I learned decades ago to use anti-seize on carb mounting stud threads so the nut comes off for service but the stud remains in place. I Loctite those to the intake manifold (Loctite excludes moisture so it also functions as anti-seize). With modern fuel I find the smart play when storing a vehicle is to remove the carb, bolt an engine lifting plate in its place to keep out critters, invert the carb to drain it completely then let it quickly dry out by placing it somewhere warm like on a tray on my floor mat.
When is holley going to do a video on tuning the low speed circuit using air fuel ratio meters at fixed throttle just below when the primary boosters start to trickle fuel at about 1800 rpms. Off idle throttle response is incredible. The 0.031 idle feed restrictions are good for the flow testing machine but are slightly lean on a 350 engine. Just about perfect for a 327. Too rich for a a 302. 427s need about 0.036" idle feed restrictions. 347 to 365 inch engines need a 0.032" idle feed restriction.
