CLIFF LAKE CABINET MOUNTAINS MONTANA
AFTER A SEASON OF BUSHWHACKING, BLITZ AND I WERE IN NEED OF AN EASY HIKE SO WE COULD RELAX AND HAVE FUN. SO WE DECIDED TO GO INTO THE EASIEST HIKE IN THE CABINET MOUNTAINS, CLIFF LAKE. WARNING:::::THE HIKE IS EASY, BUT, THE ROAD TO THE TRAIL HEAD IS A REAL BUGGER! THE VIEWS FROM CLIFF LAKE ARE AMAZING. THIS LAKE GETS HIT HARD AND GOOD LUCK GETTING SOLITUDE OR FINDING WOOD FOR A FIRE. I LUCKED OUT AND WAS ABLE TO FLY MY DRONE FROM THE ROAD THAT IS CLOSE TO THE WILDERNESS BOUNDARY. AMAZING PHOTOS.
FYI: NO DRONE WAS FLOWN ,OPERATED ,LANDED OR TOOK OFF IN THE WILDERNESS BOUNDARY.

Have to admit that in all of my 73 years I've never heard the term "Chain of Lakes" used to describe any of the collection of lakes in the CMWA. A friend named Bob Hosea has also hiked these lakes and has them on film.
FYI: None of the Kootenai National Forest is located in Idaho: don't beleieve me? Check this out. www.libbymt.com/areaattractions/kootenaiforestmap.gif
As a native of Libby I'd urge you to hike into Klatawa Lake if you already haven't. Do that one and you can rightfully claim to be real a genuine brush banger.
@@d.mansfield6315 will be goung by Klatawa next year when i go into Double Lake. ...Klatawa doesnt strike my fancy...just looks like a mud hole of a lake. lol
@@hyoh-wu By now it probably is a pretty much a mud hole, Double Lakes most likely all the same. I was there in 1967 and 1970 mostly because it Klatawa was known as the most remote and difficult to reach lakes in the Cabinets. It was a mosquito-redden hole back then. I just came back from 10 days in that country and the drought has hit hard; there was also a serious forest fire at Kalatawa in 2015. My favorite jaunt was to Lower and Upper Geiger Lakes; then over Lost Buck pass to with Wanless Lake or over to Bear Lakes and then Baree Lake to be picked up at the Silver Butte-Fisher Road.

@hyoh-wu no worries man. Your notable one year reminds me of some of the EXTERNAL demons that contributed to my heavy drinking. My in-laws, my mortgage, my job.....so I sold the house just before I got laid off at work, and shortly thereafter, divorced. Then I drank trying not to think about everything I had lost! 😏
