Not sure if it's been suggested, but a couple things I've heard that you can do to increase reliability and decrease friction on moving parts in the engine are 1) WPC treatment, and 2) cryo treatment. Both of these procedures change the structure of the metal at a molecular level to essentially make it stronger, more durable, and more slippery. Definitely some things to look into.
For the DSC light to be off, just turn the wheel all the way left then all the way right and tada :) (once should be enough, the skiddy marks will stay, but those will be gone after restarting the car) I need to do the Sohn/CoF adapter change on mine. The traction control light is on due to the dsc light being on and the dsc light might be on due to the abs sensors malfunctioning or just being bad so i would check those 💪🏾
Stock air box is the best air box. Try not to go anything aftermarket on the air box otherwise you’d lose power. Reminder that when Mazda built this car they made it as high as an output on power as they could from factory.
The aem or Mazda speed cai are the only good ones. But you have to get catless mid pipe at the same time. Engine breaths better in and out 😉. I have the Mazda speed on my rx8 with catless mid pipe.
U need a cat deleted if u got the sohn adapter, If u got the cat already deleted U don't need the secondary air vacuum. And now that u have a sohn adapter u can go full synthetic oil. If you unplug your battery you have to reset your steering by turning on the car steer all the way to the left...then go all the way to the right...then back to the center of the where the wheels are straight. Turn of the car...then turn back on. It should reset that. Oh let it run for 5 minutes or so not to flood then engine.☑️
If your not hard on them and you know how to drive them they last 100k or more. I'm close to that on a stock RX8 2005 it's been a great car. I don't mind putting a 2500 motor in it every 100k or in my case every 15 years. It's better than a 10k engine or a 7k transmission in any new car today. Most those don't last 100k anymore.

-The rx8 hood is already aluminum and weighs just as much if not less than most carbon fiber versions.
-Already has a kevlar-carbon fiber driveshaft
You are gonna save me in the future like seriously

Very cool series!
The traction control light is on due to the dsc light being on and the dsc light might be on due to the abs sensors malfunctioning or just being bad so i would check those 💪🏾
Where did u buy the SOHN adapter for the omp deleted!?
digging the build episode!!!
I love all the videos you guys make. Keep it up!
Appreciate the love fam!
Or you can opt for Racing Beat setup but the gains for any intake changes on the 8 is meh at best per dollar spent.
He so needs to wear the mighty car mods guys shirt 1 step is to Jack up your car. When he said that I bust out laughing
U need a cat deleted if u got the sohn adapter,
If u got the cat already deleted
U don't need the secondary air vacuum.
And now that u have a sohn adapter u can go full synthetic oil.
And u might want to check transmission oil and diff oil too,
I recommend using
Red Line (50304 MT-90 75W-90 GL-4 Manual Transmission Gear Oil - 15 oz. U going to need 2 quarts for the transmission.
And for the diff u need 2 quarts of
Red Line 57904 (75W90) Synthetic Gear Oil and NO THERE NOT THE SAME OIL! DON'T MISTAKE THAT!!
This makes me want to buy an rx8
OMG i was literally searching for this today wtf
Donut's money pit Miata is normal survival Minecraft, and the RX8 is Ultra Hardcore.
The dsc flash, you basically need to turn the steering wheel all the way full lock from left to right and it will disappear
I love this car and i really enjoyed the video but i’m still not sure what you were installing and why - can we see more of the reason for installing the part and the effect that it has mechanically?
i felt the same way but the description says it's to able to use sythetic oil.
do a series on making unrealible motors good next one should be the northstar engine
Turn the wheel to both locks for 10-15 seconds and that will clear your cluster after the battery has been disconnected.
RX-8 is very nice car
To reset your stability control and creature control you need to turn your steering wheel for lock multiple times both ways, and if you actually want to turn the computer off 100% hold down the button for 10 seconds when it is working , As the dam system is almost killed me
I remember my first time working with a Rx8 😂🤣🤣
My RX8 was super reliable. All I did was upgrade the ignition and run premix lol. The engine only died when I turbocharged it and lost control of my wastegate. 😬
Liar....
Is anyone in this comment section saying they're unreliable actually a rotary owner?
Anyone with half a brain knows they are all unreliable...
Are you and your boyfriend in gay couples therapy yet? I hope you guys work out your relationship issues.
585 coil packs, dual res cat, radiator, radiator fan, 3 gauges oil pressure, water, oil temp, synchro saver, urethane motor mounts, and always premix. Then you mod for performance! Ps get rid of the air pump you won't need it when you get rid of the cat
don’t want to believe and won’t let myself believe this
Yess
Love the music
Harbor Freight is my happy place. Anytime I can't find the tool I'm looking for, I'd rather go to harbor freight than spend more time finding it.
Lucky 7 Racing!!!!!!
I pulled those artisa for mr gels
🙌
Please get an exhaust and midpipe for sure. For some flames :) maybe a twin turbo kit cause a 700 horsepower rx8 would be pretty sick
Hello Fitment Industries! Continue your excellent work. Have an important question: could you try putting gasoline high 91 or 93 octane in the SOHN ADAPTER “RESERVOIR” just like you do when you premix. And see if you notice a difference in performance, as rotaries love fuel. Could you please take it for a ride with fuel and oil again in the sohn adapter reservoir and see if you notice an improvement in performance. And leave it in the comments reply box? Thanks for your help! You might even be able to make a video on it.
Typical rotard.
