Installing a new drive belt on Cub Cadet LTX 1040. Please take a look at my other videos, I have worked on this mower before, Also I re uploaded this video with out any sounds. Sorry about the sound I played fine on editor but seemed to have a issue when I saved it. Thanks for all the input and also please like and subscribe It would help me out. Thanks

Ok. I did it. Very helpful. I was prepared for it. I thought of something to make it easier. I tied a string on each end of the belt before pulling it out. then tied the string to the new belt. It made it very easy to pull the new belt in. I learn as I go also. Thanks again

Way easier to remove the engine pulley bolt. Once the bolt is out, the pulleys easily slip right off.
Some times they do and some times they don’t. But I want to say there was something in the way with just pulling the pulley.
Could have done it without the music in the background made it hard to hear you sometimes

I will be doing a edit on it. I’m still learning a lot with editing and adding music and such. It seem to play fine in the edit software but not sure what happened when I saved it. Thank you for the input it helps me learn from my mistakes and improve the videos for you all to watch. 😁.

What length belt you remember
I do not remember. I was able to look at it up with model. I know I have been able to get belts. At tractor supply at a good price.
Was it a 5/8 or 1/2 belt width
What was the belt size
The mowers have a couple different belt sizes due to year and model number. So I would look it by your model and SN of your mower.
Thanks for the video, but please DON'T play music DURING an install tutorial. I can't concentrate on what you are saying.
Sorry about that. I was trying to have music in just the spot where I was doing the time lapsed video but for some reason the editor I use put in other places. I have now edited the video and have no music and working trying to get that video posted,

I have another video that I post for pulling the deck on this mower. It was one early video so it make a little rough. I had to change the deck spindles on it.
I just took off the front pulley dropped right down. But I know they do stick sometimes ... great video thanks for taking the time to do this .

This is true. I have been using songs that in my movie editing software so I don’t have to worry about copyright issues

@@kingdeadlego Thanks man!! I was able to use most of your video to help e get there. Unfortunately, the dealer gave me a belt that was 2 inches longer. Starting over today... Appreciate the help!

I will be changing the upper little belt soon. I noticed mine is due for replacement just didn’t order it yet. The belt I’m talking about is the one under the battery.
