    Thanks for the video. I recommend wearing safety glasses when making cuts like you did.

      Yeah, super interesting to finally understand it. I'm definitely hanging the chunk of material on my wall for future reference lol. Thanks for watching Forrest!

    Quite the interesting little solution you got there, I like that. I’m running a solar panel permanently on my rig and my batteries are always freshly topped off, except in the morning.
    I got to say I love my national luna fridge, it’s a hell of a good refrigerator. .) cheers!

      I have a portable one I run when I can. Washington is inconsistent lol. Do you keep your fridge running 24/7?

    I bought that same type of plug for my cargo trailer, and this is by far the most helpful video.

      Agreed. While he's nice enough and the info is great, this could have been a 2 minute video at best.

    Very nice. Thanks for sharing . I just ordered a couple from amazon as they are sold out at the few stores in my town. I want to power a couple heaters in my enclosed trailer . Try out some winter camping. Cheers.

    i have a ford escape with a built in factory 110 outlet so i would like to install this in my car to go camping and i can just plug a multiple outlet extension to my 110 outlet and i’m good though i will be also upgrading my inverter in my car. i would be so comfortable camping i have an inflatable bed that fit in the rear passenger seats.

    Does it come with a rubber washer or weather seal between the outside of the canopy and the unit? Maybe add some rubber sealant?

      @EvergreenOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes good sir it does come with a rubber gasket. I recommend a thin layer of Lexel Sealant for good measure.

    I just bought this and want to install on my 2011 Forester but unsure where it could go? (Was thinking rear liftgate)

    • @EvergreenOverland
      @EvergreenOverland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I think it can go anywhere you feel confident enough to drill a big hole within reason lol. I guess it depends what you are trying to run the power to on the inside of the vehicle?

    I noticed the surface you drilled into isn't completely straight. Did you have any trouble with leakage from rain?

    I was recently looking at buying one of these to install on my Ram front lower wind scoop to accept my diesel block heater cord but I've heard that the NOCO has trouble with some units where one of the terminals would break off from all the plug due to the plugging and unplugging. Have you had any problems with the NOCO. I was looking for something more industrial but they just don't seem to be out there or they are too expensive. I think if I were to install this I would use bolt and nut style over self tapping screw.

      Honestly I haven't had it long enough to give a long term review but it seems pretty solid of construction to me. I think it it does wear out over a few years it wouldn't be that big of a problem to replace occasionally.

    Not to lessen your device but...Isnt this just like a gromet hole with a plug? I mean isn't a hole in the truck using an extension chord essentially doing the same thing (other than cosmetic of course)? Unless there was some kind of fuse/breaker inside of it. If not, is there a way to be able to attach a breaker/fuse? Thx

    • @EvergreenOverland
      @EvergreenOverland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could see your point but what I see as the benefits is the fact you are opting for a waterproof connection that is also very aesthetically factory looking and cuts down on the time of hooking whatever your ac port is going to power on the inside. No wrong way to go.
      I am not sure they have a breaker fuse option as I think a fuse fo 110v power is a little more complicated than for 12v. I could be wrong. Maybe they do have one with an open pigtail on the inside for you to wire up as you see fit🤔
      Thanks for watching and the interaction Art. I like talking through these things in the community.

    Can I put this on the side of my house to use my portable generator, just so I don’t have wires through windows in an emergency?
