you do an awesome job Freechip I thank you. Ive been using your spm file for the dx8 for over a year so thank you sir for helping me and every other person that finds these fancy radios hard to program
Hi, great videos, ive just setup my DX9 and all appears to be ok, i'm about to set up naza assistant, when will your next video be ready for naza assistant, Many thanks, Steve.
freemarlochip Thanks for reply, ive fitted the spektrum ar8000 to my phantom 2 naza m v2, have tried configuring dx9 to naza assistant but will not work, there is no way of changing the rc settings from D-bus to traditional rx, have you found a way around this of configuring spektrum to naza m? im at a stand still now :-(
hey Freechip I updated my dx9 to 1.7 and now i dont get alot of the voices, they are there as an option but if you click on test nothing. did you experience this by chance ?
It appears some folks are having issues when binding and I mention to toggle Failsafe Switch to prep the radio for binding in Preset Failsafe. Don't forget to toggle out of failsafe once bind complete. Someone mentioened not being able to get it out of failsafe.
Mark Edell IOC = Intellegent Orientation Control - allows the model to be flown in a direction regardless of the nose of the model. Remote Gains is the ability to remotely adjust the gains of the Naza Flight controller but this function would be best suited with an analog input like a Knob or Lever. So both may not be needed for some folks.
freemarlochip Good info. Thanks! I guess the IOC mode is like the "Safe Mode" on my 350QX. I hate that mode! LOL The in flight Gain mode is something I am not interested in either so I guess I have one extra channel! :-D All of my other builds have been Multiwii based but I was having a hard time with gps so I am trying NAZA for my camera platform model.
Mark Edell IOC is comprised of two flight modes( CourseLock & HomeLock ) CourseLock is based on the recorded heading and HomeLock is based on the recorded Home Point Location, YES CourseLock is very much liek SMART mode on the 350QX line up which I also have and dislike BUT I can see where it would be useful for new pilots.
Mark Edell No - RTH is handeld with the channel that controls your GPS, ATTI & Manual mode, anytime the channel travel is in between these modes it will be in Failsafe and if you have the GPS compass installed you can check the box in the Assistant for Failsafe RTH and Land
Hi. I'm following your video for dx8 programming and get to this video and now your using a dx9! Does this make a difference to the programming steps? Many thanks
The first two videos in this series are parts 1 & 2 for the DX9 radio while part 3 of for the DX8. The rest of the video using a DX9 still applies to DX8 since the programming doesn't change and the videos focus on connections for the Naza and Rx and setting up Naza Assistant.

When updating to the latest AirWare you must also update the sound. Link is provided on your update page. All sounds are working for me.

At the moment I only have a 6 CH Orange receiver. What is IOC remote gain and do I need that?

freemarlochip Hmm So do I need IOC for the return to home feature?
