and 1.3 for finish. That might be wrong tho!
I used etch primer first, followed by primer/filler, then the base coat (don't overdo that like I did!) Then finally clear coat. You want to give a good few coats of each to get a nice even finish. Oh, and I used stone chip instead of primer filler on the underside/floors/bulkhead and inside all the wheel arches. Paint lasts about 20 mins once mixed depending on temperature you're working in.. paint supplier will advise.
It takes ages. I spent 2 weeks doing it and fixing my errors. Fixing the errors probably took as long as putting the paint on so if you get good, you can prob halve that time.
Thanks again for watching. Sit and watch a good few different videos on painting and you'll get the idea. I didn't mention that I practiced on old panels before going mad on the car. Well worth it.
