Hai sir, In my family first time cancer happens.. My first baby 1 year old had AML with monocytic differentiation and C56 Aberrancy with cytogenetics and now my first baby died... Then now we are planning for second baby. second baby got any chance to get same blood cancer.. Can u suggest me any precautions please sir
My father was just diagnosed with AML. He now has a Philadelphia chromosome. Are there any cures that we can explore? They tell us none, but I'm not convinced.
Hi Terry, we are very sorry to hear that. The BCR-ABL1 mutation (also called t(9;22) or Philadelphia chromosome) is rare in AML and is considered an adverse prognosis. Because everyone's disease is different, we suggest he get a second opinion about his care with an AML specialist. You can search for one on our website here: healthtree.org/aml/community/directory. Best wishes!
