    This stuff works really well as a drying aid. I've been using 55-1 and it does leave behind very very minimal protection but it doesn't last more than a few days. For a coated vehicle it's great because it doesn't continually stack up protection but adds some slickness during the towel dry.

  • @seashackf1

    A rinseless wash with a pre…..RINSE. Not sure that’s the right name for it considering. I was cringing when I though you were going to do an actual rinseless on that initial grit. Very glad you did the pre rinse.

    I have been using the coin car wash with Absolute this winter also. Except i go early or late and do the whole process there. • @jeffc6832

    This is my exact process, except I like to leave the wheels for the end. I dump what is leftover from my rinseless bucket into my wheel bucket...so that I can clean off my wheel cleaning tools as I go.
    This whole discussion about what a rinseless "leaves behind" is moot. Every detailing product out there (including soap) is leaving "something" on the surface (except IPA)...even a lot of coating surface preps leave something to help their designated coatings bond properly.
    Yes, Absolute has some gloss enhancing properties. There is some slickness from the polymers that you can feel. But anything it does leave is not going to interfere with coatings, or whatever product/process you are going to do next. I can clay a car with Absolute, wipe it dry and go right into polishing. Or if you are just washing the car and are going to apply a topper...the carrier agents of that product are going to wipe out whatever small amounts of polymers/gloss agents are on the surface. And if all you are doing is wiping it dry, it's only going to stick around for a couple days at most.
    You're never going to see any film, it's not going to attract dirt (if anything I've noticed some anti-static effects) and I have not seen any change to coating hydrophobics when using it.

My only issue after doing a few tests was that the absolute tends to leave "stuff" suspended in the solution instead of dropping to the bottom like the ONR does. I have to do another test when its warmer as I did notice the absolute did start to separate in the bucket when it was below 25F.

    You do know when you use a pressure washer and there's still dust specs or dirt on your paint surface or ceramic coating that you're just blowing around microscopic Scratch balls that will cause scratches and more

    There's that magic dilution ratio again - 1:256 🤣

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Add one ounce of Absolute to 2 Gallons of water (256:1 dilution) in a wash bucket. Submerge a wash mitt or multiple microfiber towels and mix the product thoroughly. Squeeze excess product from wash media and begin washing from top to bottom of the vehicle, dipping back into the wash bucket often.

    No offence Brian but this seems like a massive waste of time.
    Given the steps here, you're far quicker doing a 2 bucket safe wash with a pre soak

    • @ssing7113
      @ssing7113 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some people don’t have that ability ( apartments .. ) and it is quicker when done right as you’re not filling buckets. Air drying….

    I don’t get this why they made this rinseless market… isn’t it just a over saturated application of a spray wax and just use car soap and water… Going back basics with products you already have. These companies just wants to keep selling relabeling products.

    What an unnecessarily huge waste of product.
    When you sprayed such a product onto a coated surface (as in your video) including the wheels, most of that product instantly ended up on the floor.
    In genuinely high quality nations (more than 90% globally), there is no severe water shortage that affects car washing and prevents you from washing your car. Even Bangladesh doesnt have such 3rd world issues.
    And those countries enjoy REAL freedom…including the freedom to wash your car in your own porch or garden with water that you pay. That is FREEDOM😂.
