senesino83 this is her whole part of it though, she just starts from the B section in the interests of time so they can work on the da capo part. It's pretty common in masterclass settings.
- Formidable, brava! no comment.
@g4thz @Roe27Ger First of all, she's probably nervous as hell to be singing for Teresa Berganza. I know I would. I think you're both missing the forest for the trees. She has a lovely instrument but lacks the technique to support the sound. There's no legato, and the fact that she attacks many of the notes/phrases with a straight tone then thunks into a quavery vibrato shows she's not ready to sing this stuff. Her vowels are also not pure, so the color of the language is off, too.
This soprano is technically very green and Haendel's music has no mercy with uncouth voices: she does the aria because she's "natural" but with every note one thinks how much better the same note could have been sung. Not to mention the awful pronunciation: one cannot understand a single word. Ms Berganza shouldn't have chosen this one eve n because she doesn't really pay attention to her suggestions
bella voz!!!!
con un timbre precioso y muy dulce.
gracias maestra por regalarnos tantos conocimientos.
@malbertmacl Yes - it's the B-Part of "V'adoro pupille" - the recording is evidently cut somewhere after the start of the masterclass :)

Tienes razón y pensé lo mismo que tu... " Hermosa voz " 😀
Coulde somebody translate what T.Berganza told about high position in singing?
@lindsaydenman the first words she sings seem to be 'pietose vi brama'
malbertmacl because she starts from the B section of the Aria. But it's true that the piece is V'adoro pupille from Giulio Cesare.
La aria se llama v'adoro pupille de la opera de Haendel Giulio Cesare..
Actually this is apart of the actual aria "V'adoro pupille".
he cantado esta aria pero tengo que mejorarla ...me encanta
utube just in time by John bavas
Decent voice, first rate rack.
Isn't this aria called "V'adoro pupille?"

she was debuting ... she is now a wonderful singer and was nominated in France for the "victories of classical music" in 2008
