Scott: I was a little leary on this process, however did exactly what you instructed and the results were excellent!! This will be my new rinseless wash process from this day going forward. Thank you
I'm dubious. I use Carpro Ech2o for my rinseless solution. I mix one ounce to three gallons of deionized water and then dunk my spray bottle in the bucket. I then soak the panels with the same solution. Because the product is so concentrated mixing up a batch is very economical. Consequently I douse the surface and sometimes go through two spray bottles' worth. I wouldn't be as generous knowing I was going to go through $10 worth of qwik wax. I also like the fact that the dirt encapsulation process has already been initiated which isn't the case with the wax.
Excellent idea. Only I’d just spray the rinseless washed soaked towel with a spritz of the spray wax to reduce product consumption and get same protection.
I noticed many of the waterless washes have high levels of natural and/or synthetic waxes as part of their formulation. I've also noticed more and more lately have been saying their spray waxes can be used as waterless washes so this approach is a lot like using a waterless wash as a pretreatment for your rinseless wash I think. Nice thing is Megs Quik Wax and Synthetic Wax are inexpensive and readily available.
Pure genius. I have a few bottles laying around. So simple and obvious but no one ever put it together. Makes total sense. And at worst your adding a tiny amount of protection and shine to your rinseless wash
The “Juicy Goodness” is real. I just tried this with another spray and wipe wash/wax product....not exactly the method used here...now the towel just glides. With everything soaked and with that juicy goodness...it definitely “feels” like there is less scratching. Thank you ...thank you ...stocking up on ultimate quick wax this week.
Thank you for this helpful video, Scott! You clean so thoroughly and efficiently in all of your videos, and the result looks beautiful, shiny and spotless each time! You're not the only one to say that UQW can be buffed off if left to dry in the sun. That hasn't been my experience. It's pretty good, but I still find that I need to finish with small spritzes of water to really remove all streaking.
Scott there is no one like you. You're an original!!! A character, as my grandfather from the Bronx would always say. Hey, I'm going to try this with xpress spray wax. Will that work?
Great job, Scott! Wonderful idea! I was just talking to my Dad about the greatness of Meguiar's Ultimate Spray Wax as well as the Synthetic Express! And I had used it a few days ago to help with the shine or gloss and slickness on a portable air conditioner and to some degree as a protectant over the Ultimate Polish I used prior 😀❤👍 Thanks!!!!!
4:19 the microfiber you're using is important too. If you use a thick microfiber, it's safer. If you use a slim one, even you put little pressure on it, pressure is too much...the fibers are too short... Now I'm using buffing microfiber for washing and buffing microfiber for drying. I've learned it when I scratched my car whereas I used a lot of microfiber ; one face = one pass only...i scratched it. Now I'm using a buffing microfiber...only one for the entire car...if too much dust on it, I simply rinse it...no scratch. (sorry for my weird english. I'm french)

isnt it the reason we spray the rinseless solution into the panel first, is to emulsify the dirt first on the panel before the "main wash" in rinseless method? So if you spray a quick wax instead before the main rinseless wash, it will just make it more slippery and lubricated, but the dirt are still on top of it..... so it really wont mar the paint?
So...can I just use the foam cannon to apply the rinseless wash agent on the car, spray the spray wax on (with the rinseless agent on the car), then wipe off...is that the same as your method?
I would feel safer going to a self car wash and power washing the hell out of the vehicle first then doing this process though. Great pro tip I'll try this technique Scott!
I’m not talking about myself but lots of people disagree that 2 bucket methods and pressure washers are safest way , some say when using pressure washer your blasting dirt on the panel which causes scratches , and they say the safest wash method is a rinseless wash with a sponge but not any sponge
What’s your current favorite finish after using a rinseless wash? I’ve seen you use optiseal, fast finish, quick wax, spray wax, etc. Do you even have a favorite? Thanks for your help. Really like your videos
Are you using multiple application towels for the rinseless part? Reason I’m asking is because you’re using the quick wax a a pre soak. Then you’re applying your rinseless wash. What happens when you dunk your towel back in to do another panel?
I talk about your question within the video so I'm a little confused by your question now. Maybe you meant another wax I didn't discuss in this video??
so the sealant doesn't interfere with the rinseless wash solutions ability to do the lifting/ encapsulation we hear so much about? I love rinseless washes by the way and love these tips.
Would pretreatment with a waterless wash differ much from using a wax? i did my first rinseless wash last week and something seemed odd apply the wash towel to dry paint so i sprayed waterless wash/ quick detaler before touching the panel.
There are products out there that can be as lubricated as a spray wax, so basically YES, you can use a waterless wash. Just gotta make sure the ratio will not leave streaks behind and you're set. I use a Rinseless that can be diluted to waterless and when you come into contact with the wash mitt on panel, it feels like you're washing with regular soap and water, but with no foam and no need to rinse product off the paint.
Number 1 your awesome, thanks for all your great tips. One question where do i find your products? Ive looked on amazon but nothing. I love to purchase your stuff i know its gotta be top notch. Let me know thanks.
Hi, I need a Professional Detailers Opinion please. When I put Carnauba Wax on my Car, and I am in a Hot Climate plus the Heat of the Engine, Will my Carnauba Wax melt or soften immediately, and the wind dust and dust on top of my Car will bond on the soften, melted Carnauba Wax, When my Car cools off, The soften and remaining carnauba wax will have dust particles on it, when it cools, it will be hard again. When I wash my Car, it will be harder to remove those Contaminated Carnauba Wax Layers, When I Wax the Car Again, I will more than likely Cover up the Dust Infused Carnauba with another layer of Carnauba wax, thus slightly dulling the finish of my Car overtime.
