Lots of great info in the video! I've got a couple notes and some info to add below. Sorry for the long comment, but it does include a mystery that maybe someone can provide an answer for. There was an announced Black Bolt Variant from the Hasbro 2009 Nemesis BAF Wave. I don't believe both figures were ever shown but it was listed on a promo checklist I have from Hasbro. I think the checklist came with a figure. It has a picture of their 2007 Golden Age Cap punching out Hydra soldiers on the front, upcoming Waves listed on the back. It lists a Black Bolt (Black/Silver Variant). That's essentially what was released. So maybe there was a blue version planned as the regular release but scrapped? Also of note is the Annihilus Wave doesn't list any variants. That Orange Fin Fang Foom actually has a new head, neck, and torso. Why? Because there was going to be electronics like the other figures in the MU Masterworks line. He was also going to come with a flame that connected to the mouth. Highly likely we would have gotten a green version too since Sentinel and Galactus both received variants. This info can be found on Marvelous News. There was an unreleased Vault Guardsman figure. It was a completely green version of the 2010 Titanium Man figure that was also reused for 2012 Ultron. Shown in one of the Fwoosh articles mentioned below. The variant X-Force Archangel was going to have black eyebrows, SDCC had blonde. It was also said his eyes would be a different color, but the few carded ones out there still have red. Also has the dull wings. In late 2014 through mid 2015 a bunch of headless listings for unreleased figures and recent SDCC exclusives hit eBay from overseas sellers. There were even some unpainted heads as well. Unreleased figures like Rogue, AoA Jean, White Phoenix, Lyra, Vault Guardsman, X-Force Archangel, & Phoenix 5 Cyclops. I personally bought some of these and they were legit figures without errors and with the correct stamping. The Fwoosh even posted articles about them, with one being written by Robo. I believe it was all the planned variants and SDCC re-releases mentioned in the video that were already in production. Most of the stuff was two years old by this time. Some carded examples were even listed. I'm guessing production was started then halted. They either had to clear warehouse space, couldn't find a buyer, or had moved on from these figures and wouldn't be able to revisit them for whatever reason and decided to get rid of the stock. This resulted in them finding their way onto eBay.

Sad story. I was able to get my hands on one of the Silver Luke Cage's thanks to a friend of mine who found it and gave it to me before we knew how rare it was. Why is it a sad story? 23:07 I don’t think that makes any logical sense. The figures themselves were only STRETCH GOALS, not the Haslab itself, which was the Spirit of Vengence Charger. To say that the Haslab failed bc no one wanted Goblin Queen or Mephisto is absolutely absurd!! I am doubtful that anyone would be willing to shell out $400+ for one or two general release style figures. Also, the inclusion of Goblin Queen in this Haslab was more confusing to me than anything. While she is connected to Mephisto, she’s not a character I immediately associate with Ghost Rider, if at all!! She will always be connected to the Inferno event, to Cyclops, Havok, Cable, and the X-Men. Yes, they recently had the X-Men 97 version, but to have a comic version forever denied bc they proposed her as a STRETCH goal for a character’s VEHICLE that she has only the LOOSEST of connections/associations with would be even lamer than the current action figure “war against cleavage” that is getting worse each year
Got FF white Doom and Red Deadpool (still boxed) and the Bishop variant Always bugged me that he was different to the different to the photo so thanks for the info on it and hi from Galway
Personally, if I ever happen to come across the Mystique that utilizes that same torso, you can guarantee I’ll be snatching her up and repurposing that amazing sculpt..
Forbush Man was the mascot of Marvel's "Not Brand Ecch" comedy series. He's actually got a very disturbing power despite not being physically intimidating.
I still don’t get why we don’t have the Phoenix 5 We’d eat that up I’d also totally buy the EoV, o backed it and was upset it failed tbh I know this vid was 12 days ago, but happy to see we’re getting Helstrom so that kinda is a start for EoV lol
very interesting ... had no idea they were going to create a forbush man!!!! when i was a kid i thought irving forbush was a real person for a bit doh LOL
Dave, as a corollary to this video you should do one on Legends that will never be made. Like Yellow Claw - a great Avengers and SHIELD villain. Or new Mandarin. There was an old Toy Biz one, but I doubt we’ll ever get a classic Mandarin again. Or a classic Falcon. They released 2 versions - one in 2020 and one in 2022 that were almost the same. I think the retro 2022 was supposed to be the 70s version, but someone put the brakes on at the last minute.
don't forget about the tasm 2 Spider-Man. the prototype is complete different to the official release. alongside the pizza spidey body mold. the original has so many different features and is overall a cleaner, more well proportioned figure.
Some of those pics belonged to me lol. I had just about all the figures mentioned in this video. X-men phoenix was the most difficult to track down for sure.
Solid Snake! You’re quite the legend yourself. I fell down the rabbit hole of looking up all these figures. That collection of yours must be amazing. Thank you for providing us all with proof that these figures do exist!
Are you aware of the shitstorm that the first images of that Toybiz Ultron caused? Lots and lots of whining about the head sculpt. They wanted classic Ultron, not that dog-faced one. I think they should have stuck to their guns, but it was changed due to fan outcry. This also led to a funny thing when the Toybiz Maestro came out. In an old Hulk toyline they gave him the "Fallen Hero Armour", basically notable accessories from known Marvel heroes slapped onto his body like trophies. People wanted it for the Marvel Legend, and complained when it didn't happen. Toybiz's Jesse Falcon had this to say: "I thought it was very funny to read that people were pissed that the Maestro had no fallen hero armor witch was NEVER in the comic. That armor was something we created with the first Hulk classic line, but when WE design an Ultron, a character that has looked different every single time it's appeared in the comic it's fu$%&*ing heresy! GREAT!!!!" The Ultron toy actually predated Marvel Ultimate Alliance by a few months, so I think Ultimate Alliance used their design, since he's saying they designed that particular Ultron.
Even though this video was all my information you made it very entertaining lol. Its great to have all this information in 1 place (other than in my mind). Only 1 correction that canceled DD from the mojo wave was first appearance DD not movie. Of course all the ones I still want are all the characters that we havent gotten still like terror inc, classic voodoo and solo. Also also for anybody reading this comment thinking "hey that figure was actually released" the ones that were released were different in some way shape or form, whether it was different parts or in a different wave etc. Like constrictor for example was ina different wave originally and had a different head sculpt compared to the one that was actually released. 🙂 great video dave!
I would pay decent money for those Bug and Dire Wraith figures.I don’t want to be TOO optimistic, but they were able to figure out the rights to put omnibus releases of both of those comics, so maybe one can still keep his fingers crossed for these too 🤞
This is the first I’m seeing that Bug, I think? I know quite a few of us sacrificed Nightcrawlers and Magneto helmets to make customs of him! I’m the one who joked about James Gunn’s pic of Chuckwudi on set being him. A couple idiots got into a fight in my replies. When I checked back in, James had stepped in and clarified he had asked to use them in all three films, but was denied due to license issues. They are all back at Marvel now, but James is not, so…??? (Also, you can’t tell me Mantis was going to be revealed as one of Bug’s people!)

Yes, they recently had the X-Men 97 version, but to have a comic version forever denied bc they proposed her as a STRETCH goal for a character’s VEHICLE that she has only the LOOSEST of connections/associations with would be even lamer than the current action figure “war against cleavage” that is getting worse each year
i would've loved the black and yellow Cyclops!
Both Havok and Bishop were based on the looks they had in the comic books at that time. Bishop prototype had the look of the District X comic book.
We’re getting the Daimon Hellstrom from the Robbie Reyes Haslab in the upcoming Blackheart baf wave
You love to see it! :)
I want that fourbrush
I gotta say that Macho Man Deadpool is awesome (one of my favorite wrestlers) Macho Man is so iconic I'd for sure get a Deadpool version.
Would've been cool to see the side by sides of what actually released vs promo/ original images
Forbush Man was the mascot of Marvel's "Not Brand Ecch" comedy series. He's actually got a very disturbing power despite not being physically intimidating.
Hey thanks for the info!
That devil dinosaur mold can be found in a Walmart dinosaur set for like under $20 .
That’s a steal!
lol, I had the blue wasp. I still might have it.
We did get a goblin Queen and they just announced Damian helstrom in the black heart wave! Talk about a coincidence!
If that Sue from World Greatest Heroes had come out I would have chased her badly, I LOVE that design
I wondered when can we expect a hasbro pulse Marvel Legends reveal soon like a spider man trilogy wave like before?
I still don’t get why we don’t have the Phoenix 5
We’d eat that up
I’d also totally buy the EoV, o backed it and was upset it failed tbh
I know this vid was 12 days ago, but happy to see we’re getting Helstrom so that kinda is a start for EoV lol
very interesting ... had no idea they were going to create a forbush man!!!! when i was a kid i thought irving forbush was a real person for a bit doh LOL
Special request. As told by toys Deadly Genesis? I know those are a lot of work, but it is a really short read
I really enjoy the "As Told By Toys". It's probably the main thing that got me subbed to this channel!
That’s been on the list for a while now!
What about the fantastic four video game Annihilus figure?
don't forget about the tasm 2 Spider-Man. the prototype is complete different to the official release. alongside the pizza spidey body mold. the original has so many different features and is overall a cleaner, more well proportioned figure.
Oh interesting. I didn’t know about that
We did get round 2 of Legendary Heroes. It was the wave with the Monkeyman BaF.
He meant wave 3. Mistakes happen.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Psylocke.
I kinda wish the figures he's referencing had images as well (i.e the running changes)
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour I enjoyed this video. Definitely brought back some old memories for this old man. Thank you.
I never understood the ultimate alliance ultron’s weird dog head
GREAT!!!!"
The Ultron toy actually predated Marvel Ultimate Alliance by a few months, so I think Ultimate Alliance used their design, since he's saying they designed that particular Ultron.
They really need to release a Mephisto. That's just ridiculous that they're not.
I want a Mr Fantastic with several stretched torsos , arms , legs , and neck . They did Cannonball with his legs and blast off lower half .
Yeah I think the Mezco is the closest version we will see of that
Okay so I got the bishop with that's bald and no scarf
I got a feeling this one's gonna make me a bit sad for the figures that could of been
That cyclops slaps major ass cheeks. Missed opportunity
Maybe we will see him one day
Nice In Living Color reference.
I want more kangs marvel legends like comic immortus, scarlet centurion and rama tut
Wendy Robbins owns pretty much every rare legends figure it's possible to own...
Does she have socials?
@@WurvMan she shows up now and again in various Marvel Legends groups on Facebook
