Yeah Tom is 62 and that guy kicked my butt. For some reason I was sucking wind the first part of the trip. It was really weird. And thats even with me taking my time and filming. Our next adventure...i did much better.
Lol! Funny you say that...we were saying that the whole way down. Our idea was to turn around and go back 2 miles to where the remains of the old outfitters camp was. By the time we got there we had 2 Liters of water between the 3 of us and we were like eff it...the last thing we wanted to do was have to ration water with, because Blitz was ginna get at least 1 L. Will go back an tackle it from another way in later this summer.
Oh now u sound like Chris Collinsworth talking about Brett Favre ...."Brett Favre is a wily ol veteran....he wasnt falling for what the defense was showing."
Definitely a place to return to. Gorgeous views. BTW, I have that exact same windbreaker that Tom has - pattern and all. Well, except for a Sunset Lake Camp logo on mine.
Oh yeah i will be giing back in later this summer. A fella coukd actually do Pulpit Lake day 1...then iver to China Lake day 2 out Flagstaff Mountain day 3. Would require a person to take 2 Vehicles.
Another really fun video. Rugged scenery, man! Good decision turning back when you did, as if you had a choice but looks like a great day regardless. Loved the little orchid cameo. Thanks for the several belly laughs, I’m very envious of your adventure guys.
Always a good time with Virginia Slim Too cold Bird Dog Tom. yeah i feel we were about 2 weeks early trying to get ij there. Will try again later this summer.
Yeah ...we headed back to the old outfitters camp and between the 3 of us 2 L of water . Blitz would have had 1L to himself easily. Had the wind not been blowing so bad and better places to hang a hammock that wasnt surrounded by widow makers we could have stayed up top and melted snow.
Thank you good sir. Its been one hell of a journey to get there. Im looking forward to some good adventures this summer...and capturing some goof memories. Next goal...to hooefully hit 100 long form videos by the end of 2024. I think i have to do like at least 16 long forms to hit that.
Excellent video Jess! I recognize your hiking partner and is he ever going to get some grief about the bear bells. It's shame you carried those backpacks on a day hike.
Lol! What funny is thats my back pack he is wearing....i never noticed how annoying they are because im the one wearing them. Yeah....had we known what we were getting into we wouldnt have worn full packs. When i droned the area from the trail head earlier in the week from what i saw it was gonna be clear, smooth sailing. I was hoping to give Tom a repreive from our Moran Basin adventure. NOPE! . It was good exercise though, and i will be trying again later in the summer from a different trail. Thanks for watching Bryan.
Another great video! Sorry it didn't work out for you this trip but I love the ending.
I loved the ending with the emergency room quote. 😂 It looked kind of tough, even blitz almost didn’t make it back to the car. Beautiful spot though.

Tom hikes Montana!! Glad to see he made it up there safely. Looked like a beautiful place! Don't carry a full pack when doing a day-hike #ProTip!!

13 miles in a day is a GOOD hike. Plus factor in walking through snow.... Time for a burger and some poutine at the local tavern!!
We actually came home and ate Tacos. and racked out pretty quickly. We were exhausted.
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍35
