Good video, however, the 458 utilizes a dry sump system. You MUST check the oil while the car is running and the oil temp is at least 194 degrees. Furthermore, the crankcase bolts need to be torqued to 60 nm. All of this information is per the Ferrari Manual for the 458.

      I literally did.

Great video! I think there may be an issue with your torque recommendations. The manual says 60nm for the crankcase plugs, but “tighten securely” for the sump plug. I am be no means an expert, but I wonder if your Ferrari expert was recommending 10 ft lbs for the sump drain - which is probably a great number for that one - but it may not be sufficient for the crankcase plugs?

Absolutely not. I have a 458 and Ferrari recommends "Shell Helix Ultra 5W40" per the owners manual. Unless you're an engineer for Ferrari, use what they say to. Same goes for any manufacturer.

@@2carprosTruth be told. It's better if you choose an oil that protects this engine against low speed Pre ignition, since it's a direct injection high performance engine. I would strongly recommend shell helix ultra 5w40 API SP or any API SP engine oils from renowned European brands like Motul
