    Man, I have the same trust issues with garages, always completed my own services/rotations, unfortunately the one I needed recently I couldn't do due to a medical reason, I begrudgingly took it in, I must say from going into picking up my truck I was super impressed.
    They had a driver take me home.
    They sent a video of the service, I could see the wheels off and I know the rotation was done due to inconspicuous markings on each tire 😂.
    I could also see the oil filter removed.
    When my truck was ready they called and sent a Lyft to pick me up.
    No drama, no bullshit, really impressed.

    My nissan service has been pretty good so far. I had a subaru, the service department did the same thing, they listed they rotated tires and did not, when i confronted them about it they asked me how I could tell. They also used the wrong oil, and claimed they did not that it was just an mis print on the invoice, I told them it was not as my MPG went up 2+mpg which is consistent with going from 0-30 to 0-20, they also tried to argue this point with me. Then they wrecked my vehicle and refused to properly fix it. The paint match was awful, but since they said an outside body shop did the work, any further repairs for their wreck would need to be covered be me. Some of the behavior of these dealership service departments is beyond criminal.

    Wow the same thing happened to me. I owned a 2017 NV200 and went in for an oil change and tire rotation but they never rotated my tires. I knew this because it's front wheel drive and the rims had a lot of brake dust on it whereas the rear tires didn't have any. The amazing part is they continued to lie about it when I questioned them. Needless to say I didn't go back to that particular dealership for sales or service. Now I have a 22 Frontier and when it was time for my 5k oil change, I went to Walmart instead. At least I could watch them.... sad but true.

    Sucks to see this happen. My experience with Toyota dealers was the same. I bought a brand new 2023 rav4 and took it into for its first oil change, car was sold with a 2 year complementary service. The oil interval from the factory said to change every 6months or 5000, service manual did mention that 10k interval was okay but only if the car met the criteria and that was only if no towing and mostly all high way miles. Dealership didn’t change the oil and just rotated the tires and told me to come back at 10k miles 🤦‍♂️. My car does a lot of short city trips and lots of on/off starts which doesn’t qualify for 10k oil intervals. From now on I just do my own oil changes.

    It is best to learn to do your own scheduled maintenance, and end up saving a lot. There are plenty of TH-cam videos on how to for your vehicle.
    If you still want a dealership(stealership) service then go to a different dealership as the one you went to lied, skipped, and got your seat wet. Unless you like getting screwed then keep going to that dealership.

      I CAN do this stuff.. I chose not to because it's a lease and included the maintenance package of oil/rotations in my pricing. Has to be a dealer service or I'd be throwing money away. I did this for tax savings.. as a business lease.

    Just keep the paper work from oil changes from a good shop, or change it yourself and your warranty will remain valid. Dealerships pay their "mechanics" a flat rate for each job, so the more corners they cut the more money they make - the incentives DO NOT work in the customer's favor

    Went in for my second oil change and requested a tire rotation. The service advisor came in to the waiting area and told me the front tires had more tread depth than the rear? I told him I had replaced the original Hankook tires with Goodyear…to insure the tires warranty the tires have to be rotated ever 3000-6000 miles.

    The current Nissan fix for the seat is to remove the cover from the seat back switch, the claim is that upon exit of the vehicle the back of your leg hits the switch and causes the seat back to recline. How many times has the truck locked you out while it was running?😅

    • @netcruzercars
      @netcruzercars  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Never been locked out yet. You gotta make sure the extra manual locking rocker beside the handle is not halfway, put it in position and never touch it. And the seat thing is happening a lot less with age.

    Nissan dealer here in TN took my sister's Altima in for an oil change, and new battery. 2 hours later, DONE! After she got home, OLD BATTERY STILL IN CAR, and oil still dirty as f&&&! However, tech notes states battery changed, and oil changed. NOT! I just called the owner, and he really wasn't apologetic. Told us to come back in and he'd oversee the work. HELL NO! I told them she was getting a 100% refund, a BBB complaint, and the worst google review (with pics) they could have ever expected. That review saw over 2,000 hits. Never any contact with them after that, and have never been back (and never will). I swear, you gotta check EVERYTHING before you even leave the dealer these days!!!

    I have never rotated tires in all years of owning vehicles, and I have never ever had tire issues. Proper air pressure is key. For your truck all 4 should be 35 psi. The seat recline is probably when you get out you may be hitting the power recline switch , it is in a odd spot. I have read some guys have same issue as you.

    You need to find a new dealer to go to mate. The service center at the dealer I go to is like night & day compared to yours. When Nissan sends you the survey for your visit, be completely honest in how it went. Might light a fire under that dealership to actually do their work. Don’t know your location, but there has to be a better dealer close to you.

  • @marka980
    @marka980 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Why didn't you MAKE them rotate the tires after they told you they didn't? I'd Never let any garage I went to get away with that. The very 1st thing you do is ask for the Regional Managers number to file a complaint. Make them give it to you even tho they will be very resistant to the idea. Dealers get bonuses on a quarterly basis. They actually loose money for every complaint the Home office gets. Never deal with the Service Manager. He'll only try to kiss your a** to keep you from complaining. Techs get paid on a hourly type flat rate, but not on a hourly rate. If a certain job is expected to take 1 hour and the tech does it in 30 min, he still gets paid for the hour, but is 30 min ahead to get the next job done. A really good tech can get paid for 12-14 hours in just an 8 hour day. You let that tech get paid without doing the work he got paid for. Never walk out of a dealership until you are satisfied with the work you paid for. If you try to be the nice guy and not go back to that dealership again, you'll run out of dealerships to go to, before they run out of customers like you.
