@@Joey_Helms Hey this footage is phenomenal! Would it be possible to get your permission to use some shots from it for a personal project? I'm a vfx artist, and I'd love to add some character/fx to some of them

I cannot chose a favourite shot, the whole 4 plus minutes is the winner for me! By far the best footage ive seen, anywhere, Ever ...for any volcano/ eruption. Utterly stunning, dramatic and detailed. Thank you!
Wonderful views but we'd love to see some slower paced video in addition to the quick short clips. We've followed the eruption since the beginning and drones provide the best overall view of the spreading lava. Looking forward, too, to learning more about the challenges of flying close to the crater. A suggestion: attach a small high/low thermometer to the drone to record the highest temp. They weigh very little.
I was thinking about the thermometer idea. I will be back in July. Maybe then. In the meantime I will have a slower, longer video coming too. Stay tuned.
People are maybe not so aware that sound recording on a drone only yields a high-pitched whine, and that the videos where you "hear" the volcano are sound designed, often without any sound recorded at the actual volcano.
I've finally found exactly the kind of filming of the volcano that I've been craving. The editing to the music and the images themselves are close to being perfect. The choice of sound effects and the music itself are close to being perfect. Well done, Joey! I'm seriously impressed!
