I can not believe that you said that because that's exactly what I am doing now crying my eyes out. My mother passed away and her and my dad wear together for almost 40 years she as well passed from cancer. It's really hard for me to look into my father's eye's. Love you Mom dance with the angels 😀

I know for most people this song is for their partner. For me this song was for my dad and I. He loved music like this and it's from him that I first heard this song. Even as a little girl I cried at how beautiful this music is. I'd stay with him for the weekend and we would just sit together and sit together, listening and softly singing along to songs like this. He made me mix CDs to listen to when I had to go home. I almost wore that CD player out.
Now I'm 22 and he's been gone 6 years, and today it's 5am, Father's Day. I love you Daddy. Thank you for introducing me to beautiful music and for being my best friend. Romantic love from any partner will never come close to the love I feel for you. Miss you always. One love.

My husband passed away from lung cancer in March of 2011.. When we first met in 1992 and he loved this song .. played it a lot for me .. He wasnt good at telling me how he felt .. he would put the "cassette" in while driving and we immediately held hands .. this song meant everything for me .. He is gone now and and i play this over and over when im feeling sad and it just makes me feel better.. I miss you David Armand Kinney ! Rest in Peace

My husband and I , This new year 2016 evening... we were alone at home...... Erick Clapton on the tv in a concert and started this song meanwhile I was preparing the dinner for two... my husband took my hand out of the kitchen, he hold me in his arms , we started to dance around the xmas tree and in the living room at the compas of this beautiful song.... was such a beautiful moment .... Reminds me of my wife. We celebrated our 30th anniversary Nov. 14th 2017. She passed from this world on the 29th two weeks later. She fought a battle with cancer for six years. She could fight no more. I miss you terribly my Love.

I understand I lost my husband when he was 42 it's been 22 years and I can still remember all memories. I now can smile when I think of him. Our boys are grown up. It deviated me. My first Christmas with our him. I put the tree up my kids were only 4 and 8. I didn't cry cause I didn't want to show them how hurt I was. I lived for my children. I'm 65 now and still can remember him telling me he couldn't wait to grow old with me and sit on a porch swing together.

This reminds me of my drinking too much days. I am married to an absolutely beautiful woman. I would feel tired going out. She would say have a couple of drinks baby and you will feel better. I did. We would have a wonderful evening and with a few more drinks, I was close to knee walking. She drove me home, we snuggled in bed, usually had sex the next morning. Yes she was likely an enabler but she stuck with me. Now, I am once in a while drinker and she is still gorgeous and I feel pretty good about myself. She and I are Wonderful Tonight. Thank you Lord for my Baby on this Easter who stuck it out with me.

I had a girlfriend who would put her arms around my neck, look into my eyes, and sing this song to me. I was not a Claptonite at that time, and the song was new to me. Needless to say, it's now one of my favourite songs. The girl and I eventually went in separate directions, but whenever I hear this song, I smile, and think of the sweet girl who thought I was wonderful that night.

This was my sisters favourite song .i wish she had been happier in her life than she had been .she seemed to never let go of her passed .Which left others none the better from it. Although I wish her peace and happiness.now.
