Dude you are the man, I have had the airbag light on since around 90,000 miles, I'm at 199,205 now. I checked it out because of me seeing your video, every damn wire but one was broken completely into. connected them back and now poof no lights on dashboard. Thank you for the video.
Hey J.J. I have had my Colorado into the dealership three times for this exact problem, first time was covered by recall, but last two times were around 200 dollars each. You showed me how to do it myself, I will be using very fine strand flexible wire of the right gauge if I can find it. Thanks for the excellent repair video !! You just got a new subscriber.
Thank you for this video!!! You were such a big help. I was having the same problem. My 05 chevy colorado has 224,889 miles and still Truck'N LOL. Thanks!!!
I have a 2008 Isuzu I-290 which is pretty much the same truck. The culprit in my truck for the airbag light staying on was a severed wire on the wire harness that connects from the floor harness onto the under rear side of the driver's seat...I re-connected the wire, and the light disappeared on the dash!!!
When I scanned it, it said it was one of the sensors I forget which one but I replaced both and it did not go away. I also bled the ABS module. I believe it has something to do with running 35" tires. I haven't cared enough to fix it since it is my off road vehicle. If yours is on you should have it scanned at Oreileys they have a scanner that reads chassis codes and go from there.
Hard to diagnose from here lol. I would start by using an OBD2 scanner able to read SRS codes and go from there. I believe Oreilys has one and do for free. It could be as simple a bad impact sensor. I hope this helps.
JJ thank you so much found the white/ brown wire broken in the rubber sleeve, hats off to you,
Thanks again, Frank

Do you happen to know what that ABS fault is on the truck?
