In June of 2021, local law enforcement conducted a surprise raid on this funeral home and crematorium after an anonymous complaint came in about the facility. The complaints alleged heavy smoke was coming from the crematory chimney, bodies were awaiting cremation and not being properly stored and bodily fluids were leaking onto the floor of the facility. Due to the number of bodies that were found inside the funeral home, the authorities were forced to call in the assistance of several local licensed funeral homes from the surrounding area. In 2018, the owner and operator of this establishment had his mortuary science license and the mortuary science establishment license revoked based on violations of the Occupational Code and other health and safety laws. Previously, this same owner and operator lost his license due to allegations of decomposing bodies, blood-stained caskets and complaints about employees working without protective gear at another of his similar facilities. This forced the shutdown of that facility and revoked his second mortuary science license. Following the closing of this first facility and the licence being revoked, he was no longer eligible to hold a controlling interest in a cemetery or crematory. But officials say he purchased the crematory in this location in early 2020. Join My Channel th-cam.com/channels/strXRqOR2dotMpxE81i8Jw.htmljoin Not Subscribed? I have seen other videos of abandoned funeral homes, and I am still appalled at the lack of respect, and the disregard for the families of those who have passed. Why doesn't someone contact the family members of the remaining ashes. So sad!😢 Thanks for making the video Dave, you must have felt a little creeped out!
I like it when you explore creepy places. The little urn you found that you mentioned might be for babies, is used to put ashes in when multiple people want ashes from the same person they give everyone a portion of the ashes in them. At least, that's what I received when we had our dog pass. My daughter wanted some of her ashes, and she received a little urn while I received the large one. It's possible they have more than one use. But that was my experience with it.
The owners punishment was not harsh enough in the 1st case and disgustingly insufficient in the 2nd case. I makes me ill to think the ashes of some of those people are still in there.
Hi Dave. Honestly, this video had me sketched out but I had to watch! lol. That owner should rot in hell for what he did not only to the bodies but their poor families. That little baby urn is actually to give some ashes to different family members. I have one with some of my mom's ashes. Creepy but still very interesting video. Thank you for sharing!🧡🏚🏘
Love abandoned places like this. Sad seeing remains left behind. Someone's family member or friend just left there. Funeral homes are always creepy, even when they aren't.
Hey! If youre in Michigan, please report the fact that there are still cremations in this place to LARA. Detroit's had a LOT of funeral homes with bodies and cremations left behind
Those 2 black boxes with plastic bags inside were filled with cremains...so that was someone's granny or poppop sitting there...they never got picked up.
I loved this one!! So interesting! Things like this have a great fascination for me. That looked like an awful place to work. Nothing of empathy or respect for the dead. Sad to see that any remains were still there. (we went through something similar with my ex, had to collect them after a year sitting unclaimed on a shelf in the facility) funny bit to end with - I was wondering why you were whispering then realized that I could, and did, turn the volume up!!
The tiny urn you saw was a keepsake urn. Some Urn companies make a identical one to the loved one's urns. This urn will only hold like a spoonful of remains. If you are burying the full size urn, some members might want to have one. In which it can be important for a member of the loved one.
I wouldn't be touching anything in that place without gloves! In fact, I wouldn't even want to be breathing that air. I hope you don't get sick after being in there. Embalming chemicals are very toxic!
I have never seen a concrete burial vault. Both of my parents' vaults are metal. Don't know what kind of metal. Don't want to know. My happy ass is going to be cremated as cheaply as possible. No funeral, etc. Funerals are such a huge waste of money. The dead don't care. Spend that money where it can actually benefit the family. Edit: I wish you had picked those photos up off of the floor. No criticism of you. But damn. What if relatives see this?
The little tiny urns would not hold a baby. They were takeaways that were bought for remenbrances. I have had 3 pets cremated and one was a corgi mix and there boxes were the size that kid shoes came in
Really cool explore Dave, i always enjoy your videos. One really odd observation ive noticed about abandoned/closed down for criminal misconduct funeral homes especially in the US are black owned, just curious as to why that seems to be a trend. When you said cremation ovens it felt very concentration campy lol...have a good one 🤘
At least this one didn't have remains in it. I've heard (and been to one) where cremated remains were still there, although scattered, but it was quite obvious it was cremated remains which was sad. The one I visited (which was a small funeral home with a cremation oven in the basement) was shut down because the guy was exorting people and I guess failed an inspection, and he "disappeared" (ran off) over night and hasn't been found I don't think, but supposedly cops found a decomposing body in a casket in a herse in the garage and found cremated remains (powder) all around the place. Interestingly, some reviews said the guy was very professional and courteous and they would do business with the guy again, others said he was a crook/scum for exorting people (for example, telling people they had to pay an additional fee upon picking up the ashes, or he wouldn't release them, and that the initial charge -- which was rather cheap now that I think of it -- was just for the cremation services, but sounds like it didn't include any extras like an urn or any paperwork beyond perhaps documentation -- the backstory is somewhat not clear). But basically police raided that place, found the cremated remains of some 20 people (some going back about 10 years from the time the place was shut down which was about 15 years ago now, so cremated remains of people dating back to the 90's -- place was shut down around 2010). There was also a rather gruesome story about a crematorium, I think in OH, in the 90's that was taking in more bodies than they could handle, and they were stacking bodies in the furnaces and in freezers due to the number of cremations they had booked, but the kicker was that they lied to the authorities about what the company actually did. I think it was said that they claimed to be doing research or maybe something with chemicals but some locals knew the difference in smell of a crematorium versus say a chemical factory.
You are extremely brave and strong hearted to go into a place like this. Not only is it scary thinking of ghost myths , but more importantly sad to think about all the deceased people. Even not knowing who they are personally, the pictures themselves of the dead, still makes me wanna give condolences to the unknown family and friends of that dead person.

You always provide awesome abandoned content. Thanks!
So so sad. This doesn't look like its been abandoned for long. So disrespectful. My heart breaks for the families of these deceased loved ones
In the one scene at 4:00 you can see fresh plaster on the wall.
Knowing that the remains of people still there is disturbing indeed!
I agree but that is because no one bothered to pick them up. I know an undertaker has about five urns in his basement that no one claimed.

If you can’t show the dead any respect you sure won’t respect the living! Cool video bro! 🤘❤️👍
Is it just me or did anyone notice strange sounds or noises in the background?
Very creepy place. It's sad when they leave abandoned remains of people
Great Video bro.
Glad you enjoyed
Pretty freaky and eerie place, Dave. Interesting story and it really puts life into perspective. Thanks.
Oh man...your killing me....."there's nobody in there", lol
That's disgusting and creepy Dave. Talk about neglect and disrespectful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

There are some free Keurig Cups in that office lol
Thanks for the video

That machine for grinding up the remains is called a “ cremulator ”
" used casket"....... Um, did the dead person not need it anymore and decided to return it??????? 🤣
nybody else say sweet mower @9:45 lol
A lot of stuff left behind, the owner obviously left in a hurry and had no way to sell any of that leftover stock.
@@forrestnelson5069 --- He left in a hurry but he did not get far.
Love your videos!
Thank you!
What a horrible story.
Keep up the good work 👏
This was very disturbing
Interesting video. Thumbs up.
Those ashes of those folks should get a proper burial. It's sad seeing stuff like that.

Me too!
Sad

That place looks like a building site than a crematorium
I think this is the first I have seen where there is the cremation equipment still in the building.
It happened here in Colorado. Return to nature funeral home. It has been torn down.
Creepy and eerie..
What floors me is the fact that peoples ashes are still there. I'm wondering why family members haven't asked for those ashes.
Sadly, they probably couldn’t pay the cremation bill. 😢
The dead are buried and there will not be any haunting. Unless any people died here
I smell something cooking

Really hope those erns are like fake demo display models
It’s rust not blood stains.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
