Hello BB walker. First off, I learned a lot from your video and thank you for that. My concern is I'm a beginner player and I bought a MIDI file from Ebay via USB. I play by ear and I'm used in playing F key. My objective is to play along with the karaoke midi in the USB and sing at the same time. However everytime I transpose my keyboard, the midi also transposes together. How do I transpose my keyboard only without transposing the midi file at the same time in the USB.
I assume you have used "global" transpose buttons on the left size of the keyboard (next to + - tempo) and you are right - this option transposes key you are pressing and all midi output by the given amount of semitones (up or down) in diatonic scale (12 semitones) . If you want to leave the original key of the song in midi file with parallel "global" transposing keyboard at the same time - you need to compensate transposition. For example if you transpose globally 4 semitones up, do channel transpose 4 semitones down in song creator / channel transpose as it is shown in this video. regards.
@@BBWalkerTV i followed your instructions and like you said, it was magic. I was able to play with the midi song. So I saved the midi file after I transposed it. But it did not save the file with the new change key. When performing, it will be frustrating for these process to do in every song. So any suggestions how to save them with the transposed keys. Using the "global transpose" button on the right side of the keyboard only effects playing, it affects the midi output to be specified. On the other side, If you transpose Channel using options in functions like show you in this video and then you Save your song it Will Be saved in midi file. However Your case is another because you also want to transpose playing saving the channels in MIDI file doesn't solve your problem My solution is to create a new registration Bank and save every new song in the registration memory with the global transpose enabled. By loading configuration from registration Bank you will load the song and the transpose settings at the same time. Hello BB Walker, Actually I m playing some songs with the seperated rythms like drums beat only in the entire song with bass included. After that i copied to the flash drive and connected to my S670 keyboard. then I start playing along with the seperated drums. In that case I need to transpose the seperated song is in A minor then how would i transpose to G minor...? Is it possible to transepose the usb Audio player songs to transpose is ny question.......? Thanks......
Hello. You mentioned USB Audio player so I assume this song (bass line) is not in MIDI but as audio (WAV , mp3) in that case you can not transpose it. The shortest way is to record your own "midi" bass using multi channel recording and than you will be able to "transpose" in the fly.
