This song is about the Celtic Goddess Epona, the Mother Goddess of fertility, health, and of course Horses. It’s basically a prayer to Epona. She’s the only Celtic God to be adopted by the Romans after the conquest of Gaul. They are singing in the Gaulish language so Brain Cell to Joel for getting that right. I was hoping that the language wouldn’t be an issue given how beautiful the singing and music are but I guess Chuckles just couldn’t get there. I personally love how this band honors their heritage and helps keep history alive.
