Thank you for documenting this for everyone to see! This is absolutely awesome! Question: Is there a reason why you didn't use blocking (bracing) between your 2x6's? Maybe it's just hard to see from the video, but I think that would have reinforced the entire roof significantly for not much more work.

Thanks for watching. I didn't use any blocking between the 2x6 purlins, but I did put several diagonal braces in from the underside. You can see those in the previous video of me setting the trusses and purlins. I am not a professional and I have never seen anyone blocking the purlins, but that is a good idea. The metal kind of does the same thing and stiffens the roof up a ton after installation. Overall, I am very happy with the strength and rigidity of the roof system. Thanks again for watching!!
