The lady is Lisa Edwards, a long-time back-up singer for John and a recorded singer in her own right. John always gives appreciation and credit and spotlights his talented musicians who support him. As to the 'light' of John, if you look at his discography many of his songs, in different ways, have a message for the greater good for the world. I believe John to be a spiritually- oriented, but not necessarily religious, person. His Soul shines in concert. I don't think we will ever see John sing or put on a concert again. He has had part of his jaw removed from the operation on cancer and has to learn to talk through his mouth again. Thanks to You Tube the world can still be introduced to and enjoy John Farnham's brilliant and joyful gift to the world. May the healing angels be with John on his road to recovery.

Another classic example of John's exemplary microphone technique. He is so good at knowing how far away he needs to hold his microphone so as not to either drown out other singers and/or his microphone with his prodigious power that he would need minimal 'mixing adjustment' from the console during songs etc. It's amazing to watch.

He always make sure he gives everyone in his band and opportunity to shine. He has even sang as back up singer on his back up singers albums. Once Stevie Nicks toured with John Farnham. People watched John Farnham Perform and the left before Stevie had finished her set...she complained and said the she didn't realise she was performing with the Frank Sinatra of Australia. She changed the order of appearance and started going on first and shortened John's set. So people came late...poor lady.
Yes, being at a Farnsey concert is a ten-fold lift even on a video. I have been to concerts from Bruce Springsteen, Meatloaf, Neil Diamond, Cat Stevens, Bette Midler, Elton John, to name a few, but I have only been at one that came close to John in concert, and that was Simon and Garfunkel.
John did a NYE gig at a local footy oval in a country town of 30,000 that I happened to live in, at the the time was at the peak of his powers. Could have sold out an arena, but took his music to the people also.

Whoever John teams up with, there is magic..Eveyone knows John is a 'jokester'/mucks around but there is TRUE MATESHIP & RESPECT AS EQUALS. No diva/competition behaviour. Took him awhile to get himself under control. :) Lisa Edwards had her own career before joining him, like all the rest of them, and she is actually as skilled and as powerful as he is. If its purely about likes, subscribers and income...then stick with Angelia Jordan and Home Free's greatest covers (do either of them actually record original music?).
