Malak regretted his decision to join the Dark Side when he was mortally wounded on the Star Forge in his final duel against Revan. He died with sorrow and regret over his deeds but without hatred or malice toward Revan. Here, you hear a tinge of regret in his voice as he speaks.
I really appreciate how Malak has a respect for Luke’s optimism and his willingness to want to learn about why people fall to the Dark Side as they do.
I want to see Luke speak to REVAN next. A crusader, master tactician, Jedi, Sith, speak to the son of the Chosen One and grandmaster of the new Jedi Order.
"'Turn away from hope?' Hope is the reason they fell. Your father hoped to save your mother. I hoped to end a war. But that hope demanded action, sacrifice. What do you hope for, Skywalker?"
i love this, Luke talking about the fall of Jacen from Legacy of the Force....this is what I had hoped from Disney Star Wars but got something else entirely. I long for this Star Wars soo much. this has the soul that is missing currently. may the force be with you
I genuinely love these interactions Luke has with the old Sith. Despite their differences and the paths they take, they have intellectual conversations discussing the ideals and the flaws of their own orders. And the ancient Sith respect Luke for what he wants to do; despite being a Jedi. Malgus and Malak respect him. I'm tempted to see how an interaction with Luke and Kreia/Trayus would play out.
First off, I agree that these videos - Luke, Vader, and Palpatine having conversations with previous Sith Lords - are great. Second, I think Malak and Malgus respect Luke because unlike the Jedi Orders those two were familiar with, Luke was willing to admit that the Jedi were flawed, but sincere. That they, that he had made mistakes, and he wanted to learn so that those mistakes won't happen again. So that the chances of history repeating itself will be significantly reduced. Third, I would like to see a video that would be a hidden chapter of sorts for the Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse. Towards the end, after Abeloth was finally defeated, Luke and Jacen talked again. They saw the future again, but Jacen pointed out and clarified something. The Sith Lord was going to appear again. The Sith would rise again. But in that future, he saw his daughter standing with the Sith. But now, that future wasn't going to happen. He had changed the future so that his daughter wouldn't join the Sith. I'd like to see a video continuing this conversation, starting with Luke saying, "Why didn't you tell me? Come to me?" And Jacen would tell Luke cold facts - witnessing the collapse of the New Republic, the attempts to maintain peace after the Vong War, sending him and his siblings to Myrkr, knowing that they were all troubled, especially Anakin. Well, the creator of these videos can take it from there.
@@ytafan4068 Agreed. Jacen knowingly sacrificed his life and put the galaxy in a small civil war to guarantee that Krayt's rule of one empire never comes to pass. I always wondered what Luke would think knowing that Jacen did briefly darken the universe to ensure that the light would thrive.
@@TK-ev Uh, that's not entirely correct. Krayt's Rule of One Empire did come to pass. Jacen's actions ensured that his daughter wasn't going to be at Krayt's side.
@girl1213 Maybe. But I sometimes wonder if Jacen had told everyone after The Swarm War and before things went to hell in the Legacy of the Force series, other options could have been explored. And Solo-Skywalker family and the galaxy wouldn't have endured additional suffering. One more thing in regards to a potential conversation between Luke and Jacen: When asked why he didn't tell Luke, Jacen's response: Honestly, I don't think I've completely trusted your judgement since Myrkr. You knew how Anakin and I were, what we were thinking and feeling, and you still sent us on that mission. You still let Anakin lead. And throughout most of the war, you've hesitated in acting against the Vong. Had it been anyone else, even the Hutts, you would have acted sooner and more swiftly. Vergere trained me to do that. Similar to Corran's "action without urgency" statement. I learned to do what needed to be done and not be concerned about the consequences. Who i was died at Myrkr and during my imprisonment, I walked through the land of the dead to come back to life. I witnessed everything you and my parents fought for and built crumble to ashes. You started rebuilding, and then things threatened to disintegrate again. I wasn't going to let that happen again. Sometimes, the ends do justify the means. Another thing Vergere forced me to learn.
Malak is an interesting one. He says some profound things in the game if you let him and it made me walk away thinking he is not just a mindless brute but instead he is a serious and deep thinker.

These videos may be short, but they have made me more happy than the past ten years of Star Wars under Disney. Truly wonderful, these videos are. Brought peace and happiness to us fans, you have.
Darth Malak is my most favorite Sith Lord. I often wear his outfit on SWTOR. Mainly my Jedi Knight character who is a Sith Pureblood. Malak is so underrated among Sith Lords from Marka Ragnos on down to Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, Darth Luminya, and Darth Krayt. Even in my Star Wars fan fiction I'm writing, Im bringing Darth Malak's ghost to be a teaching point for my main Jedi character as training. Malak would have alot to teach future generations of Jedi and Sith alike.
Interesting to see Malak give a somewhat objective stance here. He may have been tainted by the Dark side but he was smart enough to recognize the flaws that the Jedi of his era had
Fear of losing someone you love is a key component to turning toward the dark side. Anakin had nightmares of Padme dying. He hope to learn forbidden powers from sith teaching to save her. Jacen like his grandfather had nightmares of his daughter Allana in constant threat from war and chaos. He join the Sith hoping to master the dark side to bring peace and stability in the galaxy for her. Unfortunately dabbling in powers they don't understand end up costing their own humanity.

Luke took those words to heart, and it shows. What kind of torment could he have felt to lose hope? His seeing the mistakes of both the light and the dark are a means to observe the force's balance and to bond with it, just as Qui Gon did. The conflict in the force is something the Skywalkers have in their blood. When you can't take sides, it'll break you and leave you feeling torn apart. Luke's choice to become a Jedi was as a last resort when his family was killed and he was left with nothing. It wasn't his first choice initially, and he just didn't want to do it. The essence of the force that would resonate best with Luke was feeling the force through his father, wanting to embrace it and rescue his father despite being encouraged to kill him. Luke's defiance has been in favor of his heart. He has that Qui Gon defiance to dawn the green lightsaber. After Luke had rescued his father, he decided to consider what Yoda said of passing on what he had learned. Luke, at this point, had forgiven his father and wanted to understand his actions. In realizing his father's actions were of the heart, Luke can truly relate to him. Taking Yoda's advice and passing on what he learned, Luke took on students, and this was his first experience of taking on the role of Master. Being the only Jedi Master, Luke trained the students alone, and when he lost them, he took his failures to heart. It is this moment Luke gets in his head about how he almost slipped to the dark side in his readiness to kill his nephew, assuming he was slipping from the light. Luke wasn't prepared, nor did he have the help he needed to take on a school of force sensitive beings. After seeing the same events he conquered in the past be repeated, Luke felt nothing but disadvantaged and defeated. He didn't have the degree of training needed to teach a school of students, especially since he had trained at an older age. He knew he could never take on the First Order by himself. Luke began to close himself off from the force after losing hope. He didn't want any part of the thing that brought him nothing but pain and loss. Just as with the final confrontation with his father, Luke's immediate response was not to fight family. In seeing a glimmer of hope, he looked to the force and gave himself in an effort to ensure that hope remained.

This channel has dialogue beyond the likes of any official Star Wars content. The only thing that could make it better it considering Legends canon over the sequels
OMG! I have tears in my eyes! The dialogue in your vids are not just superb, they also keep getting better! Imagine if a scene like THIS is what the Disney trilogy-that-should-not-be-named had provided us! Luke, a grand Master, actually seeking answers instead of just rotting away for no reason, & he seeks answers where there is risk, but he simply has to. He could have done this alone, as this example shows, or Rey could have accompanied him. Either way, it would have been so far better. Your vids are conflicted pleasure. They are wonderful what-if's but also a reminder of what we should have gotten from official source but tragically never will. Because they are stupid, ignorant & give no crap about us or SW. Once again, we must turn to the fandom itself to get real SW. Thank goodness that people like you exist.
Your best audios are the ones in which one or both characters leave the scene having changed or learned something. Your worst ones are the ones where both characters talk circles around each other. This is one of your better ones, though I wish either Malak or Luke would have been a little more receptive to the other's wisdom by the end. I'm looking forward to more high quality videos from you : )
The Jedi don't teach ppl to repress their emotions, but to overcome them. Like most SW fans, you buy into the false narrative that the Jedi repress emotions, and it's based on a failure to understand their code. There can be no middle ground between the 2 orders because of their worldview of the Force and the value of life.
@@decepticonxhunter4850 Like most star wars fans? Oh, I get it, you're one of those toxic star wars fans who thinks themselves above the majority of fans. Let me reply then and correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't it forbidden to be married or have a bf/gf in the Jedi order? That sure sounds like it's suppressing emotions to me.
TRUTH is the true HOPE KILLER, and her is WHY: The problem with HOPE is that it’s a Group Effort, but the TRUTH is not everyone will play their part, for many will do it in spite of themselves. This is what tends to make HOPE, treacherous. This is WHY, we should create our OWN HOPE. Don’t wait for good things to happen, MADE them happen. 😉

To be honest to ME, it is foolish to search for knowledge in a attempt to prevent pass mistakes. Things WILL ALWAYS fall apart, always had, and always will. Who knows what WE will have to face this next four years, of our lives.
“A FIRE that fuels creation and gives purpose were it is none.” The Dark Lord from Doom Eternal
This channel has dialogue beyond the likes of any official Star Wars content. The only thing that could make it better it considering Legends canon over the sequels
Please do another video where Master Luke Skywalker meets Reven🤞🏻🙂
Marka Ragnos talking to Yoda 😳
What the sequels could have been if they hadn't destroyed luke
Malak respected Luke by the end of their chat.
I like how Malak’s ghost still has to use a voice modulator.
We abide in a universe of polarities. True peace is found in the balance at the center of those opposites.
This was an unexpected, yet VERY fun watch! If you haven't done so already, PLEASE to a video of Luke meeting REVAN!
Your best audios are the ones in which one or both characters leave the scene having changed or learned something. Your worst ones are the ones where both characters talk circles around each other. This is one of your better ones, though I wish either Malak or Luke would have been a little more receptive to the other's wisdom by the end. I'm looking forward to more high quality videos from you : )
That was so badass! 👍🫶
This was absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was worried when Luke said his nephew until Malak said Jacen. Thank the stars.
From what I've seen, there should be a middle ground between jedi and sith. Not too repressed like the jedi and not too chaotic like the sith.
Seems like the gray jedi, would thrive, but they don’t, I find that worthy of study
Jacen Solo was the ultimate balance between light and dark. I would love to see Jacen talk to Darth Revan
These videos are getting so good that Disney is gonna cease & desist them 😅
I really like to see a dialogue between reven and luke anyway Excellent work
The music playing at the end, maked me think that Luke Skywalker will turn to the Dark Side, maybe
TRUTH is the true HOPE KILLER, and her is WHY:
The problem with HOPE is that it’s a Group Effort, but the TRUTH is not everyone will play their part, for many will do it in spite of themselves. This is what tends to make HOPE, treacherous.
This is WHY, we should create our OWN HOPE. Don’t wait for good things to happen, MADE them happen. 😉
Let's give a nod to the writing of these pieces, some of the best I've seen in the format. The story is the foundation of any production yet all too often studios forget that for putting in more explosions.
Luke and Traya would be an interesting conversation.
