I love this company. They are an example of people who actually do the work and therefore their designs are designed for people that need it by people that know what you need. They've really got an edge and really thought through all the problems they've experienced themselves in their own work and then tweaked things just enough to offer at minimum a better experience if not a perfect solution. I had never heard of them and then I bought a torque wrench and after that I look to them first every time.
Can i use diamond clear (satin) over underhood black for more protection and more easy to keep clean or do the underhood black the same right out of the box?.
If you're applying to bare metal or on top of coatings inside their re-coat window. If you're looking to clear old paint you should scuff/sand with 800 grit.
You should be able to use it. I don't see anything that's going to be different from any other 1K type of clear coat. You'd just need to sand the headlights to remove oxidation and then prep the surface to accept the clear coat. Clearing headlights are a common practice and most use 1K products on them.
