Hi Christi. Just saw this video and thought I would share that on Ram Promaster you can put the Noco shore power under the taillight in the rear. You would only be make a hole in the plastics and the cord feeds through your taillight to the inside. There is a rubber piece and if you want to see what I’m talking about I posted a video on me installing it. Sooooo much easier and no holes in the metal. I figured if I messed up I could replace the plastic taillight piece. Hope this helps anyone else. Don’t mind the very unedited version of my video. Going to check out your other videos. Stay safe

Love what you are doing to the van! Thanks for re-hiding my painted rock at Purtis Creek St. Pk. It was found and they were delighted to find it. Rocks travel and bring smiles. Thanks for passing the little fellow along. 😊
There are so many little things I tend to forget about when thinking about the build. Thank you SO much for doing this. I love this idea. I'm building a minimalist, no-build conversion and I love this idea.
Thanks for tuning in and commenting:-). I wanted to do as much myself as possible, and even now, I still consider this plug one of my best decisions ♥️. Best of luck with your conversion ♥️
Good work! I attached mine to pumper plastic of the van. The ProMaster has a cavity in the pumper area that you can fish in the plug wire without drilling into the metal sheet of the van. This is advantageous if you're risk averse (no possible leaks) or want the plug to be less obvious--stealth. Mine looks almost like factory against the black pumper plastic of the van.
🤣 I know it wouldn’t make most people think twice, but it felt monumental to me at the time lol. It really wasn’t a big deal but it was in my mind for sure!
Bravo!!🙌👍I really want to install one on my van but it is so hard to find someone that I trust to do it. I have bought the plug and have had it for over a year...still sitting in the box.🤦♀I wish I had your courage to do it myself. Excellent job.👍👍
I sure hope you can find someone (it really is a pretty easy process) because it sure has made a difference not having to run a cord through open window or door. :-). Best of luck to you.
Terrified. Yep, that's how I've been feeling with most every new step in the van build. And there are so many of them! After "grinding" some wall supports off (SPARKS FLYING!!!), in order to later jig-saw a hole for a window (another terror), I stress-ate 4 ice creams and 2 bowls of chocolate cereal!
Hi Christy. I am so glad you are choosing to share your building process. I am probably 10 older than you are and at your same level of experience. My hubby is not mechanically inclined, so I'm on my own. You are a big help to me already!!
I had mine done in '22. I'll admit that I chickened out & paid a friend to do it instead! Which worked out better because when he went through the first wall, he was met with a 2nd wall to go through. I got the same double plug you did. It is such a game changer from running an extension cord from a window to running it properly! I too put mine on a power strip. 👍

Hello Ozarks! I was just thinking about you :-). Thanks for checking in. I think I’m really going to love having this as a tool for travel. Have a blessed week.
You did a great job, I would have done it the same way; Also by drilling the pilot hole from the inside, you were able to put it exactly where you want it without having to guess where to drill the hole.
I see this can be a wonderful game changer, especially to charge the Jackery at night without having to leave a door or window open to run an extension cord. Nice! Thanks for all your great videos. New subscriber.

Good job being very careful to put up the plastic protection inside your van to catch the metal shavings. So few people do this step. I am surprised to see some new DYI people forgetting to paint with rust protection paint or primer. I wonder if they will have a rust problem there later. Since I need to do this external plug installation soon, your video is exactly what I need.
