Awesome channel! I’d much rather watch you attempt to piece it together than someone bolting on new parts! Also - Clem is perfect, keep the vids coming!
We Baby-boomers, like your Mom and me, have special powers that are activated when we are not amused. We do not like being referred to as fossils. Not amusing. This is why you are having a lot of problems. Apologize to your Mother and buy her a fabulous birthday pre$ent...and do it now....
One hell of a job! I acquired an 87 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate that was pretty much in pieces. The engine had been changed so I had to find dual carbs and fabricate the throttle linkage. A shit load of swearing over the years but now it’s my summer weekend ride.
Great point. Decided to tear mine completely apart and start over. It’s been 3 years should be spring till I get into paint and assemble. Long ass time to wait to drive
Necessity is the mother of all invention! Love your videos! When I am not working on my own VW’s it’s always nice to see what others are doing and going through. Sometimes things are challenging to say the least. It’s nice to know that we all run into issues working on cars. It’s just more fun to watch others struggle.😊 We don’t like it so much when it’s our problem. Clementine is looking great. Looking forward to the next one.
Love your vids Taylor. I'm the guy you were helping a year ago with the engine in my Ghia. Since that time I've built an entire engine out of spare parts (sold it for $2k), and I have a supercharger on the way for the Ghia, will be my winter project. I've come a long way with your encouragement.
" this should go pretty easy " ....cue the music 😂, nice edit 👍
Thanks 😂

Fyi.
I was able to put a regular petcock on my early tank. I didn’t have to run the reserve doohickey
I had a feeling it would fit, didn’t have one of those kicking around either 😂 ordered a reserve tap that thankfully arrived this week.

Perseverance paid off, well done man!
Shifter extension is genius!
Hey thanks 😂 we’ll see how well it actually works when everything is spinning under load 🤞🏻
I have never regretted my removable rear valance...don't even have to put my 59 on jacks to do motor...so sweet!
Thats a nice upgrade to have.

Great info! I try to improvise a lot but I always seem to end up just buying what I was trying to make. At least it's fun to try!

Fuck yeah! Good for you dude, I’m glad things are starting to work out for you and that Ghia 😂 always happy to help!
I love the "RHODE ISLAND 57" license plate. You're well on your way to irritating the purists. Grafted ragtop - mission accomplished! So keep going.
